Hey, just came across this vid. Had to pause at 1:55. I would strongly urge you to only load the chamber from the mag. The Geometry of the feed ramp, the magazine follower, and the extractor, are designed to allow the rim of the cartridge, to slide under the claw of the extractor. But when you load the chamber directly by hand, the extractor will slam into the rim. Eventually the practice will lead to a premature failure of the extractor.
Good video but one thing you should never load a round into the chamber without it being in a magazine you'll break your extractor. In not dissing you or anything I'm just telling you
I do understand and 90% of the time I use the mag to strip a round off the top and then top off if I want the extra round. With single stack guns I always Carry plus one. With double stacks I usually don't Iam good with just 12-15rds.
Smith had zero click/no bangs. And Smith also was firing 2 more rounds per mags. How many percent more rounds is that? I don’t see any realistic dofference
I have done this test three times and I have had the m&p win once and the Glock twice if I ran it a third time the m&p might win the are both pretty equal reliability wise.
Glad I wasn’t the only person that noticed that... 🧐😁 I have to say this, I’m a glock fan 100%..! But I have the s&w shield .40 also lol my thought process buying the shield was 🤔 damn for the price, worst case scenario it could be a tackle box gun or just my beat beat🤣..! But I have to say it actually turned out to be a damn good little gun as far as functioning goes. I’ve put roughly 5-700 rounds through it in the past few months, both fmj & hp, and i haven’t had the first failure/issue yet.! But with that being said, is it just ME or is the SHIELD the TYPE OF UUUGGLY ONLY A MOM COULD LOVE, 😂🤣 🗣cause DAAAMN ITS UGLY..!
Nice vid, one suggestion, capture the whole test in one steady view of yourself and the table as close as possible, no need to focus on your head so much, thats not the focus here.
I live in California so a 43x mos was out of the question so I went with the shield basically cause I had to but it’s really grown on me and this video definitely gave me more confidence with my purchase

It would be more realistic for the test in sand and dirt be done with the gun bone dry. If the gun is wet and you drop it in sand/dirt it creates an unrealistic scenario, unless your in a gunfight while its raining and drop it, its just not an accurate real world test, unless again youre in a gunfight in arizona during monsoon season. I love watching torture tests, and it gives you peace of mind, but tests like this do not represent a realistic scenario for 99.99% of people who carry.

A regular 43 with a shield arms z9 is a solid alternative if you want something thinner

I keep my gun stock clean and oiled. Guns aren’t meant to function while dirty and it wears the parts.
