Of course, sell it. I came to this channel to watch adventures on the xj600s. I even bought my own and am now trying to install EFI on it.

I totally enjoyed riding your bike and personally see these issues as so-called „wear-and-tear“ items that can be upgraded bit by bit as time goes on. It’s good 🙏🏽honesty to inform us on those holes and other rust spots that will enable us to counteract them.
Suspension upgrades can transform a motorcycle for the better once they start sagging down, again these are „wear-and-tear“ items that can be replaced for something better and stronger.
    Best greetings from Düsseldorf
    Sher 😉

I enjoy your Interceptor content. Not planning one allows me to enjoy the bike until the day I do own one. I sense that it has become a bit sentimental for you, despite its flaws.

Try applying ACF50 or even better XCP rust blocker to orevent rusting

Both products are good and XCP has shown to be slightly better than ACF 50. The XCP Rust Blocker High Performance is supposed to be the best but is quite thick, whereas the XCP Clearcoat is more for the parts that are visible.

The Question is: Is it possible to Black the chrome interceptor. Via using other Pipes an paint the Motor(?)?(?) - for cheap money. That would be possible the solution!
BUT : How is the Tyre? Reifen mit Schlauch?? Do you often got a puncture? -lots of people prefer the Gußfelgen. und schauchlos. Cause its lighter and just better. What do you think???

It's my opinion that Royal Enfield motorcycles are poorly engineered and also have many sub standard parts. However, when it comes to paint it's a common problem these days as manufacturers have to use less toxic paint which is water based. The result is the new paint is just not up to the old standard. And if like me, you buy a new black bike (Honda) then be prepared to see every single mark. I'll not buy a black bike again.

Dude Interceptor engine is so much fun even in slow speeds and 100kmph, so careful with what you choose next, I see some suggesting cb500x those are super boring engines. If you like this engine and need more power I’m guessing it would either T100 and T120, I didn’t like Speed Twin 1200 compared to Interceptor, I’m not mentioning power figures but fun.

my neighbor got a new royal enfield last summer and parked it in our hof without a tarp for the entire winter. Now the chrome has dark spots everywhere. I think the seat also soaked in the water from the looks of it. I have no idea where this guy is, maybe he does remote work or something. Bike looks miserable though. I feel sad looking at it.

And honda is better? You buy a new honda and if you are lucky, it is ok, but if you don't, like me, you will change a lot of parts and bolts and not all on waranty. My bike, a cb500x is 3 years old and 17000km, all the black plastic parts from the comands are faded since the first year, also the mirror holders. Rear pegs support it has some stains/corosion. Some stains on the exhaust, that looks like rust. Some have rust on the fork. And the other problems were deformed tyres from the factory, wobble because of the tyres, stem bearing, water pump losing oil, chain with stuck links from new. Now i think one of the rear bearing is bad. So wich is beter? A RE that has some rust on the chrome, on some little rubber parts that are cracking or a honda with all those problems since day one. Now I have the Honda, but i think one of RE model will be my next bike. Why? Because the overall mentainance is cheaper and easy to do with basic tools and in a very small amount of time. And if some little rubber part will crack I will change it, even print it. Till now 4 bolts on my Honda got longer. 2 from the engine mounts and two from the front brake caliper. So 4 important bolts. And if you make all the meintenance in honda dealers you will pay a lot more money for the service. Around 200 euros for a simple oil change, and I think ofer 500 euros for valve clearances, and if you need some new shims, you will have the bike in the garage for the next 2 weeks till the prts arrive. This is how it is in my country. I haven't look at this when I bought the bike. I liked the model very much and still like it. But someting got away.

@@FreeMilesMC CB500X would fit into your price range (has FI and ABS, and is similar power to interceptor too, first models ~€3500), but I'm not sure if it would fit You. Otherwise, its bulletproof world traveler on and (light-ish) off the road. I don't go into the mudpits and deep sands with mine, but it handles everything else with no problems. Did ~20000km in one season while touring local and EU, and all I had to do was put the gas in. 😁
