- Genshin Impact version 4.4 has prematurely dropped another new Abyss 12! I showcase a 4 star only strategy for destroying this abyss 12 and also showcase a day 1 Neuvillette Speedrun. This Abyss 12 has some of the most annoying enemies including the Ruin Serpent and the Setekh Wenut.

I didn't pull for xianyun but still used hu tao double hydro. Went fine, just dislike using "nyeh nyeh you can't hit me!" as a way to implement "difficulty."

The entire first half of floor 12 was a joke because Hoyo knows that the real challenge is chasing the two MF worms in the second half. This abyss cycle is definitely much easier than the previous one because there are no enemies that can one-shot you but goddamn those worms and their annoying movements. Personally, I prefer fighting stronger enemies head-on rather than running around the entire arena chasing enemies that doesn't want to fight you.

This is called artificial difficulty. Hoyoverse does this on purpose by either adding enemies that specifically stall you like these worms, or the wolf lord, or the senut worm, etc. to make it very obnoxious and tedious, or just make the same exact mobs bullet sponges with every upcoming spiral abyss.
It’s the peak of cringe combat design, but typical hoyoverse to make the worst decisions in anything.

For Setekh, you can pop up the bubbles with Kuki's ult. makes it way ez and fast.
You can do it with Yelan Ult too.
Mademoiselle Crabaletta & Surintendante chevalmarin can take care of those bubbles as well.😂 especially Crabaletta, as she explodes near the enemy.

Nah we just are on the second half of the version 4.x, every second half of versions gets hellish abyss to balance out the power creep. They are now designed with Neuvilette and Furina power creep in mind.

first side is a joke (i brought furina and neuv to trigger the ousia enemies stun and forgot to use it)
and second side just needs some work arounds, like Yoimiya is pretty fucking good this abyss since she can stun wenut and the chicken robot
they run away. this abyss is a nightmare. they spend more time underground than fighting you
its way easier than the previous one imo. The monsters also felt pretty squishy compared to other abysses so any single target dps are more than enough to beat them with a lot of time remaining

Try using a hyperbloom comp in the second half. No need to chase them if there are homing seeds going after them

They really added the 3 most annoying bosses in the bottom half. Though just one bow character is quite enough to deal with their quirkyness

I'm exhausted trying the Wenut over and over again
The pattern on setek wenut attack is: he does 4 random atk (digging fast, digging slow, tail shooting or dolphin dive) and them he does the flying attack which he can be stunned. To stun him just shot the air balls he drop while preparing the attack. Up to 2 different elements can be swiriled by his attacks and therefore have their resistance lowered while he's staggered
another tip is if you have a cryo character, make sure to put cryo status on the wenut so that it only does 3 attacks instead of 4

U can use neuvillette and furina in both halves. For the last boss, furina's pet can attack the core.
U don't need a bow character when using thse two.

just a note with wenut, I've tried with both benny and shogun, both their burst can insta pop him to the ground in the air phase, so don't actually need to shoot or swril them manually, instead you can just pop him down as part of the rotation setup =D
If you have Yelan on second half, you can use her barbed shot (special charged attack) for Wenut to instantly charge up an arrow that can hit two anemo orbs at once to stun the Wenut.
I'm actually quite happy to see old enemies coming back, especially the wenut, I killed that thing in abyss last year for 300+ times with ayaka everytime I feel stressed om studies, it was March I think(?
But since freeze team is more fun on first half, I run nahida hyperbloom on second, it was also the third abyss where I can just run 6 characters with 4* weapons and c0 5* characters (ayaka, kazuha, kokofish; nahida, kuki, xingqiu)
I think 1 thing to regard with 2nd half is to use units that have auto locking turrets like Fischl, Furina, Yae Miko, Nahida, etc.

And using hyperbloom teams, cause they will automatically lock on their targets.
Hyperbloom Nahida and Nilou bloom with Yelan is amazing in the second half of this abyss. Also, been having fun with my Xiao on the first half cause I finally got C6 Faruzan after failed to do so on her last 2 banners. Overall a fun abyss. Probably gonna go replay it quite a few times in the following weeks.
I think I’ll have quite a lot of fun optimizing different teams for this abyss. First half looks so fun 😆

I love your day one abyss run so I know what Im facing.
For the wenut, I used C0 Furina (instructors), C2 Nahida (gilded), C0 Baizhu (Deepwood), and C6 kuki (flowers).
Nahida's c2 lessens the resistance for hyperbloom and boosts hyperbloom damage along with her burst. Baizhu's burst boost hyperbloom damage, while deepwood further lessens the hyperbloom resistance. And, of course, instructors boost hyperbloom damage. With finally, the flowers of paradise lost set on kuki, all I have to do is leave her on field, while running into the dendro cores to let the bots do all the work.
The bow character might help with the wenut but there seems to be some kind of shenanigans with the boss hitbox in the air that might eat a CA meant for the anemo ball and if it does you might not have time to recover
Anyone know the reason for using the book trick during the speed run? I thought it was usually to catch particles but he had full burst energy
This alignment looks so easy, and you dont really have to worry about the electro and hydro immunity as past abyss

second half is Literally made for yoimiya, hence it is called the yoimiya abyss. Her long range helps hitting the worm and the serpent that are somewhat difficult to hit bcs of their annoying moving pattern which is an issue for short-ranged units

Nah, it is meant for Yae Miko. She's featured during this time period, and she hits 'em even when they are underground.
Nope it's very easy with hyper bloom.
More like for Yae and Nahida, both just set the skill and auto hit them.
The bosses in this phase are easy to kill with quickswap dps like navia neuvillette and with off field dps that deal homing attacks.

This is actually a really challenging abyss with these kind of enemies but now with neuvillette furina Miko Nahida it's easier to target and kill them so not gonna be as fun as the consecrated beasts and Cryo heralds one that was one of its kind we ever had.
Even though I already did 36 star, these vids are sm fun to watch😊
if you want to stun setekh in 12 - 2-B you can ult xiangling (or else) nearby the setekh head before the orbs set up their position, this is quite effective but you need a quite luck to get setekh stunned with this method
They all depend on RNG, we also can hit the orb with Kuki burst but it also depends on luck/RNG 🫠
I used Raiden overload in second half until the 3rd floor, then realized I didn't have arrow, then had to redo again. Pain
Second half is super easy if you have Tighnari or Lyney built, it's all ranged dps checks. But if you have to go melee against them then it's pretty painful
I just realized, it's been over a month but we didn't get C6 Navia video.
Used Raiden national but replaced xingqiu with yelan to shoot down the flying chicken in 2nd half of floor 12.
The went has a new pattern where you can hit the body where it's glowing, to knock it out of the sky. Added in 4.3, I think

But I feel like that team doesn't do enoughr dmg. But my hyperbloom team with fisch can deal with the second half in around 90s. Thank you so much for the help and great video!

as he said, be careful when using dendro traveller in a burgeon team, that makes the team a bit tricky so if you don't want to care about that you can use collei instead (or ofc the 5 star options like nahida, baizhu or even al-haitham)
I initially had some doubts about pulling c2 raiden... But after clearing this abyss with no retries... I'm absolutely satisfied
I love this abyss. I finally get to play hutao+xiayun(1st half) and tighnari spread (2nd half)
This was the first abyss I could 36 star :D, I just got really unlucky with the enemies in previous abysses
When you knock the Setehk Wenut out of the sky it will only have the resistance(s) that you used to knock it out of the sky lowered. e.g. he should have used a Chevreuse skill shot to have its Pyro resistance lowered.

For Wenut it will pop out of the ground 4 times then on the 5th time it will enter its flying mode. This repeats in that order until it is killed. At least this is how the boss acted on the first time we saw it in abyss and how I tracked when I needed to let loose.
a quick tip for everyone...
you can use Tighnari/Yelan, Yae Miko & Nahida for the second half with the 4th slot being any healer/shielder, that's a very comfy team too and you won't have to worry about rotations that much in that team.
I made a mistake of using Raiden with the Overload team. I had no archer for the last flying chicken boss. Good thing I already 3 star it with my previous team.
Although I didn't have a hard time clearing the abyss this rotation, I can understand why it would be a pain in the ass. I struggle with the Wenut as well last time lol, probably because i haven't build my characters enough that time.
I used Ayato Kazuha Xiangling Benny National Team as first team
then Alhaitham Nahida Kuki Xingqiu hyperbloom
kuki and alhaitham hitting the weaknesses of the aeon and the wenut definitely saved my ass
For 2. half i used my best Burst characters : Navia + Raiden +Furina and VV Jean, the 12.2.2 i used Navia to blast the orb somehow. and in 12.3.2 the chicken fell on ground after i popped Ult on Raiden.
The only one I did’t get 3 stars on was 12/1 because I was a few seconds too slow and don’t feel like going for a second round of it to shave 10ish seconds..
My initial thoughts when I saw the lineup that it will be hella difficult based on my previous experience with Wenut and Ruin snake but turns out they're actually easier for me now and 36* it on my first try. My teams were Xiao-Faru-Benny-Furina and Alhaitham-Nahida-Kuki-Yelan (5* are all c0) respectively. I think it also helped that the first half has less mob waves and is straight forward so there's enough time for 2nd half bosses.

Same for me! I though it's gonna be hell but my Xiao and Tighnari teams just blasted through on the first try. It was honestly easiest abbys for me... ever
They aren't on 12-3, so they are lower level and don't have as much HP as the previous versions.
My 2nd half of 12th floor was done thanks to Lyney Chevruse Bennet and EM Raiden team.
But my dumb ass took Alhaitham QuickBloom team for 1st half and those Alien 👾 monsters were the main challenge since they have high dendro res.
Im just glad I finally got yoimiya for single target, maybe I'll finally be able to kill the bosses.
What do you recommend if you didn't manage to pull Chevreuse for 2nd half team?
I forgot to bring Archer for robot chicken and worm but furina pet stunned them somehow 💀
I completed it with:
Neuvilette-fichl-kazuha-zhongli on 1st side and
Tighnari-nahida-reiden-kuki on 2nd side
Neuvillette 1st side is obvious and I found that burst dps is best for second side I so I debated weather I would use tighnari or lyney but I wanted to use tighnari so I did as for reiden I found that on tighnaris downtime she’s really good to keep the dps up in the end I was able to very comfortably clear it with 30 secs left on the hardest chamber aka the wenut
Tighnari premium team (Tig/Yae/Nahida/ZL) probably the comfiest team to clear 2nd half, Nahida and Yae can hit flying and underground enemies while Tig has a short burst DPS window and long range

One of the reason, why I pull Furina. Her auto attack is perfect for Ruin Serpent, Thunder Manifestation, Wenut, and Aeon Blight

Bro, I just returned to the game and I beat this new abyss on the first try (the green worm tip was unlocked on this abyss cause I didn't even fought it on the sumerh map yet lol) and my team was poorly builded
I still think a tier list of constellations (could be all constellations 1 then all constellations 2 etc...) would be sick

@@io2900wdym hyper bloom is the easiest on this floor 😂. It's either you don't have nahida or you don't have 1k EM. Cuz this Abyss is the easiest for me with hyper bloom . 1k EM raiden btw and she always crits😂
this is the first abbys i 12 floored and i know my characters arent build that good so i was so surprised lol
I used a Riaden National just for fun, I realised ı didn't used it for quiet a long time and ı need a high single target tema for the 2nd half. Also Keqing Nahida Furina Baizhu for the first half, Keqing'S aoe was enough for the first half and 600 primos is now mine
34/36, 12-3 surprisingly easy to 3 star but my neuvillette on 1st half doesnt do quite enough to give me enough time to deal with the serpent and the wenut so hopefully if i get good 4pc mare set i might be able to get it (regretting 2hp 2hydro build more and more by the day)

I wish they make abyss rotate like this.. a day after a new abyss is drop, we have a new lineup. Its just stupid sometimes when the abyss reset a day before patch then wait 2 whole week for new lineup

Ayaka Freeze with Kazuha on Fav Furina on Festering and a C6 Charlotte on Fav.
Substitute Kazuha with Sucrose on Sac Frag or Fav if you can, I tested it and it worked ok.
You don’t need Charlotte to be at C6 but I had her at that Constellation.
Team 2
Alhaitham Hyperbloom with Yelan,
Nahida and Kuki.
Definitely get Nahida if you can. She’s up at time of posting.
I full cleared with these two configurations, so if you’re struggling I hope this helped.

Internacional with Childe, fav/sac kazuha, Xiangling with the catch and Benny

Thignari spread- Slingshot Thignari, Sac frags Nahida, stringless fishil and any healer/shielder(i like to run a c6 diona with nobless and sac bow, but anything that isn't pyro/hydro works)
neuvillette first half gave me over 2 minutes to deal with the second half enemies hiding away lol, im happy to say this one was actually a breeze for me B)
what I'm seeing is that on second half, they put all the bosses that i have previously beaten easily with a tighnari team. the goat is back
As alhaitham main, neuvi and have yelan still easy just use first half neuvi and the second use yelan subdps and hylerbloom

These two combs really took the challenge away from abyss. Been using those 2 teams ever since they were available and have always first try full starred every floor 12 ever since.
I just did it. As expected very easy, but the Wenut dug out the ground from extreme opposite locations unlike in this video so I ended up wasting my Yelan's burst and only had Xinqiu's burst available when it fell. So the time was quite closer than expected. It may take a bit of RNG for some people, or use Neuvilette and Furina on second half instead since Furina's pet follow the Wenut
I finished the first parts so early just to get shafted in the 2nd half
what does the book thing accomplish and how and when do you do it?
Tbh it was a breeze for me lol. Nuevillete carried the entirety of 2nd chambers. I love him

The game as a whole is a breeze for you.
First half looks like floor 11 material, second half looks like double bad time for the first 2 chamber and plucking chicken for the final.
Overall pretty fun but reseting might be compulsory for some teams.
I think because my character is getting stronger vertically, like only getting constellation on rerun.
To be honest I can do the current spiral abyss like a breeze, on phone (6GB RAM), 12 attempt Floor 9 - 12. 36*.
Just a year ago I absolutely need to play on PC because I need to get the perfect timing, etc to complete 36*. Especially on the consecrated beast duo.
Completed 36* on mobile with Navia , Zhongli , Bennett and Xiangling Floor 12 first half and Raiden , Furina , Yelan and Jean 2nd half .
I found somewhere on TH-cam Raiden , Furina , Yelan and Jean team works great on mobile devices . Main problem is not exactlyF2P friendly . Unless you had planned from the start .
I finished last Abysm with same teams last time . This time I found it a bit easier .
i 36-starred it with
first half:
c1r1 wriothesley, c2 xiphos kazuha, c0 atlas mona, c6 aquila bennett
second half:
c0 wolf-fang alhaitham, c6 sac xingqiu, c4 umbrella kuki, c0 amber baizhu
This Abyss is way easier then the last one with Tulpa
If you have Furina, just Run mono hydro in the second half, and it won't even need a retry to finish it.
Furina's pets auto target Aeonblight Drake wings so it's a plus too

You have to stand behind the one on the left and they will group, then try to keep standing between them during the fight
This is only the spiral abyss where I can truthfully say that nuvellete power creep is felt. His charge attack trivialized the worms
My ayaka is going to have some fun on the top half lol. But ill probably use my hyper carry raiden on the bottom since im assuming its hp heavy. Ps. Hopefully we get better awards instead of 3 wishes
ngl Hyperbloom Neuvillette Furina breezes the 2nd half of Floor 12. At first Floor 12 is quite hard for me cuz I used C1R0 Neuvillette in 1st half, Burgeon team with Furina, Nahida and Dehya, 2nd half is Raiden, Yae, Chevreuse and Xiangling. But after I switched the teams and put kuki instead of Dehya for Hyperbloom Neuvillette on 2nd half, it feels really good to fight the bosses since it's Neuvillette and nahida/kuki hyperbloom has strong sustain dps. 1st half is kinda tricky on my C1R0 Raiden team cuz I don't know how to group the two construction mechs in 1st chamber, but everything after that is quite a breeze to defeat.
i used Nilou bloom and Gaming Furina combo, it went well
This was honestly not that bad. The Setekh Wenut chamber gave me the most trouble, but redoing it with full energy helped and I got 36*. My team for the top half was Bennett, Xiangling, Kazuha, and Yelan, bottom half Raiden, Kokomi, Nahida, and Fischl/Tighnari.
This abyss rotation was actually comically easy for me even though I had really bad RNG for second half
While I know the strat i used isn't accessible, if you have what is needed, you'll have a great time clearing -
Top half: Nilou bountiful core team (w/ Nahida, Baizhu, Furina)
Bottom Half: Lyney overload (w/ Raiden, Bennett, Chevruse)
The second half was pretty trivial when i used tighnari yae nahida tbh
i cant even pass through the first half the enemies keep moving around me

This abyss feels way easier than the last. I've done It twice to test some stuff using Itto and Cyno teams on the first side, with Nahida Hyperbloom and Hutao Double Hydro on the second side. In both cases the first parts felt like a joke, and the Ruin Serpent and Wenut were a pain just because they spend half of the time underground. Ironically the 12-3 was the fastest chamber, ending with over a minute left, just because I can actually hit the boss.
Honestly? I enjoyed the last 2 abyss rotations way more just because it actually forced me to be carefull with the enemies, not just facetank them and unload ungodly amounts of damage.
