Hello quick question if you could help me out that’d be awesome what is that pink tab that holds the rod mine has broken and I have no idea what it’s called or where to get one
If I'm wanting to replace the chrome handle with a matte black handle do I need to go through this whole process? And if I do, how simple is it to remove the plastic exterior cover to replace it with a new one? Not sure if I"m using correct lingo so forgive me. I hate the chrome handles on my truck and would like to make them a matte black to match the rest of the upgrades I've made. Thank you!
I noticed it been at least a year since you posted this comment, but I have and 07, which basically has the same stuff at that one. To me it looks and sounds a lot more complicated than it is. I just had the handle off of mine in like 10-15 minutes, to me the worst part is twisting the handle to get the rod out of it🤷♂️

No joke just seeing this video makes me want to not upgrade my truck.

too much work to paint handle. I'll tape off and spray.
