She actaully doen't say that in Japanese. Elliot asks if somebody was there and she just says she disappeared. Nothing about a name. Really bad translation there. Why would they add another sentence that makes zero sense?
@@Finalras yeah I totally agree, and to make it worse the English VA also says the line which has a bad translation, this happens a lot in the JRPG game unfortunately

Woah! I had just read the Toval manga relating to the Carnelia books not too long ago, but I didn't keep track of the exact place in Erebonia its set in (not even sure if they named it). So you can imagine my surprise when seeing certain characters show up again. XD
@@Fabio-ql5yf There's a manga that takes place before trails from zero called the Ring of Judgement that takes place in this town. It shows why Estelle and Joshua go to Crossbell and some of the characters in that story are part of this one.
I kinda hate how Falcom adds story outside of the games sometimes. The same happened with Class seven visiting Ymir on the first game, it was almost like "Hey, the Ymir part is not ready yet, so make a drama CD or something about it". Everyone knows that CS1 and 2 were originally one game that got way too huge so it was split into two. Thank god some good souls like you come here on yt and add the content for us to read and hear because that's a content we don't know. When Alster were added on CS4 I was totally unaware of what place it was because in the span of three games I've never seen it. xD Also: The reason Rean doesn't have 30% of lines on the game: They make the VA of him work on drama CD's!!!
The part about how "the goddess loses her power, and that leads to fiends making the world become barren and lifeless" is a bit similar to what happening at eastern Zemuria isn't it? Could this be an easter egg for the future?
@@Fabio-ql5yf not really a spoiler. It has been mentioned in multiple games that eastern Zemuria has become barren over the years and one of the reason for increasing immigrants from East.
As far as we know it mostly had to do with time constraints. Switching to full 3D and new console hardware for the Cold Steel games took a lot out of falcom. Furthermore the games became much bigger than was initially planned (Cold Steel 1 and 2 were supposed to be one game in the beginning for example). So they cut stuff they couldn't easily integrate in the main szenario and put it in the drama cd's.
@@PafdingoTrails It's still rather baffling that these drama CDs were actually only included with a select number of limited editions in japan, at least at first. So if you didn't get one of those, you'd get to a point in the games where people mention these events (particularly this one in CS3 because the one in the first game at least told you in-game that it existed) and be going, wtf are they talking about. Thankfully the script is posted online in several places and kind people like you have uploaded subtitled audio for them for the majority of us that actually care.
There is also a translated manga out there called Ring of Judgement. That describes the first meeting of Toval, Estelle and Joshua with Tilia and Kai in Alster.
Stopped playing Tocs 4 at the part of Alster. Need to see this Drama CD to understand some of the references. Just like Ymir, they should've included this on the game.

well they are on the budget but ymir 3d asset is already in cs 1 but they don't use it because deadline.
