Thanks for the heads up on what to expect with this job. I got mine done today in a couple of hours. I ended up soldering my new connections on closer to the riser and making extra sure I was careful not to pinch anything reassembling the bars. Appreciate the video once again dude.
2014 Low Rider, my brake switch is white on the end - doesn't have the rubber, looks like 2 short wires with tips on the ends. Assuming it's slightly easier to change out?? Dealer replaced it once along with master cylinder about 4 years ago but it still never worked right, pressing lever forward helps for a while but not anymore. I've checked master cylinder and sprayed it with WD 40 which helped and didn't help, checked the spacing of the lever contact with switch seems ok, depressed switch in all the way and it didn't shut the light off so I assume switch is bad?? Thoughts?
Mine lost the little rubber cover over the switch due to age, and that was enough to keep it from working properly. Make sure it is properly seated in the housing. Maybe add some from of a shim behind it to hold it in place. It does not take a lot of movement to make it work.
@@KnobleMoto Yeah thanks. My guess is because when I push it in with my finger it won't shut the light off so switch is probably bad, since it worked intermittenly depending on how it I jiggled the lever now it's totally not working to shut off the light. Thanks.
Bought 2007 dyna st bob but no front brake switch. I bought the front switch but I am confused with the wiring. There are currently 3 wires. How do I test which one is which. The red wire goes 12V when I press the rear brake. The other two I am not sure how
You are going to have to dig into a wiring diagram for that. If there are three wires, coming from the switch, you will have to see which ones get continuity when the switch it extended (lever is pulled).

Why didn’t you clean your solder joint before reinstalling the harness?
It must have been and oversight. Thanks for the tip.
You do not want to pull that wire without putting a string around it and tie the string to the new wire and pull the new one through
That is the truth. It’s always good to have a pull wire.
This video is not very good I appreciate the time you put into it, but this is near impossible to follow.
