Awesome. Dont mind the haters. I had a 14 ft enclosed trailer, big planes, always at the field, saw jets, seen a guy flying under a broom on plastic chairs, saw a six pack dropped from a plane, never saw that skill and guts with that big a plane. Bravo

maybe people who have some knowledge found out that a 500 cccm engine should produce 100 kg of thrust and make this sad aerobatics with hardly any power to get her through the loops a sign, that this wrongly scaled randomly designed derivate of a AR5 yak 54 should have better characteristics….hmmm? the thrist should make her a rocket….but they fight as if she flew on a 150 cccm engine! chekc the data and compare it with engines on sale, thrust data , airplane weight and so on….and get some drawings fro yaks, then you see the discrepancies…itls a pretty and bug model they sell, but the data for enthusiasts does not fit togeheter! and i analized yaks! you can keep the typies….
I wanted to compliment you on your shots. They’re always very still. Very little shaking. Are you using some type of gimbal when you shoot your video? If so, what type of gimbal are you using?
@@captinyak12 wrong! 60% is around 4,8 m wingspan….isn.t it…another vid told itls a 50+% version…but it,s a nice bird! sadly nobody gives the HP of the 550 cc radial!
He uses a converted old school bus. Impressive aircraft and superb pilot skills - the trouble is he makes it look so easy it is a bit, dare I say it, boring lol I wish I could fly as well as that
i am curious why the wingspan was possibly increased to AR6 ! does not look like an adtual Yak 54/55…maybe it,s the camera….but ehy dies a 500 cc, engine fight with mere 30 kilos crossweight! ? it should go up like a rocket with 60 kg thrust! what is the issue…? your data does not really fit togehter,,,,200cc, should be more than enough for what you fly here,,,
tahtbthing never has 500 ccm under that cowling….she flies as she is underpowered and hardly getting through the loops…as itls 30 kilos…maybe they used a 160 ccm or less for this video! Ulm radials at 260 cccm ( half of the 500+) have enough power to get this performance…something seems off…sorry to tell…just big akd loud is not enoigh
I wish he flew it more scale like with longer up and down lines. Try to imitate a real Yaks control movements. It dosent have the power of a real 3d machine so why take those kind of chances down low.
Scale is WAAAAAAY OFF! Fuselage shape is terribly wrong and that landing gear is too short!! Turtle deck is all wrong too! If I was paying that much I'd want it right!

Amazing plane and pilot!
It’s like watching a full scale plane!
I had a smile on my face the whole time ;-) Just Awesome!
Nice flying, Steve!
Thanks, Dom, really enjoyed that one 👍
Glad to hear it
always loved the look of a Yak
Excellent flight operation technology !👍🏼
Yes indeed!
Incredible. Fantastic aircraft, and top shelf aerobatics. Thanks for sharing.
My pleasure!
Fantastic Thankyou .awesome ❤❤❤
Most welcome 😊
I didnt expect the pilot to fly like that right from take off, Impressive and confident flying wow cool plane
really good pilot
Love the yak. Nice flight. Starting it looked a bit a sketchy. I wouldn’t want to start it without another holding it back. 😅
Those stalls or whatever it's called would have had tense for sure nice work 👍😁

Well said !
The only thing missing on that huge plane is Electric Start. Those Wheels and Landing Struts look scale puny.

I'm not using a smartphone on a gimbal, I'm using a decent camcorder. Panasonic HC-X2
Excellent camera work as well!
Thank you very much!
Lots of power in that small engine
does that thing spit out some 28 hp? wth? you could fly that as a UL in UK! sub 70 airplane, if the spar is strong enough! crazy!
He has Hotwheels on it
That is epic! What scale is that?
60 percent.

Pilot rc website list it at 60 percent i believe but you are correct steve carr does list it at 55 percent ,still pretty big and epic😊
Sick!!! So sick!!
How does one transport that monster? The logistics must be crazy! Specs? Wingspan? Weight? Scale? Engine size?

Woah I could hitch a ride in that 🤣🤣
How much does something like that cost?!
Wow- looks like it’s worth a couple hundred bucks
Should show it off at an airshow😂
Is that a BNF? 😊

wow that is a plan, a child could fit into it..

Fly it like a real plane, stop bipping/Goosing the throttle
Такие самолета строят трусы. Сделай чуть больше и летай сам, но нет. Они боятся :)

He's flown it over several seasons so he knows what it can do. He's not trying to fly scale, he's flying to entertain the crowd
