    Are there any risks in these whitening pastes wearing away the enamel?

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Potentially. They are more abrasive, so continued use over prolonged periods can wear down the enamel more.

      It is not really that easy to say one is better than the other. Both can remove stains from the teeth and help your teeth look whiter.

    Does the hydrogen peroxide on the Colgate max white causes any sensitivity?
    There are numerous reports that teeth whitening using hydrogen peroxide causes tooth sensitivity and since I am tempted to try this toothpaste I am also worried if it's going to harm my teeth.
    Thanks in advance for any help!

      It shouldn't do as the concentration is very low. It is possible but rare.

    I’ve heard that people love AquaFresh Toothpaste. I’ve seen it in the oral care at Walmart all the time. Also the Tube look’s definitely bigger than most named brand models like Crest, Colgate, sensodyne and Arm&Hammer. So you’d think your getting more toothpaste amount since AquaFresh seems to come in a bigger Tube. So that would be more value for money technically? Idk I’ve heard good things about it. What’s your Opinion on AquaFresh Toothpaste?? Thanks.

      We haven't done extensive testing or comparison of particular toothpaste brands. Generally speaking they are all comparable. Aquafresh is just a long standing 'trusted' brand that does well off the back of public perception etc. Often people stick to a brand of toothpaste they like.
      A good toothpaste doesn't need to be expensive. If the tube is bigger and the same or similar price to other tubes that are smaller then yes its better value for money.

      @@ElectricTeeth Okay so have you personally have had the chance to try AquaFresh? Not when your at work but just at home? And what do you think of it then? Oh also I’ve recently purchased the Sonicare HealthyWhite Standard addition that has the 2 modes daily clean and Clean and White. Also with the DiamondClean brush heads for it. It’s a great package I must say come with a battery indicator which is always a plus, comes with those 2 modes I’ve mentioned, very sleek and durable feeling travel case, fits 2 brush heads, 1 DailyClean Head and the DiamondClean brush head, also I love the look of it it just scream’s comfortability to me. Pretty much all rubber which is nice comfortable and grippy, I also got it in that really nice Philips Baby Blue color which is beautiful, It also has the 30 second Interval Smart Timer and 2 minute shutoff time. I haven’t been able to use it yet but I wanted to see how it felt in my hand and it feels by far the best ever electric toothbrush I’ve held. I’m using a white Burst so once that dies I’ll get to use the HealthyWhite. Also it has the best stain removal in the lineup I mean it’s in the name so yeah. But I’m so excited I can’t wait. I have the old chunky 1100 model at my dads place and that does a pretty good job it’s simple but the HealthyWhite is a little slimmer and more grippy/comfortable to hold where the old chunky 1100 is just all slick plastic I have to really grip the 1100 in order for it to not fall out of my hand since there’s no grip. Also I got a good deal on this HealthyWhite Brand New in box on Amazon and the new 6 pack of DiamondClean heads I bought separately for a good deal as well. I recently got the Philips One Rechargeable in White and it had a deal where it came with a box of 2 extra sealed brush heads so that was around $30.00 in total for that deal so I’d say score. 😁👍🏻

      I've used Aquafresh in the past, but admittedly this was quite a few years ago. From what I recall it was a perfectly fine toothpaste. No issues with it.
      Don't expect too much on the stain removal. If you are using a Burst toothbrush already. the Sonicare isn't going to magically do a significantly better job.
      It sounds like you are very happy, so if you are pleased with it you will likely use it correctly and pay attention and get good results. 🦷

      @@ElectricTeeth Okay yeah understandable I’m still using the Burst I just don’t feel like it’s doing a good enough job even though I brush correctly and I keep up on it being fully charged. My Sonicare 1100 at my dads place seemed to do a better job than the Burst. My brushing technique is to lightly scrub my teeth. But with the Burst it just doesn’t feel like it’s doing much. Also I don’t like the fact when I get the head wet first it slowly gets stiff and doesn’t stay soft, also it doesn’t really soak up water into the head just a little bit not much like the sonicare heads soak up a nice bit of water. Idk I’m just not super thrilled with the burst also I can only go for 1 week with the battery on my Burst. Where the 1100 at my dads can go for 2 full weeks. I got the Burst new so idkw I only get 1 week of charge. Also Philips has always had a good reputation on there products, they make good quality stuff I haven’t had any issues with my 1100 at my dads. They make good S***. They’re a long loved company that everyone can trust same with Oral B the Braun Rotary powered electric toothbrushes are very well built. Burst on the other hand idk they don’t seem worth all the hype. My Dad uses a Sonicare 4000 Protective Clean and he’s never had issues. And no I’m not a smoker or drinker of any kind. I’ve just had better experience with Philips. I showed my dentist the Burst and she wasn’t too thrilled. I then showed her the HealthyWhite instead and she said I’d go for that one instead. So I’ll let you know when I am able to use my New HealthyWhite when the Burst Dies. I’ll give you my predictions on it and how well it did. It does feel more powerful than other models like my 1100 at my dads since it’s just the dailyclean model it feels normal. The HealthyWhite when I turned it on when I was looking at it out of the box it feels a lot more powerful than most models including the 1100. So I’ll let you know how well the HealthyWhite model does.

      Thanks for the extra info. It is useful to get insights like this. Burst brushes I've found to generally be ok, but would generally pick a Sonicare over them.
