I've never really thought that a title would catch people like they do on TH-cam so ours are very basic. Our most recent is 'TWN is LIVE!! (Ep 16)' You can probably guess what the rest are haha
I titled one stream “I’ll give you the love your father never gave you” got like 3 people in chat for the whole stream so the title really does impact the stream.

Just a summary, loved the vid!
I titled an F-Zero stream something along the lines of "Attempting to outrace my anxiety, is it possible?" And I went from my average 3-5 viewers to about 10 for the majority of the game, with much more chat than normal too. I'm gonna give more attention to my titles from now on, thanks for the tips!
I just want to say that I did what you said about the title and other things in your other videos. Within an hour of streaming, I got raided by a huge streamer who was scrolling down and he picked me because of my clever title and that my stream peaked his interest. Thanks a lot!!!!
Most people's fav titles for my streams are, "Roes are Red, I'm not a Horse, For I have joined, the counter-terrorist Force!" and "Doctor Doid Will Kill You Now!", they both drag the most viewers in and most people say these are the best titles out of all my streams.

Just sharing one of my previous titles and by far my favorite. "Potatoes are sexy, change my mind." Now I liked this title the most because of potatoes. Potatoes are obviously a food, but with gaming people call bad players potatoes too. Not to mention it was great for a food debate.
I played Oxygen Not Included and named it “Drowning in their own piss!!” It was my first stream on that channel and I averaged 5 or 6 viewers for the whole 7 hours. The fact I tagged “beginner” and “back-seat gaming allowed” helped as well as they all wanted to teach the game to me.
I've recently started streaming and have been doing mainly art streams as I'm really passionate about art and creativity. I've got a bunch of stuff planned, ranging from smaller canvases to two giant ones I forgot I had, and plan on having them be rather ambitious detail wise. Titles I've usually gone with have been what I'm doing specifically, my first ever streams titled "Painting some Potion Brewing!" As I was painting a witch in his hut making a potion. Now I've been doing ones titled "Sketching for our future" or (one I have planned for this week) "Painting Some Little Friends". This advice really helps though! I've been thinking of titling ones "Painting Animal Friends That Give You Your Serotonin" because I also love animals and creatures, fictional or real. I might start writing these down, this information helps me so much! Thank you for the video!
Was gonna title my Final Fantasy XIV stream “yer a wizard, Florges” but now I’m thinking “Hot dogs are definitely a sandwich. Convince me otherwise” lol!
Questions should be related to the major content of the game but also "yer a wizard, Florges” is a bit tough because you'd need to know the game to understand who that is but you'd at least get the meme! Right wheelhouse! Keep it up!
Regardless of many Aussie streamers its the representation of Aussies on the platform, people streaming are usually associated with being American, to me personally as well it means so much to see Australia represented by content creators
One thing that would be really engaging is if you done like a TV show style thing, where you had small streamer applicants and done a series helping them grow on twitch by mentoring them. Seeing their reactions, etc when giving them feedback, etc and see how they move forward with their stuff. You'd obviously need to gauge their commitment to actually do it via an application process, but I think it would make great content for youtube. Similar to the shows about people wanting to lose weight, or learn a new skill, etc.
Hi, I'm a 58 yr old noob streamer. I started streaming just to rewatch the VODs but then a few people started hanging around. This is what drove me to your channel. Everything I've done so far is only because of your easy to follow directions on "how to..." Ok, so my last stream title was... *Snowball Fights and Bass Slappin: This winter the Chickens are getting Funky* (Rock band) I'm thinking too click baity? ... Just a footnote: OMG... TY for all your advice ❤❤
I use "Simpology 101" or "That time I got reincarnated as a simp" every once and and a while and I get people in telling me how the title was hilarious lol
It varies from game to game. If I'm doing a playthrough series, I like to have a main title, something solid cuz it's gonna be a continuous series of streams around that game, and a sub-title after that describes what I plan on doing that stream. With my current game, Northgard, I co-stream with my bf, and we are running conquests with specific clans. The main title I came up with was Lynx Paws (for the Lynx clan) & Kraken Maw (for the Kraken clan) and then a sub-title that focuses on the mission we plan on doing. When I streamed DBD, I would find quotes online depending if I was playing survivor or killer, something that made you stop, think or laugh. Titles to me are like book names. If it doesn't get my interest, I'm less inclined to read the back.
I just want to say that I used the “cause a discussion” title-creating tip tonight and I got two people to pop in to debate the title. Both followed :)

Pokemon Emerald Ryanlocke! Hop In | Pokemon Emerald" The first 36 words include "Pokemo" so they will know that its a pokemon stream. Thanks a lot eljay

I know this video is 2 year old...but just now watching it. I love that I seen NICO in a bunch of the screen shots you showed. She is a great streamers FYI people.
This is so true! My titles are always funny and relevant to the game that Im playing and im 59 followers but my average now is 4-7 views. And im so happy.
Most recent one: We made it! The Casuals take on Eden's Promise: Eternity (Savage) | FF14 | !commands We very much delivered, 4 hours of banging our heads against a single fight, 3 minutes at a time. Now knowing the 36 character display, it cuts off at "Ede...", could have been E12S instead of the full fight name. I've got some solo and group stuff that is coming up, definitely going to look in to putting more thought into titles and Go Live.
one of my best streams was “bedwars but someone is in my room” nobody questioned it also mg first geoguessr did well (in my standards) with “geography: the game
This video was extremely helpful and entertaining to boot! Noob Question: so the !tags in a title are used to inform viewers of commands they can use in chat? Or do they serve any search functionality? Thanks ahead of time!
As far as I know, "!tags" in a title are just for commands in chat, however adding the entire game to your title at the end helps with search from what I have seen so potentially it could help. If someone happened to search, "Blind Breath of the wild" then I wonder if a game tittle that had "Breath of the wild - !blind" might be more likely to appear. I wouldn't bother adding them for search but it's an interesting idea.
Today I streamed for the first time and I think i called it "Test stream!" because I was just planning to get a general overview on what I need to improve and oh boy its alot
my last one was for phasmophobia, the title was: 'Who you gonna call? Not us!' and then changed the us to me, since my friends who i played with left the lobby, i was pretty proud of it.
I think you need to add more of a hook, if you're in the minecraft category they know you're playing minecraft. You need a joke, or a challenge. "Exploring The Nether... IN HARDCORE!" for example is incredibly clickable.
I just name my streams along the lines of “Playing Dungeon Quest With The Viewers! Come Join In” And I usually replace the game with whatever I’m streaming at the time. This has worked very well for me and I’m curious what you think of it. Also great content I liked the video and am hoping for more content.
More videos coming weekly! Thanks for the kind words! Playing with viewers is a great way to engage new people, it’s one of the ways I grew early but playing Jackbox with viewers!
As a two-year streaming veteran who recently transitioned to full-time streaming, I express my sincere gratitude for your invaluable support throughout my journey. I continue to explore strategies for enhancing audience engagement, and I want to thank you for your instrumental role in my success.
The Adventures of Maid Carrion was my original title. Now? Now I think I'll save it for the TH-cam episodes and call the twitch stream "Vultures Keep Calm and CARRION"
That’s tough, warzone is incredibly oversaturated which means that unless you have 50+ viewers it is unlikely anyone will see you or your title. It’s still important to have a great title but sadly it won’t do much in a category like Warzone since it is very hard to grow at all.
One of my Twitch titles was "Fallout Evil 4" I did this as I had made Leon S. Kennedy (from RE4), into a Fallout 4 character. I even added in mods to increase the Resident Evil feel.
So as of late ive been playing Valheim, usually I make jokes or remarks about our progress, some of my latest titles have been things like: [NZ] Boss #5 Prep - Best Flax farmers in town [NZ] Day... I lost count - We found boss 5 before boss 4... Oops I often keep NZ in the title as other NZers often find me that way and we can start up a convo quite easy regarding things happening in the country (You know, Like the weather).
i just recently went half deaf about 6 months completely cant hear out of my left ear anymore. use to play apex legends at a pro level and now i play valorant at a high level currently IM1. heres my title "Half deaf gamer grinding for radiant | !deaf" idk if using my disability as click bait is a good or bad thing.
Click bait isn’t a bad thing unless you are lying or don’t deliver, I doubt you are doing either of those. Great title, seriously I think it would do very well! Keep it up!
I'm usually not very creative at coming up with titles. After watching this, I titled my stream as "Watch me failing to get loot in (instance name)" ...which after running the said dungeon 3 times I still fail to get anything I roll for. It wasn't much but my view increased from 0 to 5! So these tips really helped! Thank you! 😊
It feels like it needs work, and you might run a risk of playing into a type of audience that can be very tough to grow with and have fun streams with.

This is so true! My titles are always funny and relevant to the game that Im playing and im 59 followers but my average now is 4-7 views. And im so happy.
I went from "WZ fun!" (BORIIIING) to "DROWNING IN CHEATERVILLE" for my warzone streams. Thank you my guy.
Most recent one: We made it! The Casuals take on Eden's Promise: Eternity (Savage) | FF14 | !commands
We very much delivered, 4 hours of banging our heads against a single fight, 3 minutes at a time.
Alot of great points. Thank you for these tips. I'm learning to grow every stream. So each n everything thing I see I evolve.
i usually have titles like “Farm Time with Friends!” when playing stardew or “Minecraft, But It’s Beta” when i played minecraft beta
How do they tend to go?
@@StreamScheme I usually get unlucky with how not too many people come in, but it's still nice to meet new friends.
My latest was “War is unchanging...?” after doing my first Battlefield V stream called “War never changes,” that ended up being my best stream ever!
Glad to hear it! :)
I've watched a few of your vids now and I wish I had found them a year ago! Great stuff, thanks!
I recognize the theme at 4:36...
It is from Rosanna by Toto!
Okay well now you've lost me hahaha
We were playing Among Us, I titled it “Fed Simulator”
How did it go?
How'd it gooooo
The people need to know how it went
HOW DID IT GOOOOOOO
i'm guessing it worked really fvckin well since he doesn't even have time to comment with "good" or "bad"
Do you think it's beneficial having something like 'celebrating affiliate' if you've hit a milestone?
Absolutely not a noob question by the way, that's a really interesting question.
Thank you for this I got a couple of good ideas that I can alter to fit my future art streams!!
Good luck! Glad it helped in any way!
old title: MINECRAFT | COME CHECK IT OUT
new title: MINECRAFT | PLAYING WITH VIEWERS
I think you need to add more of a hook, if you're in the minecraft category they know you're playing minecraft.
You need a joke, or a challenge.
"Exploring The Nether... IN HARDCORE!" for example is incredibly clickable.
Even a year later, still learning so much from videos! You are awesome!
I just name my streams along the lines of
“Playing Dungeon Quest With The Viewers! Come Join In”
And I usually replace the game with whatever I’m streaming at the time.
I’m new to streaming I started like 3days ago I don’t even know what to do
Hopefully the channel can give you some solid guides to start!
Watching this helped me come up with a great title for my zelda stream this week. Can't wait to see what comes of it!
I title my streams with exactly what Im doing such as "chill minecraft stream!"
My last streams name was "orphan going after farm props" I was playing Arkham Knight btw lmao
Hahaha clever!
I love the pun! hahaha
Gonna try out "I know you see this stream, kitten" next time
I don't quite get it!
@@StreamScheme I get it. Let’s just say it’s a cuss.
I've been doing alliterations these last few weeks. One of my favorites: "Friday Fracas Fray - Facetious farce finagles fearsome foes"
My last Title was
"The Quick Brown Fox Jumps over The Lazy Dog"
I Think It Is Super Good.
How did it go?
@@StreamScheme 2 avg Viewers KekW
I recently used * Insert clickbait title here * it comes in handy when you can’t think of a title. It’s funny and simple.
How did it go? :)
I always chose streaming titles that were funny to me, but your advice is really helpful! I never thought about the 36 letters
Im going to try this for my next stream “if your crush won’t respond back I will ;)”
Let me know how it goes!
how did it go haha
Tonight's title: "Is Burger Town Coffee Any Good?" (Warzone...Burger Town)
That’s tough, warzone is incredibly oversaturated which means that unless you have 50+ viewers it is unlikely anyone will see you or your title.
It’s still important to have a great title but sadly it won’t do much in a category like Warzone since it is very hard to grow at all.
These topic ideas are so amazing
My last title: "Counter Strike W/ Commentary"
Potential next title: still watching.
Did you land on a new title?
@@StreamScheme legend says he is still watching
@@namelastname9580 almost a month later he is still watching
Almost 4 months later and he is still watching
"Danger around every corner"
for a scp: secret laboratory stream
How do these tend to go? Any ideas to make them more catchy?
@@StreamScheme well in a different stream for the same game I put "who let the dogs out?" and it got way more attention
One of my Twitch titles was "Fallout Evil 4" I did this as I had made Leon S. Kennedy (from RE4), into a Fallout 4 character. I even added in mods to increase the Resident Evil feel.
I was lucky enough to start streaming when he started posting this lmao
Good luck on the titles! Hope the video helped!
i called my last stream “i am loosing my sanity.” and it got people clicking asking about my sanity
or your spelling?
So as of late ive been playing Valheim, usually I make jokes or remarks about our progress, some of my latest titles have been things like:
[NZ] Boss #5 Prep - Best Flax farmers in town
[NZ] Day... I lost count - We found boss 5 before boss 4... Oops
I often keep NZ in the title as other NZers often find me that way and we can start up a convo quite easy regarding things happening in the country (You know, Like the weather).
Title “ What do you call a deer with no eyes?” 😂
I don't get it
@@pixelpat777 haha, really, you have “No eye deer”? LOL!
@@kalihlava LOL I really feel for that! you clever girl x
🤣🤣🤣
i just recently went half deaf about 6 months completely cant hear out of my left ear anymore. use to play apex legends at a pro level and now i play valorant at a high level currently IM1. heres my title "Half deaf gamer grinding for radiant | !deaf" idk if using my disability as click bait is a good or bad thing.
Click bait isn’t a bad thing unless you are lying or don’t deliver, I doubt you are doing either of those.
Great title, seriously I think it would do very well! Keep it up!
@@StreamScheme thanks for the reply and positivity keep up the great content man!
Thank you! 😊
it was a sims stream "if i cant have the perfect lesbian life my sims will!" i got some people in to watch my pain :,D
How did it go? :)
@@StreamScheme we ended up with my sim having a racoon costume
How I've been titling
"Pvp time, come that with me"
How does that normally go?
"Let me be your comfort streamer
It feels like it needs work, and you might run a risk of playing into a type of audience that can be very tough to grow with and have fun streams with.
The first thing i saw on the thumbnail of this video was "Amateur Young Man Goes Deep In Hardcore". *without context*
Don’t even need context do we hahahah
The grind doesn’t stop
My stream notification is: DJBlockade gifted a tier 1 sub!
Ludwig did it 3 months ago, it works when you have one million viewers, its spam when you're small :)
The title of my last stream -> Call of Duty: Cold War
Just the game name? It does need some work, what can we do to make it better?
@@StreamScheme Yes, just the game name. After watching this video, I have updated my titles going forward. How's this? -> "[USA] Road to Prestige 3! Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War"
@@Ceruzu Thanks for the feedback!
