The greatest band of Lion brothers that ever existed are the Mapogo brothers. Legendary 6 Male Lions from the South African region, their reign was from 2005 through 2012. They lived a life of war and survival for years, they conquered a massive area never before seen. Killing many rivals along the way and taking control of nearly a dozen prides of Females. These guys are truly Legendary.

    • @vladiator8120

@GO-wb1gf Quite the contrary, they were efficient sires. They lost 5 Sub Adult sons from the Sand River pride due to getting shot by the warden's rifles. The lost another separate batch of cubs when the Mother died. Then you have a whole other batch of cubs from a different pride that died because of the heavy floods within the Sabi Sands. Then, when one of the brothers returned to the Western side of their territory ended up killing some cubs due to him not recognizing them from being away for 2 years. He would kill the cubs when the other Mapogos weren't around. These incidents are out of their control. I would say they had terrible luck realistically. All in all 9 of their offspring made it to adulthood, 2 prides of Females directly from 7 of their daughters are thriving today.

We know from the Lion, they lived in Greece and former Yugoslavia, also Tigers were found in Turkey. So the Nemean Lion could have been a Liger. There are also things that show you like Gobleki Tepe and surrounding monuments that are carbon dated to be from earliest to oldest 7/8 thousand years to 11-12 thousand years. Archaeologists think it was more of a settlement than a place of worship based on the sheer size of it all. But animals being carved into pillars, pillars that are perfectly placed with mathematics and astrology. They had intimate knowledge of the constellations. These aren't done by hunter gatherers, they are done by civilised people. In order to learn maths, astrology, engineering and logistics you first need to have a steady food source. Only once you stop "surviving" can you turn your hands to anything else, the stopping of survival coincides with civilisations. But bare in mind, we had the younger dryas 12/13 thousand years ago so a lot is still lost.

Lol, Nope. They went extinct due to several factors including the disappearance of large prey species in their habitats, climatic upheaval, and human activities. If the African continent had suffered the same catastrophic loss of Megafauna as other continents during the Late Pleistocene extinction, African lions would have gone extinct long ago. Take Madagascar for example, the larger lemurs and elephant birds went extinct due to human overhunting, and the big carnivores (Giant Fossa and the Voay went extinct immediately after)
Lions and Tigers are too big and powerful and not as easily adaptable as leopards. They would die out if big prey became absent.
