The hardest things most people will struggle with pulling a dash from a first gen s10 is the two or one bolts holding the cluster to the firewall bracket, disconnecting the HVAC linkages and getting the speakers screws out the top of the dash with a windshield intact. It should take about an hour or a little less.

      Agreed!✌🏻

I find the easiest way to deal with the speakers is tilt the dash toward you and either unclip from the back or remove the grilles at that point and unclip the speakers.

Thank you my friend. This was very helpful. Like your humor. And yeah, leaves me scratching my head all the time when I find that I have aquired a boo boo after every project. Best regards.

I agree that it is very hot… But you spent more time typing this comment then the video took. It’s only a three minute video😂

I love when the cable breaks with the ebrake on. My fingers always thank me when I manually release the brake and bloody my knuckles before getting this far. 😂

Is this the same for 2nd Gen?

As far as releasing the cable goes, it should be. I’d have to research it to give you a definitive answer…
