I love Pakistan and it's dishes.. being a Nepalese and a member of newar community, we like those kinds of meat and flavors.. Lahore seems such a majestic vibes.. will definately visit that place..
As a person from Pakistan who was born in Lahore, I approve of every single dish you have tried, it looks DELICIOUS! It’s to the point where I’m jealous lol, you can’t really get these dishes anywhere else.
thank you! for taking us as a part of your journey :)i hope you can keep travelling and trying all these delicious foods. love from an Indian in Canada!
Gully bhai I love waris nihari but some people say that Javed/Zahid nihari in karachi is better. Could you try those too and let us know which is best?
1. Boil sliced green mangoes on a simmer until soft. The mangoes should now be soft and the peels should have removed themselves most of the way. 2. Gently pour the mangoes into a fine mesh strainer.
3. Let the mangoes cool to room temperature. After cooking, the peels should come off easily. 4. With a sharp-edged spoon or a knife scrape and remove the cooked mango pulp directly in the bowl. Scrape from the peels also. 5. As a rule, always add double the amount of jaggery or sugar to the mango pulp. The ratio is 1:2 for mango pulp and jaggery respectively. 6. Add 1 teaspoon cardamom powder, 1 teaspoon roasted cumin powder, 2 teaspoons black salt, and ¼ teaspoon crushed black pepper and black salt. 7. mix it, you can use a hand blender if you want 8. Pour the aam panna syrup in a clean glass bottle or jar. Label and store the bottle or jar of syrup in the fridge for up to three months. 9. 14. For making aam panna drink, add 2 to 3 tablespoons of aam panna syrup in a glass. 10. Add either the mango cooking water (if you still have some) or chilled water or soda. Also add a bit of lemon juice at this step if you like. i have been following you from 2 years and i realised you dont show the local dishes that much so i wanted to share this with you hope you enjoy it
I was just drinking Kashmiri tea and thinking to myself I wonder if you are going to have kashmiri in Lahore. Then you said you were going to have kashmiri tea. The big question is, was it sweet or salty? 😁 Personally, I'm team salty! It would be good to see a video of you or aunty making Kashmiri tea 😊
Hey Gully, the bread you ate at the Nihari place is not Naan. It's a type of roti, called Khamiri roti. Khamir means yeast in urdu, and they add that to the dough to make it more fluffy. Obviously you said it's the best Naan you've tasted, because imo Khamiri roti goes really well with oily meat dishes, especially Nihari. You'll find it being served at most Nihari places.
That tawa chicken is almost identical with Indonesian ayam geprek. Replace the chickpea curry with spicy sambal and thats literally it. Amazing how its something so similar can be found so far away 😂 😂
Bbq is the best! From Chicken tikkas, to Bihari kebabs, Dhaga & Seekh Kebabs all is top notch. Then the famous Karachi Biryani, Bun kebabs, Nihari, Khawsay and Shinwari Karahis. Unlimited options! When in Karachi one should know the best spots to have these
@@amanofpotatoes2176 you should totally visit, Karachi's a really nice place with a lot of diversity, and the food is incredible. Karachi was the melting pot for a lot of different ethnicities, which is reflected in the food scene, you'll find a multitude of different cuisines, and a lot of small passion project-type restaurants, something you'll find less in a city like Lahore. Lahore's a great place to live, but Karachi's way better as a place to visit
Living in Lahore since I was born and I must say the best nihari is actually from my mom! Haha but really I genuinely prefer hers than restaurants its actually finger licking good!
It's interesting to Notice that Golden Gully mostly looks to food from a Canadian point of view not from a Pakistani point of view because that tells that he has less experience in Asian Food and the other being he would be much better at understanding the Food not saying he isn't trying now. 😅
Bro get an India tour also you'll love it. As a guest tourist in the states of Punjab, Rajashthan, Uttar Pradesh for spices of North India and for more coastal spices in the state of Maharashtra as a beginner.😂😊.

In South Asia, mutton usually refers to goat meat, not sheep.

People say Too much Fat is bad for health
I say flavour is more important than health
Some fats are actually not that bad like mutton fat. Mutton fat is unsaturated so it’s pretty good actually!
Animal fats + fruit oils are not bad for health. Only seed oils are
Now I want to go to Pakistan just to eat everything 🤤
