Not only is she skilled af, like honestly I‘m not a classical guy but it’s a pleasure to watch and especially hear this, but also, on a completely irrelevant sidenote, man is that dress mesmerizing. Oh and I love the explanations, cuz like I said, I’m not a classical guy but I’m trying to appreciate the skills and this kind of stuff helps a lot. Keep on the good work.

No merely a violinist. She doesn't create music. It's ... it is a world of difference. Stuff like this is just sad to watch .. when you know the freedom that one has when one can write music... and you never fully understand until you can compose well. Then you begin to understand where music comes from... and then you begin to play your own music only in order to express all the endless emotion within. You begin to transpose inner emotion to music really well with practice. And then you play on top of that. What comes is amazing.
Me ... I watched Hillary Hahn for some clues on playing technique :) . Always gotta refine and update. But you spend enough decades refining from the best and you find that ... you can barely learn anything from any one at all any more and you are left to just correct people everywhere you go. The best experts are always investigating new methods... I am doing so. It's not just keyboard warriors... that's usually a psychological projection anyway ;)

What an incredible time we are living in that we're able to enjoy your breakdown of a piece of music like this. I mean, this is so precious - that you're sharing how the performance of this piece makes you feel as you perform with an orchestra. I know others could explain how playing or listening to music feels to them, but when you tell it - it's like hearing from Neil Armstrong what it felt like to walk on the moon. It really makes me want to hear the entire piece. You're a true ambassador to the craft and I'm sure many future generations will be inspired by these videos.

Dear Hahn, Congrats! Wishing 'Paris' going to sell well in this period of damned pandemic.
I personally take this very piece of Chausson's as my deepest love, as its musicality is so impeccable and unprecedented even for modern days, and this is also the only piece could show all the thing that violin can do with. I'd noticed that you have played this online multiple times, so I can tell you love this piece very much too! And now, with the album releasing, I bet I will listen to yours all day to find out how you think about Poème, and what care you have done with it. Thanks and have a good one!

i have the same thoughts concerning Jimi Hendrixs' take on All Along the Watchtower. The middle section just leads into a perfect state of what the song conveys which gives so much meaning to the rest of the piece. I have no idea where Hendrix lies within the classical music community but he created a few real gems of expression.
I think Hendrix came close to the idea of orchestra writing when it comes to All Along the Watchtower, he was just unaware of it.
