    ◆self-introduction
We were just an ordinary Japanese married couple, both working, until my wife suddenly chose to move overseas.
After thinking deeply, I reached a conclusion to leave the company I worked for 12 years, and started my new life as a stay-at-home dad in 2021.
At first, I had rough time with stress and felt conflicted, but now I enjoy my life in Malaysia, taking the household chores over from my wife.
As I changed my lifestyle I changed my hairstyle to Samurai(Man Bun).
I named this channel "Samurai -----" as some people call me "samurai!" since I came to Malaysia.
In this channel, I will be introducing:
    1. My daily life and things I noticed as stay-home-dad
    2. My Malaysian life
    3. Changes we experience upon moving overseas
    Hope you enjoy!

I'm laughing watching the awkward moments. I'm not being rude I understand that it takes a lot of courage to make connections with the locals. Your perseverance and your kind intention make this vlog a must-watch. I tense up when you struggle and sigh with relief as you laugh when you break the ice with locals. I constantly hope that the locals will react to you with kindness. In short; this vlog is like a roller coaster of emotions with a happy ending. I find myself invested in your journey and will be rooting for you. Another thing worth mentioning here is that this vlog showcases all your trial and mini turbulence with great accompanying music and overall good quality homemade production. Trust a Japanese to do something well; this production is made in MALAYSIA, with all the JAPANESE sensibility. This is where sincerity, hope, and kindness prevails.

just like most outsider see malaysian and mistaken as thai/filipino in other country, people might thought your are chinese thats why they speak malay to you because malaysian chinese do speaks malay. before anything just say you are from japan they will entertain you in english. good job on comunicating with locals. you will get use to it and lose the anxiety. malaysian people will not judging for the mistake, just worried whether you understand or not

Sir, you are very thoughtful. As someone who have been abroad, I think the language barrier is quite difficult to overcome, but please know that dealing with that is normal. Hopefully you and the family does not feel burdened by it. I believe communication happens even in different language, as long as the message can be delivered to the other person.
And it's okay to eat in public during ramadhan by the way, no worries!

@@SamuraiStayAtHomeDad Don't be surprise there are some of us even learn A bit of Japanese Daily Conversation through Anime and your local artist from youtube or game. Only from Younger Generation though. English is a minimum Language at least for us locals Malaysian to understand the message. To reply will take some time as we rarely converse in English for daily use. Few special keywords that local use will help you in conversation some in english and some in Local Language. Since our vocabulary kinda mixed with English. Eating in public while in Ramadan is not rude in general as long you're not show off on purpose unless they are agree or even pursuade you to taste test under condition that they know you're not fasting or not Muslim.
