I think this blowdryer is made for low manipulation and zero heat damage it’s not for a perfect blow dry look.. it’s to be able to style hair stretched..

It's a really great tool for those of us who can't use a comb attachment due to how badly the comb attachment pulls out our hair.

In my opinion, they are completely different tools, and I do own both of them. I also follow you enough to know that you like to do twists in your hair. This is a great tool to dry those twist if you happen to style them wet.I just think a reverse heat tool versus the Dyson blow dryer, isn’t a comparison.
Try it again and watch some videos on how to use it. I think you had more texture with the Dyson. With the rev air, you can move it (side to side)around to get your roots straighter. And you shouldn’t pump up and down so much. Both are great tools. This one is more about having less manipulation to the hair itself.

I do believe the rev air got your ends a lot straighter than the Dyson. But I also believe that because of how the Rev air is made. It won't get your roots the way you want versus the dyson and has the comb attachment, which allows you to get your roots a lot straighter. Also I think a solid 2 minutes on those half sections would be perfect. I'm talking setting the timer. Hold your arm there for 2 minutes. I think that would have been great. Also I feel like because it's a newer product to you and you've already gotten accustomed to using the Dyson. The time difference is obvious because you have more experience with the Dyson VS the rev air where you were trying to figure out how long it would take you to hold your arm app in order to get. A good dry. I believe if you use the rev air a little bit more and get more comfortable with it. The time will increase probably not by half but it will decrease
If the clip with the Dyson is the one with the light green top, your hair had a lot of texture pieces in the front. The Revair did a much better job.
I use mine with leave in conditioner and a light misting of heat protectant and have had no problems with my revair. I have the first revair. I do a cold shot for last 10 sec to close down cuticle. I also use my paddle brush to take the hair out the dryer and immediately bantu knot it up while the hair is still full stretch to keep the tension. When i want to be lazy drying, i use this dryer.

I can get my hair pretty sleek and I'm 4a. I have the older one but I heard the newer one gets hotter. I use only a serum and it does feel weird to do so because my hair feels naked but we have to get used to feeling our true texture and not hair with a bunch of product. My roots get really flat to be able to do a trim 💯 I do 8 sections, blow dry for 45 seconds, take out and comb out texture and back in for 45 seconds and irs smooth. But after im finish do 4 sections to further smooth the hair since some moisture was present while completing the sections. I hope thay makes sense 😊
Takes some getting used to but I’ve mastered getting a straight blowout using this blowdryer ❤. I love mine ❤
I was getting a stiff feeling but I figured that was the stickiness of the heat protectant I was using and then I didn't realize that with this newer version, you can use a light oil. What I don't like is my ends start to get funny maybe 15 minutes after completing the whole head. I think they are starting to curl and I don't know how to handle that. I don't know how to maintain the straighter look
So are you going to go over it with a flat iron or blow dry it again your usual Dyson dryer?

I love the RevAir. 💕 I've been using it for a year. If you're looking to get a sleek and quicker blowout you have to do smaller sections. The bigger the section the longer it will take to dry. I use high heat on tension 7 for about 1 minute then blast with cool air to lock in the moisture before my hair is completely dry. It takes me under an hour to dry my whole head. Going in an up-and-down circular motion helps to get the roots much smoother. I tie a T-shirt on my head while my hair is in twists to soak up excess product. This speeds up the drying time better. Definitely a good arm work out 😂.

The Rev air did better on your hair from the clip video you put in 😊...maybe, the feel of the dyson because it more traditional and time is what you're used to and its hard to get past... but ultimately they both did a nice job..

@@britttanyroseI can't explain how much I love your honesty. I had the exact same experience. It made my hair dry and took way too long, I didn't go past one quadrant as a result and sent it back the day after I tried it. For a $400 purchase I needed to love it.

I don’t like blow drying without product either .. but that’s a problem for me because my blow dry/flat iron doesn’t come out silky :( I guess I’m gonna have too to get the results i want. Btw congratulations on the weight loss journey 💙🙏🏾🎉
I use product with my revair, leave-in and heat protectant and that leaves my hair soft.

I have this hair dryer.. and it does seem to make hair dry after using it.. the ends feel crunchy and my hair smells a little after lol. It does get it straight tho..
Have you figured out what to do with your ends? I don't like the way mine feel either and they seem to be curling again
@@sable7114 unfortunately I had to clip them. I’d recommend getting the Dyson airwrap blow dryer if you’re planning on spending 400$ for a blow dryer. All ths does stretch the air really good but the roots are very puffy still and the ends not that great.
Two minutes per section is crazy. My hair is way too thick for that. Thanks for this honest review!
It takes me about 30 seconds per section, and my hair is same density as hers (which I think is medium density) and past waist length. I think the key with the RevAir is to let your hair air dry a bit more.

IT IS TOO HUGE❗️I don’t know Ms. Brittany, it’s drying your hair but for the price I don’t think I’d like having to do so many passes on my hair like yours. I was expecting it to do one pass and done. They did not consider older people who may not be able to hold it for the length of time needed. I screamed laughing when you said how hot the bathroom was, totally relatable. I be completely HOT the whole time I’m doing my washing ”hair day”. 😂

I don't know how do you guys are but I'm certain I'm older than Brittany and I find it so much more easier than a regular blow dryer and don't feel tired or don't feel as though it's heavy or any of that stuff. My hair is waist lift and for the top I just tilt my head over a little. I do use my arms a lot on a daily basis though, carrying things and typing for hours it seems. It would have been so much easier to use it blow drying my mom's hair as well. Oh happy Mother's Day everyone!⚘⚘
