My least favourite. Shouldn't need so much weight up front to make it balance.
Auto-launch with 2 handed overhead throw works best on this model IMHO. You can also put a smaller, lighter motor outback, say a 2308 1750kv or similar with a 7x5/6 prop on 4S. That way you don't need a house brick up front to make CG. Although then, your flight times are reduced, but being lighter, it glides better. Horses for courses I suppose.
Hmmm maybe. If anything I think it needs something designed into it so you can get a better grip and I shouldn't have to change the motor. I review things as they come stock in the box. Sorry but this is one of the worst wings I've flown. These days it shouldn't be designed to need a big action camera to balance it correctly.
@EssentialRC Well, it's not no one I personally own. A friend has one with the smaller motor I mentioned. BUT, its very popular amongst the FPV flyers. Able to carry a big battery, giving long flight times and fly big distances. However, most will buy the airframe only, put a better quality motor, servos & ESC in it, laminate and balsa elevons are popular mods.
You looked like another a-typical REFLEX pilot, who hardly ever flies with iNav.
That seemed like 'almost' stock settings (they calibrate most of it for you - but they've tuned it for the servos to be top-mounted).

Is it laterally balanced? That may cause some take off problems.

I own 2 ar wing pro's and a dart xl enhanced version, the xl is a Cadillac and the ar is a Volkswagen. Worst thing with the ar if you turn going alittle to slow it will stall, I've tried many times to stall the zoid dart but hasn't yet. Just my 2 cents.

Your footage shows just why you need an action camera up front. You need something with good stabilisation. In this case a GoPro.
Yeah...I'm not a fan of wings that are designed for that. Digital FPV footage is good enough. Some of these designs don't even allow you to put in a bigger lipo to help you get CG.
@@EssentialRC I like the way it flys but there’s a lot of downsides like as you say the weight needed in the battery to hit cg. I use my Ar wing with a GoPro and it works well. Unless it’s nose heavy then launching can be a problem another downside because of the weight. Very good flyer though.👍
how many pins are in the wing connectors on this version? Did they increase the pin count?
my SM esc just keeps on beeping . sounds like a hospital heartmonitor , and my motor wont start. Do I have a bad esc?
So you're ESC isn't arming. Is it definitely plugged into correct receiver channel? Try lowering the throttle trim. Unlikely but is throttle channel reversed?
Wrong throwing technique, as with the original AR wing pro two hands overhead with autolaunch and they take off a breeze every single time.
I stopped watching when you mounted your servo arms and linkage underneath. I was shocked when I saw you have nearly 800k subscribers, so you must be doing something right.
Nice to have a wing that is clean surface on top. Just trying something different
