Thanks dear.. You got a great city
The name is Vind-hoek, not Wind-hoek. Thanks.🤝
Thanks for the correction
As far as I know, it was originally called "Klein Winterhoek" by Jan Jonker Afrikaner as a reminder of the area he lived in before coming north. It was then shortened to "Windhoek". German spelling was "Windhuk".
@@RobertMurphy-sx8lc i heard about that as well

Yes but nowadays many people including me we we pronounce WI, so the name itself is from Dutch- Afrikaans language. It was names as such by a Nama Chief Jonker Afrikaner who settled there first with his people. The history is saying he named after the Winderberg mountain in western cape where he came from. Before that the Ovaherero people called Tjomuise( The place of smoke) due to hot spring which was in the area. While the Damara people who had inhabited the place called it // khaegamus or something like that.
Thank you.
No city in West Africa can rival this city not even my Monrovia said though
Honestly
Come and visit one day
why no people around the city? do they fear the sun?
Lol people are not many in Namibia in general so the cities are scanty
But is a very lovely place infact one of my favorite in Southern Africa
Depends what time and day it was.
