the 10 4 hand, was a clear value bet once he checks. You block a lot of two pair comboes with the 10 blocker and no way he is checking KJ on the river... given the player type. If he check raises river then you can evaluate
Flop hit hero’s J which makes the 9 draw dead, Hero had A so the pocket nines was dead on the river that made the straight because the Hero had a higher straight.
Lol yeah I was going to point that out. He must have messed up with his notation, and wrote down the wrong hand.. unless the all in mucked and only verbalized after the hand was over that he had 99’s because didn’t realize the straight was out there? If the all in flipped and showed his 99’s there on that board, the dealer and rest of the players are obligated to point out that he has the winner even if he was not aware of it. Not sure that one did not make a ton of sense
You popped up on my discover page, I watch a lot of poker vloggers but you are the easiest for me to follow along with. I play a lot of 1/3 & I'm learning from your videos that I am not betting enough. You guys go crazy even just for 1/2!
On the first hand with Aces, does it make sense to bet the river? Especially if he’s checking to you? I’m trying to value bet more on the river with more of my top pairs where I think I’m good? Would that not have been a good spot to value bet the As?
In your AJ vs. 99 hand you say that you "scoop a pretty nice pot", but the runout in the video shows that a nine made a straight which would beat your third pair. Was this video from some other session or did you misremember the outcome of the hand?
I like the AJ call. Tough spot but multiple combo draws can jam there as a bluff w equity to hit the river if called. You unblock hands like QJhearts, which is a hand that makes this play.
Beginner here, I understand that he had Kings and such in his range but how is he not concerned about villain actually having a king or two considering that villain was first to raise pre-flop?
@@ctsigma_what king other than K10 (and even then) takes the check, check, jam line here? If he thinks he has the best hand with a king wouldn’t he play to get value from hero? Sometimes 10 10 that turns a set can play this way and spazz out but this feels way more like a semi bluff with either complete air or pair plus draw. Which we have outs against. Great call

From experience: DON'T ask to see their cards when they're mucking. Had he had some junk hand better than yours, he wins. If you just have to see, have the dealer kill his hand first (touches them to the muck pile) and then turn them over. Good, aggressive, play. Hope the rungood holds.

27:00 if that were online poker, most people would’ve claimed that’s proof of online poker being rigged 😂 You know your opponent was sweating bullets till the river
My personal philosophy is when someone is on tilt to get them tilted even more. That way, they'll call every bet you make. When you have the nuts, they think you're full of it. You'll end up taking huge pots off of them.
I’m the villain of this vlog. I raised TT strictly against your Ax hands without a J. Not optimal or correct. But felt right, I didn’t wanna see a turn. Calling clock is a low blow, sorry about that.
Here in Iowa , on a straddled pot you would start with $12-20, any less and the whole table calls. Unstraddled pots are usually $8-$15 pre flop depending on positioning.
At the time this was filmed moving up in levels would have likely meant playing 2/5 at TCH Dallas which is a match stack game with some table playing as big as T/20.
Imagine commenting this, completely ignoring the dozens of videos he has in this establishment, in which he tips hundreds and hundreds of dollars to the dealers that he sees regularly.
As a poker dealer myself, I can say that we’re pretty happy and content getting 5 dollars a hand. If you get a table thats tipping 5 dollars a hand, thats basically the nuts, especially if you can pump out 20-25 plus hands in your down. Thats 100 an hour. Do the math and you’ll do better too
You tip all the time every time even on days that you go home with nothing or go home in the negative so whether you're making money or not they're always making money any tip is a reasonable tip because no matter what the dealer's are making money the players aren't
How much is he suppose to tip when he loses a big pot to a bad run out? What if he wins a big pot and the dealer is bad? Your argument is based off assumptions and no thought. Do you have any idea what a pro player would pay in tips over a year if they tipped they way you suggest? Pretty unthoughtful comment bud.
To a novice poker player(like the guy that commented negatively on ur play) the AJo hero call might seem like a terrible call but if you analyze the situation and have been on the table with the opponent for a while your call is the only option n if you happen to have totally gotten a bad read then you still left yourself at worst a gut shot, possibly a gut shot n an over to the board if he shows top pair, and at best you read the guys soul n are ahead. Which you were. I feel like he was just on mega tilt from being soul read more than likely at his home card room in front of his buddies n the you tube world cuz soul reads always make the vlog. Great job analyzing the hand and having the stones to make the hero call. Keep up the hard work n one day you will be making calls like this amongst the elite of the poker world.👍👍🫡
The problem with hero calls at 1/2 is that slow plays are way more common than bluffs. Change my mind
definitely depends on the opponent

Yes it’s normal and it’s the only way the dealers usually make money
Why was there 2 river cards?
Final two players agree to "run it twice". So two outcomes with half the pot paying to each board. Reduces variance and eases bad beats.
