      We are looking to do some "BP with a Conference Pro" videos in the next few months. We'd love to schedule a time that we could meet up with you and shoot some footage. Would love to see it all happen live!

      EW, you’re probably my favorite pro softball player. I have 2 Pass Em Out Gennys as my gamers. I’d love to see you guys do an interview or live BP!

    Female softball player checking in! 😊 I love your channel. Just discovered it today and the content is great. I hope I will catch EW’s swing live at T4T this year 🎉

    One of the best current conference players out there and that backside swing is pure gold!

    I see some requests for swing breakdowns, I would love to see you do one one on Marc Wik. It sounds like you guys are around the Bay Area and I think he is as well

      We would live to have Wik on sometime! We'll see if we can work that out. Stay tuned!

    As a right handed hitter I've had to reposition my back foot to go to right field. Watching EV do it is impressive. I really need to work on it. Any drills you guys recommend? I have a tee and batting net set up in my garage I'll probably hit off like 10-20 times to get that type of motion down so my back foot always stays planted regardless of wherever I'm placing the ball

      You are definitely in the right track. Tee work is what helped me learn the backside swing. Check out our tee work video we did a while back for some pointers on how to practice the oppo swing.

    Thoughts on the studies showing no relationship between head movement and hitter skill? I feel like this swing is actually showing a lot of head movement, and you say it's an example of how important it is to keep the head still, but it looks to me more like evidence that it might not be important.
    Also, the explosion in the plant leg is absolutely insane! Wish I had half that power!

      Thanks for watching Kaitlin! I am sure these conversations are taking place all over. Many times they are held in the bleachers on a cold San Francisco evening while bundled up in three blankets over a bottle of wine. I even heard a suggestion that a podcast may be necessary! I have question is there any drills for someone that swings early I’m allways a head of the ball I want to be able to sit back but I just can’t get my self to do it

    • @LeagueNightSoftball
      @LeagueNightSoftball  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Great question. For me, practicing off of the tee helped a lot. You can set the tee up in a bunch of different positions (depending on what you are working on) and it will build that muscle memory of where you want to hit the ball. The more you practice hitting the ball from your preferred spot, the easier it is it hit when its live pitching. Once you feel good about hitting your spot from the tee, take that new knowledge to live BP and eventually the game. Lots of reps will always help!
      Here's a link to our Tee Work video. Hope that helps!

      @@LeagueNightSoftball great advice. I would often place the tee on the back of the plate and try to rip line drives down the opposite foul line.

      Move forward in box is a short term fix. You are allowed to have front foot out in front of the box.

      Have anther question does it matter of the oz of bat that you swing like me I swing a 27.5 oz bat I feel like I might need to drop oz size

    I thought when you said “back side boogie” I thought you were talking about the amount of junk E.W. had in the trunk. Also not really contributory to the swing as much but I’m glad I’m not the only one that doesn’t like the pyramid grips on the gennys!

    • @LeagueNightSoftball
      @LeagueNightSoftball  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haha! That's fair. We were referring to hitting to the opposite field. Junk in the trunk is always helpful to creating power at the plate though. We don't lobe the pyramid grips either. I would much rather use a grip n rip.

    Can you explain how to calculate RP7?

    • @LeagueNightSoftball
      @LeagueNightSoftball  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We have been trying to find the formula but can't find a definitive answer. If I were to guess, it's probably something like the standard Run Created formula multiplied by 10. However, this is just an educated guess. Don't take my word for it. If you find the official formula somewhere please share with us!

    Can you do one on a shorter players swing? Not naming names haha.

    • @LeagueNightSoftball
      @LeagueNightSoftball  ปีที่แล้ว

      Short or tall all of the mechanics have to work the same way. It's more about knowing your abilities and playing to your strengths. That being said we'll keep an eye out for shorter players with a crazy good swing!

    • @vincebrown9046
      @vincebrown9046 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@LeagueNightSoftball yea the basics definitely won't be extremely different but I'm curious to see if there is. The only 2 I can think of is like Mac Rio (I'm not sure how tall he is?) Or maybe Reyna?
