    I admit to being blown away as to the length and thickness of tiger fangs---deep penetration, killing bite! Its markings I'd say are a warning saying "I'm dangerous!"
    I read about a tiger that killed a man, and holding the victim in its jaws, leaped over a 6 foot wall with ease. That is stunning strength.

    India is also the only country with both the lion and tiger in its wild population... Its very much possible that they crossed paths with eachother at some point in time... And almost always the tiger would be the last one standing...

    • @dantheman4838
      @dantheman4838 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unlikely considering that lions live in prides. A lone tiger would never be stupid enough to challenge a lion pride over territory.

    • @UCHIHAMADARA-hx7eq
      @UCHIHAMADARA-hx7eq ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@dantheman4838 you seem to forget the fact that male lions at a certain age are chased from the pride by their own fathers as to reduce competition, and these nomad males wander across the lands to either establish or take over another pride by fighting with those males... So its very much likely that a nomad male lion in search of a pride came across and wandered into a tiger's territory and ended up in a death match with a tiger. And India is the only place on the planet where this destined battle could have occurred naturally without any human intervention.

    • @sugatadebnath5290
      @sugatadebnath5290 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are very little chances of that because Lions and Tigers are naturally found in two opposite parts of India... Tigers are found from the northern belt of India stretching to the eastern and north-eastern part... While lions are generally found in in the north-western to the western part of the country... Other than zoos it's very hard for them to cross path... However leopard are scattered around the country and may have crossed path with both of them...

    • @UCHIHAMADARA-hx7eq
      @UCHIHAMADARA-hx7eq ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sugatadebnath5290 thats just whats in today's day and age... Tigers were spread across the subcontinent long back... There are still a small population residing in the Southern part of the country especially in the ghat areas even today... and just like the tigers the lions population was also pushed to dwindle by excessive hunting practices... So essentially there's a fat chance that the two cats meet eachother during their thriving periods.

      Actually, there are twelve subspecies of tiger, the †Caspian Tiger (Uncia tigris virgata), the Bengal Tiger (Uncia tigris tigris), the Siberian Tiger (Uncia tigris altaica), the †Wanhsien Tiger (Uncia tigris acutidens), the South China Tiger (Uncia tigris amoyensis), the Indochinese Tiger (Uncia tigris corbetti), the Malayan Tiger (Uncia tigris jacksoni), the †Ngandong Tiger (Uncia tigris soloensis), the Sumatran Tiger (Uncia tigris sumatrae), the †Javan Tiger (Uncia tigris sondaica), the †Trinil Tiger (Uncia tigris trinilensis), and the †Bali Tiger (Uncia tigris balica), the mainland tigers are a paraphyletic group because the malayan tiger is more closely related to the five sunda island subspecies than it is to the other mainland subspecies, the †Caspian Tiger (Uncia tigris virgata) is the most basal known tiger subspecies, then followed by the Bengal Tiger (Uncia tigris tigris), with the most recent split being between two clades, the North Asian Uncia tigris altaica group that contains the Siberian Tiger (Uncia tigris altaica), the †Wanhsien Tiger (Uncia tigris acutidens), and the South China Tiger (Uncia tigris amoyensis) and the southeast asian Uncia tigris sondaica group that contains the Indochinese Tiger (Uncia tigris corbetti), the Malayan Tiger (Uncia tigris jacksoni), the †Ngandong Tiger (Uncia tigris soloensis), the Sumatran Tiger (Uncia tigris sumatrae), the †Javan Tiger (Uncia tigris sondaica), the †Trinil Tiger (Uncia tigris trinilensis), and the †Bali Tiger (Uncia tigris balica), this classification is based on both morphology and geography and those two things alone.

    There are only six extant subspecies of Tiger (Uncia tigris), the Bengal Tiger (Uncia tigris tigris), the Siberian Tiger (Uncia tigris altaica), the Chinese Tiger (Uncia tigris amoyensis), the Indochinese Tiger (Uncia tigris corbetti), the Malayan Tiger (Uncia tigris jacksoni), and the Sumatran Tiger (Uncia tigris sumatrae), in addition to extinct subspecies like the recently extinct †Caspian Tiger (Uncia tigris virgata), †Javan Tiger (Uncia tigris sondaica), and †Bali Tiger (Uncia tigris balica) and paleosubspecies like the †Wanhsien Tiger (Uncia tigris acutidens), the †Ngandong Tiger (Uncia tigris soloensis), and the †Trinil Tiger (Uncia tigris trinilensis), the mainland populations are treated as different subspecies because mainland tigers are a paraphyletic group as the indoesian tiger subspecies are all descended from mainland ancestors, the Siberian Tiger (Uncia tigris altaica) is the largest living subspecies of tiger and the only big cat to live in the North Pole, where it competes with other polar carnivorans like the White Wolf (Canis albus), the Arctic Fox (Alopex lagopus), the Polar Bear (Ursus maritimus), the Stoat (Mustela erminea), the Least Weasel (Mustela nivalis), the Wolverine (Gulo gulo), the Sable or Siberian Marten (Martes zibellina), and the Eurasian Lynx (Lynx lynx), as well as preying on polar ungulates like the Caribou (Rangifer tarandus) and the Muskox (Ovibos moschatus), it can also prey on pinnipeds like arctic seals, the northern fur seal, the steller's sea lion, and the walrus.

      @Sims 3 Forever Dude, actually, the †Cave Lion (Uncia spelaea), †Tibetan Jaguar (Uncia blytheae), Snow Leopard (Uncia uncia), †East Asian Lion (Uncia youngi), †Longdan Tiger (Uncia zdanskyi), †Chinese Jaguar (Uncia palaeosinensis), Tiger (Uncia tigris), †American Lion (Jaguarius atrox), †Yucatan Leopard (Jaguarius balamoides), and Jaguar (Jaguarius onca) are all more closely related to Clouded Leopards (genus Neofelis) than any of them are to either the Leopard (Panthera pardus), the †European Jaguar (Panthera gombaszoegensis), the Lion (Panthera leo), or the †African Jaguar (Panthera shawi), so therefore they belong to two separate genera.

    We dealt with them in Vietnam. My medical doc was a medic in DaNang. He saw a Marine who was jumped by a female tiger on a trail. Half his face was ripped off in one swipe. It’s felt he was dead before he hit the ground. His buddies opened up on the tigress with their M16s. She too was likely dead before he hit the ground. The tigers frightened our troops. NVA and VC killed them to leave chunks of them in their trails. They thought it spooked American tracking dogs. I don’t know. They were big mutha Belgian Shepherds.

The lion grows up in a social world where he is constantly wrestling around and fighting with other cubs. His ability to reproduce and have offspring is dependent on his ability to head a pride or family. If he can’t beat challengers he will lose his pride: his mates. His young offspring will be killed.
