I've never known how to talk about my disability issues or what I should say about any of this. Some of this is very personal to me, so I appreciate the respect and kindness we can share on this channel. I appreciate all of you and your kindness. Channel memberships on this channel are now active. I will make a video in the near future explaining all the tiers, but I made them as self-explanatory as I could think to. That said, I'm not always the brightest bulb so I might have missed something. Whether you want to support through memberships or just continue to view, we appreciate you very much. This is kind of why I've taken the hiatus that I have I thought I'd love to be a content creator but so much is wrong with this platform. The unfair treatment of content creators based on views and sub count, the lack of videos actually being shown to bots, copyright abuse to stop people from criticizing certain topics. But worst still is that at the twitch of the algorithm or some change at hq your content is suddenly unsuitable for the platform they can make money yet you cant. Dont know if I even want to come back I'd say as difficult as it may be what TH-cam needs most of all is true competition.
It is just so sad how little recognition this channel gets. It’s easily one of the more diverse channels I’ve found in terms of covering video game/movie related news. You two put in so much work thinking of diverse topics, and editing together coherent ideas that make me think more about the future of a franchise I love. I may not be able to support the channel through monetary donations or memberships, but by god I will do whatever I can to push for your videos to be watched by people
This means a lot to me, you don’t have to give any money if you can’t but you helping out by watching the videos and talking about it with people helps more than you know!!
I never knew the disability thing at all. I guess sometimes when it's not visible you just don't think about it but this is making a lot of sense and I'm really sorry to hear all of this.
This was very important to get out there imo because it's easy for a lot of people to just make assumptions on anything without knowing what's going on.

This does suck that TH-cam is still screw people over with their channels that start to get annoyed I definitely get it and still will support you anyway I can understand the whole disability thing with myself having autism and have a hard time find and doing jobs after high school graduation

I'm actually glad you made this video because I've been struggling for a long time with trying to get to a better place myself as a disabled person (my main diagnosis is really severe Borderline Personality) and the stigma is so high that it's really risky and tough to talk about it; you know that you're human and you sometimes need help to get out of situations (even Batman needs help sometimes) but you're told you can't or you're weak and that you're weak for caring at all about yourself or others and it's like you're trapped because of this culture of not caring because people aren't willing to confront being human. I wouldn't have risked a comment like this unless I knew it was going to help someone else feel less alone like your video did for me
I don't know if I'm physically in a position to be able to help much financially right now; I took in a homeless former friend a few months ago and I got screwed over financially, and it's really set back my plans to move from the outskirts of Green Bay WI to a bigger city in a different state where I can access public transportation (I'm unable to safely drive) and access to proper medical care so I can get better. It's really difficult to save up because I'm managing about $900 a month but I'm living alone without parents and it's pretty much paycheck-to-paycheck, but if I can somehow get to a city of about 500,000 or more that should have the infrastructure I need (thinking Seattle or Boston but could be somewhere else I guess) I can start helping out more monetarily with the channel since I'll at least be able to start job hopping with buses and stuff. The one silver lining of me not having been able to stay in school after my first year is that at least I'm not in debt anymore lol (I found out I'm the same age as you guys)
I don't even have a good idea of what I enjoy doing in a vacuum, but I like to do good when it feels right and I would like to continue helping the channel with the time that I have even if I'm not sure I should become a member in my current financial state whether I can help by continuning to clean up the comments and providing support here or if there's anything else I can do. I want to do something meaningful with my time, and I think as long as my bank account is safe that can be helping you two out since I'm pretty much stuck at home wanting to make some sort of actual difference in the world even if it's just helping one or two people
Save your money, the thought is what matters. You seem extremely kind and I hope you’re able to save up to move soon! Jill’s been to Boston a few times and it’s a nice place during the day and there’s plenty of transportation. (It’s actually a nightmare to drive normally in haha) we are both rooting for you and Jill thinks you’re sweet and would love to talk to you sometime on discord or Instagram!

The fact that you’re dealing with constant chronic pain pain all over your body and still able to be positive and humble makes you a badass in my book.
As someone who was wildy misunderstood in history, I have a lot if empathy for feeling like the whole workd is against you. Its a terrible feeling, but Argentina is good this time of year? It helped me out a lot.
You two deserve much better and more recognition. I agree about the lack of empathy especially on the internet. I know that there have always been a**holes on the internet, but it´s like 10x worse than it was. There will always be people who are a**holes just for the sake of it. But I´m glad that there are people like you to counter them. Even though I don´t know you two personally I know you are good folk, and I truly wish the best for you and your families. I wish there was a way I could interact with you guys more even if it´s just chatting, because honestly you guys would make cool friends to have.

So I’ll get up, I’ll walk as my vision is darkening and I fall, but when my vision comes back I don’t remember what just happened. I really fucked up my hip for a good like 6 months and I’m 20
Personality over content is what I look for. I recently found your channels and my god you two are just regular people it's refreshing to see. I’m sorry that you guys felt like you had to withhold all this as if people weren’t going to be understanding or at least be kind. The internet can suck sometimes, but things oughta get better soon with so many creators speaking out on a daily basis, stay strong and best of luck with everythjng guys. As someone with mental issues, and has family with mental issues that makes it hard to sustain a job, I really feel for you guys. I’m a minor and am being screwed out of getting a job or license cus nobody will help me get a birth certificate or social security card, so I can’t really give anything but I’ll like the video to help spread the message :) I love your channel, stay strong, you’re some of the only good caring people on this platform, and I respect those who open up about their struggles, especially in this heartless world

I have shared your videos to people a few times, and I don't know if this means much but I do get notifications for the channel with every upload, so you pop up in my TH-cam feed, although I know this has been an issue for some people.

I just discovered this channel in a rare instance of YT recommending something genuinely good to me, but I feel all of this. YT is the most anti-creator platform in existence (and has been for a while), and the irony of that statement isn't lost on me. They make it next to impossible to grow or maintain good channel health, even when you're firing on all cylinders and pumping out consistent quality content.
But you guys definitely deserve more views and you have my support as a new fan.

Hey Jay and Jill I appreciate you guys sharing and being transparent. I always appreciate and enjoy your videos. Also love how you articulated TH-cam as a career because it’s SO true many people can’t do “normal” jobs do to many/differing ailments/mental issues/disabilities. Me myself I’ve been having a desert experience trying to get my health back. Cuz I can’t even work right now. But once this gets better (been working on it and am atleast on correct path now) all that to say I’ll join the patreon/channel member 👍. I can’t put it into words but literally how you guys taker about your physical/mental problems and setbacks was extremely relatable and I feel ya. It's sad how you don't get the recognition you deserve Jay and your wife work so hard for so long and pay shit in the end. The way TH-camrs are being treated little none respect.
I recently just discovered your channel through your Goldeneye content and I was immediately hooked. You guys are awesome and it sucks to hear you guys are going through this whole ordeal I know times been tough a lot thanks to this trash presidency. I can relate as a the man of the house and a single income household with two babies it’s rough. I work 50-60 hours a week doing a job I don’t really enjoy but what I do love is art and making board games so on my little pockets of me time I try to put into those projects.
I guess if I can give any kind of advice here would be to just get a part time job somewhere that would allow you in your condition to work so you can keep the lights on and maybe have a little extra for yourselves in the meantime until you think you’ll be okay to go back into TH-cam full time again. Personally I would never recommend anyone go full time TH-cam and only do it as a sort of hobby you know unless you go Mr.Beast big or something.

I’ve wondered if I have fibromyalgia myself. I also have diabetic neuropathy kinda bad in my feet and a part of my legs. I get a ton of random pains in my head and my chest area and neck. Tbh I don’t know everything I have atm. Also have bad anxiety since around 2007/8, and they were kind enough to take the 1 pill that helped away from me a year or so ago thanks to an epidemic of pill junkies. I’ve had more head pain and hand/finger tremors than ever, ever since.
Geez I'm really sorry to hear this. Even when typing this, I have a lot of pain. It's why I use voice to text a lot of the time. I know that there's no easy solution, but something I personally found helpful was getting a Doctor to order me a referral to see a Rheumatologist. I also found a lot of doctors weren't listening to me, so I kept having to go to different ones till I found one who did. I hope you're able to find a doctor who can help you more.
I'm probably not the first one to suggest this, but idk maybe you can give us a list of videos with the most ads so that we know what to put on during our bathroom brakes"? (Or is the newest one always the best pick? I don't really know how this TH-cam thing works)

Should we extend empathy to all types of individuals? Or only those we deem “worthy of our empathy” or only those we can relate with? I believe that if you genuinely want other people to care about your problems and what you’re going through, it would be extremely hypocritical to disregard or mock the hardships of others, even if they say or do things you might not agree with. Because whether you realize it or not, every single one of us is a human being with feelings, thoughts and dreams - even the human beings who have hurt you.

15:56 You shouldnt be worried about talking about your income compared to the hours you put in. Sure there’s always someone worse off but that hours to income stat is really not good and barely liveable
That really sucks man. I do have a reccomendation, and take my opinion with a grain of salt because I really don't know much about TH-cam, but I think you should go back to Arkham content. Now I want you to make the content you want to for sure, but I will explain my reasoning.
I have seen a few TH-cam channels get big with Arkham content, and when they eventually strayed off into other content they lost views. In my own experience, when I post Arkham videos, they do much better than other videos. And there is a very large and active community of Arkham and Batman fans out there.
I don't want you to feel pressured into making any certain content but it might be something you want to try out and see if it makes a difference. I wish you the best of luck on youtube and otherwise.
