'Parbat' means hills or mountain,also the word 'nanga' can be translated as empty,so you can say empty mountain (note:i am not native here,so I don't know much,i just translate it).None the less,it was a great video and breathe taking scene, I will visit these place one day.Take love from 🇧🇩

The word "parbat" sounds very close to the sanskrit word "parvat"(mountain),
In hindi its also "parvat" for mountain("pahad" is also used widely)

Can you give us an idea of what is required budget wise? I want to travel there when I visit Pakistan next and hopefully stay there for a week.
Parbat means a mountain or a peak. In the old days, back when there was only one country(Indo-Pak), the rishis or the saints would go there to attain spirituality. Since they would be only in dhoti (cloth which covers only your legs) and some of them would even be completely naked.
Hence the name Nanga Parbat.
Actually the Mountain got its name because it's visible from every part of Gilgit Baltistan.

‘Parbat’ or ‘Parvat’ is the hindi word for ‘mountain’ or ‘mountaintop’ so nanga parbat translates to naked mountain. Probably due to the lack of vegetation on it.
