"20-year-old German-Spanish-Malaysian violinist Elias David Moncado is the youngest ever winner of the 1st grand prize at the International Karol Lipinski Violin Competition." I was particularly impressed with his shimmering vibrato tone in the opening phrases -- so elegant and tasteful.
Oh my these are awesome! David is an outstanding violinist and omg that violin; what!! I love Maxim especially when he hums into a part!! Joyful!🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️
His initial comments are more or less that the he’s not always sure of the student’s intentions in the phrasing; that he sometimes unintentionally makes a crescendo on an upbow and a diminuendo on a downbow due to the nature of the bow being heavier at the frog. Also that the music demands many different colours and thus many different vibratos and that sometimes non-vibrato is a colour the student could explore.
I think it speaks to his overall native intellect, and to his motivation, and perhaps to the relationship between music and other languages -- the main concept underpinning the Suzuki Method of violin instruction. He is not the only great violin soloist who is fluent in several languages.
What do you mean with your comment? This young is able to play this fantastic and extremly difficult piece almost perfectly, and Maxim is giving important advices to get it even better! And this boy is listening and trying to do it . What is your intense, to inferiore this, I really don't understand your purpose, sorry!
@@klausheidemann3572 What I meant is that the student sounded best at the very beginning. He has a beautiful and intimate approach to the piece. Vengerov takes what is special about his playing and tries to change it. In my view, Vengerov teaches from a position of ego and comfort.
The pianist is enjoying every moment of this....😊

Wow! Every student in the masterclasses is brilliant. I love how poetic this student made the piece sound.
Amazing masterclass !!! Maxim Vengerov teaches from the heart and the results in the wonderful students are fantastic!
indeed

Unglaublich guter Student, sehr musikalisch.
Das ist echt eine super schön klingende Geige, hatte leider nicht verstanden wer die gebaut hatte. Und er spielt auch super!
love Maxim's shoes!
hahaha
English subtitles please.
Seconded
I start grasping Deutsch:)))) not difficult, must say. Luckily it is not Maxim's naive language:);)

Anyone could translate professor Maxim's comments on his performance? Thx

These classes provide auto-translate into various languages. Turn on closed captioning and go to settings (the crank/wheel) for language options.
24:49 , I now have a new ringtone: Vengerov singing the opening of Emperor Palpatine's theme from Star Wars haha.
Dankeschön 🎻🎻🎻👍👍👍👏👏👏
So one gathers that Vengerov, in addition to speaking Russian and English fluently, also speaks German fluently?
And French and Spanish and Italian I believe, maybe more.
Homeschool must be fun for Violin child prodigies!

He studied violin in Germany in his teens. His German is excellent.
Some teachers have the gift of making a student sound better. Others have the gift of making them sound worse.
Sorry, but this a impudent comment, he's working to improve and that is lucking!

What was the name of the violin maker? Didn't quite catch that.
17:50 Rogeri. Great playing on a nice violin. He'd only just won an international competition prior to the masterclass.
@@milchpuder Thank you! A wonderful player indeed.
Francesco Rugeri. Violin maker (c. 1628 - 1698). Francesco Rugeri has traditionally been considered a student of Nicolò Amati...
@@fullargon according to his own biography it's a Giambattista Rogeri, not Rugeri. Both were students of Amati according to Tarisio.com.
@@milchpuder 👍 Thx for the clarification 😉
always waiting his masterclass. thankyou
walaupun ku tak mengerti bahasanya
💖💖💖👍👍👍🙌
brilliant
Maxim predigt Wasser und trinkt Wein?😁
