    hey i noticed that you rarely use tomato in your soups, as a zambian i cant imagine soup without tomato. soo , if i tried your recipies and added some tomato would it really change the original taste or just add flavour??

    • @odindehoge8365
      @odindehoge8365 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lol, Hi. It'd absolutely change it completely. It'd be completely something different. Tomatoes are used for stews over here,definitely not in soups.

      Funny enough Ghanaians also use tomatoes for all their soups. We have a similar recipe/soup but add one or two tomatoes...blended of course. It does change the taste slightly. I've had both the Nigerian one and our one and I like them both but for different reasons :-)

      Zambian here and since i started following her recipes, i rarely use tomatoes. My fridge is stocked with bell peppers. I even make Zambian recipes with bell peppers. haha. As for pepper soup, i'd say you maybe could add a few fresh tomatoes as a garnish.

      by soil you mean sand??

    • @theablack6600
      @theablack6600 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If your meat is properly washed then might be the spice, sometimes these ground spices needs to be properly washed and strained to avoid any sand getting in your soup

      Proper washing also means scrapping the cow hyde (ponmon) thoroughly, removing burnt hairs and residues

    Please why did you book the kidney separately from the meat

    • @olabsy
      @olabsy 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Probably because it cooks faster, but I cook it with salt first then rinse it off before throwing in the mix

    • @cathy9644
      @cathy9644 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      If you notice kidney and liver always bring this dark residue when boiled. So if you don't want a dark colored broth, then cook separately, rinse and discard the kidney/liver stock. I made a mistake once cooking it together and the taste of the broth was altered, it was dark and not palatable at all. We learn lol!!!

      Because they're bloody most times. You dont want to mix the dark broth with your meat stock
