  • At long last, we finally got ahold of a Pure Hellfire, Pure's first bat in the ASA/USA space. After hearing all of the rumors, we put it up against the best (Monsta) to see how it fared. Give it a watch to see how Pure performs against the top of the line ASA/USA bats.
    Thanks to Big Ben BP and 608 Bat Reviews for sharing the Hellfire w/ us, and Josh Stubbs for being a killer rep for the Pure brand. Below are links to their reviews and keep an eye out for Fat Guy BPs review coming soon!

    Great breakdown fellas! We were lucky enough to get our hands on a Hellfire. Bat smokes, even hits clincher balls hard!

    Great job fellas! I totally agree with the Hellfire assessment. My biggest issue is that it's "too forgiving" I can't ever tell if I smoked the ball or missed it until I watch the ball. But either bat is a great choice for anyone wanting a top-tier option. Can't wait for more!

    • @LeagueNightSoftball
      @LeagueNightSoftball  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      "Too forgiving" is probably the best description I've heard. Exactly right. Really hard to tell how far the ball is going to go when you feel it off the bat.

  • @batbossbp8091
    @batbossbp8091 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I’d say monsta is still the top dog after swinging both myself the pure didn’t have as forgiving of a barrel but definitely preformed when you caught sweet spot, great video as always!!

    • @LeagueNightSoftball
      @LeagueNightSoftball  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Interesting! We actually felt like the Pure had a MORE forgiving barrel. Either way, I think we all came to the same conclusion.

      @@LeagueNightSoftball I think it’s my propensity to not like long barrel bats that’s why I got the sidewinder hoping the short barrel and 25.5 weight would fit my swing better I’m hoping it gives my fiend or sinister some competition

    Jealous yall are getting to hit atm. We hit 70 last weekend and was able to get about 200 in. I don't play Asa but am always looking to add to my arsenal. I've had my eyes on the hellfire but haven't been able to lock one in. Thankfully tourneys don't still to March here. Love the videos guys

      Hey Josh, thanks for the comment. We are definitely lucky we can play mostly year round out here in California, but finding a field w/ fences is what we struggle with! Definitely recommend checking out Pure if you don’t have an ASA bat and we might be able to connect you to a rep that can assist with getting one in your hands! March is right around the corner!

    Awesome video… now see this they perform very well but don’t you think the weighting was a factor. 26.5 vs a 25
    I think it would be a better match vs a blacksheep m5

    • @LeagueNightSoftball
      @LeagueNightSoftball  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We also swung a 26oz NAGAAA (Fallout) and a 27oz Fallout and the distances/exit velos were consistent. Should mitigate the slight weight differences. Biggest difference IMO was the feel off the barrel. If you can get over that, or aren't familiar with the barrel feel of a Monsta, I would definitely recommend a Pure

    • @blacksheepsoftball
      @blacksheepsoftball ปีที่แล้ว

      Don’t think so, all of the monstas test at the max velocity at their respective weights, the weighting would be a bigger factor between bats made from the same company

  • @matthewbarry2967
    @matthewbarry2967 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    That extra distance with the lower exit velocity is from you guys spinning it

    • @LeagueNightSoftball
      @LeagueNightSoftball  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We assume this as well. However, we were comparing those swings to swings from just about a month ago. I don't think we've gained THAT much spin in that sort of time but, how knows? We were happy with the results either way!

    At the end of the day Hellfire hitting further so if one doesn't care about the feel or sound it makes .....then it's a no brainer to game the hellfire over Monsta? Or is my logic off ? Personally I just try to game the bat that hits further and it having a bigger sweet spot is an added bonus

    • @LeagueNightSoftball
      @LeagueNightSoftball  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That's the thing it doesn't really go farther. It's pretty much the same as the M5 Monsta. Can't really make a wrong choice between the two.

    How far was "down the hill"? I was just imagining you guys having to trek down a mountain to retrieve your homeruns

    • @LeagueNightSoftball
      @LeagueNightSoftball  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If any of the balls crested the ridge and went down the hill it was about a 100'+ hill down to the storage warehouses below! Luckily, the grass was long enough on the ridge it kept them from falling down!
