My parents immigrated to Canada from Pakistan in the 80s. I was born and raised in Toronto where my mother fed me Pakistani dishes each and every day. I always wondered, how good is the cuisine from Pakistan in comparison to what I grew up eating?

@GoldenGully there's this popular desert type of dish called doodh-jalebi, it is like jalebi in hot milk with some other stuff it sounds simple but it's heavenly man you should give that a try!

Interesting that kahwa is tea in pakistan. In arabic, kahawa means coffee. Looks good though.
Correction: in Pakistan, kahwa is GREEN tea

Kahwa is interesting in Somalia kahwa or qaxwo is coffee gulf is Qahwa, gahwa قهوة if you dialectify it depending on where you’re from

Brother I didn't go to Peshawar But to home of peshawar people (Pathan). That kahwa thing was actually relateable.
They brought us the kahwa with not just cane suger but also toffees and chocolates. Usually I don't like kahwa. But that day I liked it more than myself 😂😂.
Plus there they also had a tradition that whenever theres a guest at home they'll get a big pot and a teapot fill it with luke warm water take that to us and then they wash our hands that way our hands are clean as part of the Sunnah ❤.

It is just here tpically we have standing person and the oven is upside
Pashtuns most of them are strict muslims and we wash our feet in ablution before every prayer, and its done 5 times a day atleast(fard prayers), that ensures that the feet are not as dirty as someone who doesnt pray or is a non muslim
