I actually liked the 2nd iteration of the coral over the first, it had more of a change in colors across it and complimented the agate quite nicely.
That's so cool that you tell me that. I was so so so so crushed (like the coral) when that happened. Took it on the chin, rooted through what I had to find another, and ended up liking the colors and sweep of that little guy better too! Did you notice your coral at the end? You knew I was going to use that as the awesome backdrop specimen 😆. Thanks for watching, cheers!
The makers challenge has shown so many great pieces, great methods, and teaching of how to use the tools. Thank you for participating and sharing. You have great skills and know how to get the most out of your tools.
That little shard you polished came out nice. The sunstone, nice selection for the cut, great work. I can't imagine how many hours that took to just shape it, then you have to work your way to final polish.
This piece just keeps getting better. I thought it was ging to be a wall hanger or something, then to do the woven wire!
Me, I've been making cabochons with mostly granite, quartz and sandstone on a flat lap. An occasional agate, a bit of obsidian that was given to me. I've made a lot of nice refrigerator magnates. I started making some jewelry with glued on findings. I've tried some wire wrap that left me frustrated. But i will continue to improve my skills.
