    Note: You do not need to put bags over the exhaust tips. I only did this because mine are inverted and hold water between the tip and muffler and I didn’t have time to ride the bike immediately after to heat up the pipes and get all the water out.

    A matte finish is way easier to maintain than a shiny chrome show pony. No need to wash that beautiful springfield darkhorse. A dry rub down with a couple of towels will suffice. Awesome cheers 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🇳🇿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

    I’ve washed my bike for many many years . And use a leaf blower as well . But never have I put baggies on my mufflers. Nice 👍 motorcycle .

      Haha I typically do not either. In this case I only did it cause I didn’t have time to ride it and get all the water out. Unfortunately these tips mounted upside down pool water between the tip and the muffler so if doesn’t drain. And since I didn’t have time to heat it up after I just figured I’d put bags over the tips lol

    Just my personal experience but, putting the bike up onto a motorcycle/ATV lift and removing the saddlebags makes it a lot easier to get to the rear tire & wheel, the inner portions of the saddlebags and easier to revolve around the bike for an easier, more thorough wash.

    • @leviedens5985
      @leviedens5985  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I imagine so. I actually bought one of those roller stand things for the rear wheel. Allows you to spin the rear wheel for easier access. But yeah a lift and removing the bags would be much easier.

    Nice video and edit. I like the timelapse through the busy parts. Do you find that the time to to wash and wipe on the matte protectant product is the same or shorter time frame of having to "wax" on a gloss finish? Also, nice looking bike. Love the Indian's! (that large white directional arrow on rear tire would bother me...lol)

      Man honestly I feel like it’s less time consuming to take care of matte than regular paint. Depends on how OCD you are to be honest

      I don’t have anything I noticed they looked strange on video I think it’s because I have a iPhone pro max with the three cameras threw something off. They just look like normal functioning led tail lights in real life

      1981bevo LOL I was fixing to ask the same thing! Looked cool... must be the frame rate of the camera vs the burn rate if the leds or something....

    Very educational, thanks a lot! I'm getting my 2020 next week, couple of questions.. Have you tried training the bags off? With the locking system, is it ok to do it? ... Second question... Are those ape hangers 16 or 12 in (stock)?... Thanks a lot!

    • @leviedens5985
      @leviedens5985  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes you can pull the bags off very easy. Locking system just unplugs. Yes the ape hangers are stock and are “12” but they actually measure closer to 10”. I just ordered a new set of bars from KST customs that I’ll do a video on soon.

      Have a 2021 sprfg DH and have to wash it weekly. Except I don't directly spray water to it, I just sponge soap and sponge water as I clean per section. Have you tried the CG matte sealant?

    Levi, have you ever used F11 Topcoat? Does the Chemical Guys system you used repel water and prevent bugs and dirt from sticking? I've used Bug Slide on my dark horse and it cleaned well, I'm just curious if other products repel water better.

    • @leviedens5985
      @leviedens5985  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have not used F11 the chemical guys doesn’t necessarily repel water like the F11 does on gloss paint. Not sure as I don’t have experience with it.

    You should always ride the bike and dry the brake discs naturally and operate the controls. Don't just park it after washing.

    • @leviedens5985
      @leviedens5985  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you are correct! It’s always a good idea to heat up the bike and ride it afterwards in order to keep water out of everything.

    Thank god I don’t feel the need to go through this much trouble I ride a 16 dyna low rider and it’s gets washed ones a year. And that’s when I park it for the winter... wind and rain take care of the rest of it..To each it’s own

    I’ve never seen a person use water on a motorcycle. Why ? Rust rust rust. But that’s just me.

    • @leviedens5985
      @leviedens5985  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well you should always drive the bike after the fact to heat it up and help remove water. And rust i imagine would be an issue in high humidity storage conditions. Not so much in a heated garage. But who knows I could be wrong. How quickly does your vehicle rust out?
