There is no perfect place; just a suitable place. Sometimes, Malaysian in general are being too complacent in life. We do not know how fortunate we are living in a place where very minimal natural disasters, generally harmony living despite multi cultural community; and a place where still affordable in many ways.. and cater for all walks of life; from budget to luxury segments. Very well said. We are always forgetful and take for granted for the things that we may find trivial or boring which could be a big deal in some other countries.

Thank you for feeling the same way in Malaysia, the way I feel whenever I'm in Japan. When I was in Japan, I experience the "blank space" and jiyu you felt here, because my "space" is indeed congested here in KL. Whether I'm in Kichijoji or Ishikawa, I feel at peace. Home away from home is always possible, and I'm glad you've found one in Malaysia 💚
It does feel relaxed here n you can be yourselves. People are not judgemental or will look at you funny. If you notice, Msians are very at ease wherever they go. They wear whatever comfortable, even pajamas to the malls! Now we are in Ramadan, you will see the muslims in their prayer attire everywhere at night after performing their prayers. Dont be afraid when you see women all covered up in their telekung lining up to buy Starbucks. We are very comfortable with ourselves and we are tolerant with other peoples’ level of comfort as well. Enjoy your stay here. Appreciate the greenery everywhere, blank spaces are aplenty. Do visit Putrajaya n enjoy the many gardens there. You can try cycling at Wetlands Putrajaya n enjoy the scenic routed there. Simple beautiful.
Thank you for sharing. Fully respect everyone who are going through fasting this season. My wife simply loves looking at Muslim women's outfit as they are very beautiful😊
Your video captures this feeling perfectly. Fast paced countries such as japan or singapore does make you stress out and have little time for family and yourself. So that's why each time i come back to my home country from overseas i will let out a huge sigh of relief. And your description of "Blank Space" is definitely something worth pondering and appreciating. Cos as malaysian we do tend to forget the little things.

Good job bro, your video also definitely provided that "blank space" for many others. Malaysia. It's unique in a way, you can prioritize yourself, without being selfish. An aura that's not uniquely Malaysia, but has been lost in many others.

Malaysia also have system, punctuality, discipline but in our own special ways relax British system, health and safety, English life style and English way of living, English way of Eating and English polite manner and respect. I'm glad we did adapted British system business and education. Malaya was one of the important country for traders all over the world last time. That's how Malaysia we got today full of varieties and rich of sources. Im mainly like local food Sarawak Laksa and Kolo mee, Kueh Chap, bah kut teh and more hehe

Hello Samurai-san, How you and your family adapt with ramadan month? Any culture shock or stories to share? Love to hear your experience since this is 2nd ramadan month after you stay in Malaysia, right?
Hello Mohamad Fikri Misti san, thank you for asking😊 Some classmates of my daughters are fasting and I can see my girls highly respecting those. Very precious experience for me and my family.
@SamuraiStayAtHomeDad what I can suggest to you is to please do some research on Islam..I guarantee it will give your body and soul the much needed tranquillity.

Peace in hearts and goes to the mind. We thought living in Japan sounds good but there is catch there. Everything move very fast and people don't have time to think, rest and unwind the mind. Everything works, works. At least you found home and rest in other country.
This video reminds me of the time me and my family went to Japan probably 4 years ago. We went to Osaka and we all loved the very disciplined nature of Japanese people. Thank you for your channel. It's a unique window into the world. I understood the video. For future "open space" instead of "blank space" and "lack of crowding" or "lack of congestion" would be the most common English words to describe what you were talking about, but I understood you. I only speak one language. You speak at least two.
Your comment has given me positive energy. I'm happy, thank you😊 Also, thank you for the guidance on English word choices. Speaking English and Malay is always a challenge for me, having been born and raised in Japan, but receiving words from you in English like this is wonderful experience.
Hello samurai dad. This is the first time i come accross your vlog n interest me most of your blank space you found in Malaysia. I never thought a Japanese man could feel that way for my home country. I thought you could find this in Japan as well because from what i checked Japan has abundance of green nature. I'm glad you found it here. However...Doesn't matter where we found the blank space... as long we appreciate n have respect for that... naturally we will immerse ourselves in them. As for me living in kampung... I'm surrounded with greens n lovely kampung people everyday. So more or less I guess my blank space is larrrrrrger than yours.. hehehe.. come visit n jalan-jalan to kampung. You will feel the differences. Have a good day🌴🌳🌾
Hello salma ishaq san, thank you so much for giving me your words. So happy to hear that you have lots of "blank space" and having peaceful days in your life. Yes I'd like to live in kampung in the future😊
Beautifully captured outlook on life. In Islam, that is called sakeenah- being truly at peace with yourself. Gratitude, thankfulness based on what Allah has granted us. Be a faithful servant of Allah, be nice to people and to nature. Because we'll be accounted for with our actions in the hereafter. Make our temporal life here as meaningful as possible, as it is an investment for our akhirah. That's how I look at it. Being in Japan recently, I felt too constricted being managed by the 'clock'- forever rushing to catch a train somewhere that you lose the pleasure of the world passing by. Unless you run to countryside, which is wonderful
There is a Malay word that is associated with the feeling being chased or surrounded by worries or unpleasanteries or uneaseness in your surrounding. The word is called rimas. Samurai san, have you been to bazaar Ramadhan? Must go to experience local vibes. But bazaar ramadhan is very busy tho, so many people, no "blank space" 😅
Such a beautiful park ❤ Yes i agree with you that the Japanese tend to hide their true feelings and opinions and are afraid of expressing them, lest others will judge them or look at them in a certain way.
I agreed with you, I found my free space in Johor as when working in Singapore is almost like working in Japan with fast pace. Going back to Malaysia at night is quite relaxing for me now and glad that my country Malaysia is slow and relaxing.
We call that feelings "Layan blues~". Its just a concept where you can just take in your surroundings & your feelings. You forget your stress and be at ease. Even just a simple relax can give more motivations to move forward with life. This is a very relaxing & enjoying video. I hope people everywhere can improve their physical & mental health.
There's going to be a huge hari raya open house at Dataran Merdeka this Saturday from 10am. Hope you can go and hope you can connect with the guy from Japanese moved to a tropical country, Chomnage Japan and Supanachu Family.
Before, MCO( COVID-19 lockdown) I traveled overseas to relax. Now, I tend to enjoy the slow pace of life. Even travelling to KL city from Subang Jaya is an hassle for me now. I loved this video because is about our life style.
Malaysia is a lot like a friend, with his own faults and flaws - but accepts yours too. The blank space exist between you and him is so welcomed. It allows you to mature and grow with lots of wiggle room to reflect and learn.
I'm glad you see life is better in Malaysia's environment n manage to put it into words. Happy to see many japanese realize life can be better instead of being depressed n killing themselves everyday.
I went to Okazaki, Japan in 1993 for 5 months for job training and I really loved it there. I loved to walk around town and the people are really nice. Admired some gorgeous ladies but just admired them from afar because I was married. The only difference there from the situation in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia was the rush into trains which was overwhelming for me. The trains were packed like sardines and there was no space between me and other passengers, even ladies and I felt really awkward. This was something that was unlike Kuala Lumpur trains. I really missed Malaysia at that time, because of the food and my family. Malaysia is more laid back and less hectic than Japan. But I love both countries.
Hey Mr. Samurai.. I was in dilemma in choosing between stressful job with high salary or WFH job with enough salary.. Thank you for the video pointing out about the blank space, now i know which to choose
The spiritual quest that you been looking for is... Islam. You cant describe it, cant see it, but it is around you. You are being led to the correct land.
I'm Malaysian and been to many parts of the world, and I really understand you. The best countries for living are those that have balance between innovation (collective success) and warmth (individual touch). Malaysia fits this well. Another country that fits this is Turkiye (from my experience). When I first visited Turkiye, after spending first day in Istanbul I felt like 'wow this country truly makes my hearts melt and at peace'! In developed countries, there is innovation but lack of genuine warmth. In developing countries, there is genuine warmth but there's no innovation. So life feels somehow 'hollow'.
The secret of the beauty of life in Malaysia is being yourself while not having to be validated by others..when the mind is at peace...you are at home brother...I speak Japanese and I have improved my vocabulary by listening to yr video...osewa ni narimashita!!
I didnt realise that there is abundance of blank space around me until you raised this issue in your vlog ... thank you for making me realised how grateful we should be as a malaysian .. thank you again my friend .. happy that you got to experience blank space here 💕🐈🐈⬛💕

Thank you all the brothers and sisters🥰🙏
Such a beautiful park ❤ Yes i agree with you that the Japanese tend to hide their true feelings and opinions and are afraid of expressing them, lest others will judge them or look at them in a certain way.
Thank you😊 Yes it's a beautiful park.
As a Malaysian, I am grateful. I like your voice. Soothing 😊.

@@SamuraiStayAtHomeDad welcome 😊
I agreed with you, I found my free space in Johor as when working in Singapore is almost like working in Japan with fast pace. Going back to Malaysia at night is quite relaxing for me now and glad that my country Malaysia is slow and relaxing.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts😊
Glad u enjoy life here
Thank you😊
We call that feelings "Layan blues~". Its just a concept where you can just take in your surroundings & your feelings. You forget your stress and be at ease. Even just a simple relax can give more motivations to move forward with life.
This is a very relaxing & enjoying video. I hope people everywhere can improve their physical & mental health.
Thank you for sharing😊 Yes I hope the same, good health for everyone.
Thanks for the kind word.......
Thank you for your comment😊
There's going to be a huge hari raya open house at Dataran Merdeka this Saturday from 10am. Hope you can go and hope you can connect with the guy from Japanese moved to a tropical country, Chomnage Japan and Supanachu Family.

Thank you😊
Before, MCO( COVID-19 lockdown) I traveled overseas to relax. Now, I tend to enjoy the slow pace of life. Even travelling to KL city from Subang Jaya is an hassle for me now. I loved this video because is about our life style.
Thank you for watching and leaving your comment😊
i talk about the concept of blank space with my friends all the time but they don't understand me. maybe i should send them this video 🎀
Hope it helps😁 Thank you!!
Malaysia is a lot like a friend, with his own faults and flaws - but accepts yours too.
The blank space exist between you and him is so welcomed. It allows you to mature and grow with lots of wiggle room to reflect and learn.
Thank you for sharing😊 I liked the way you express the country "a friend"!!
3:35 cool transition
Thank you👍
Feel relaxed myself 😊😊❤
Wow that's great. Thank you😊
Thank you i realize blank space or negative space in paintings are just as important
Thank you so much if I had by any chance assisted you😊
I love your videos 🤩 mantappp !!
Terima kasih ya🥰
I'm glad you see life is better in Malaysia's environment n manage to put it into words. Happy to see many japanese realize life can be better instead of being depressed n killing themselves everyday.
Both countries are beautiful. Thank you😊
I went to Okazaki, Japan in 1993 for 5 months for job training and I really loved it there.
Thank you for sharing your story😊 Trains are still packed in 2023... in Japan.
good points Mr Samurai
Thank you😊
Hey Mr.
Thank you for your comment😊 Very honored... It's difficult to notice or realize things all by myself.
I love how you put this kind of feeling in words. I totally agree but never been to Turkey. Thank you😊
Terima Kaseh ❤️❤️❤️
Arigato ya🥰
Beautiful content
Thank you for your compliment.
The secret of the beauty of life in Malaysia is being yourself while not having to be validated by others..when the mind is at peace...you are at home brother...I speak Japanese and I have improved my vocabulary by listening to yr video...osewa ni narimashita!!
I'm so happy that I was able to help you in any way. Arigato gozaimasu🙏
