- New Cub Cadet XT1 riding mower with 46inch deck. Unboxing and basic review of operation. Great commercial and homeowner mower. Quick demonstration of mowing and method to mow in reverse similar to a zero turn.
Just bought one in Gainesville, Fl. XT-1 LT 46 deck KOHLER 23HP twin. A powerhouse.
My neighbor got the one you got 3-4 years ago. I finally got a new 23 model love the new styling sharp looking rider. My old cub I found on the side of the road free beat to hell fixed it up didn't really need much it was basically falling apart and used it for 6 years. Still works should sell that thing.
Hi I just finished building my new XT1. I almost returned because of the two big dents on the deck- turns out that it’s manufactured that way- you might want to tell others about the dents. Hottest looking mower ever 2023. Thank you
I was so pissed when I saw the dent, saw the 2nd one 10 minutes later and figured it wasn’t coincidental lol. Sigh of relief

Wow, $1,900? Even the 42” costs more then that now. I just purchased one yesterday, and it was close to $2,200 at Home Depot (before my military discount). Thanks for the video!

Just bought a xt1 lt46 at Hd in Massachusetts for $2599 delivery next weekend 👀
I had to pay $3300.00 then after Military discount still was 2800.00.
I know the title says 2022 and I don't want to be the bearer of bad news. But the 2021/2022 models have the black/yellow seats and led headlights. Just wanted to let you know incase that's what you ordered and they sent the wrong mower. I just got one myself but a 2022 xt1 42". Super nice mowers.
I have the 2018 model and looks just like this one except I have the 42" deck. Mine has LED lights as this one in the video.
2022 model also only has 2 deck wheels.
That’s last years model 2021 you should get money off the purchase price.
That is last year model, for 2022, the Xt1 serie has the same updated frontend as the 2021 Xt2 Enduro serie.
From all the replies, it looks like I got a 2021 instead of 2022 model. Not a problem for me, might be why they were having a discounted price on it.
I don’t see why you would not just put the reverse override into operation as soon as you crank it and leave it there when mowing? It’s perfectly fine being left On.
Some IMPORTANT aspects that could/should have been mentioned....
1. Checking the oil without FIRST wiping the dipstick is a shortcut that could yield an INACCURATE oil level reading.... With replacement engines costing North of 900-1200 dollars, improper oil level checks are for people with more money than ......
2. Checking the deck level, side to side, and front to back with the front blade height needing to be ~ 1/4 inch LOWER than the back to have the blades only cut on the "front swing" of the blades. You do not want the deck level or the rear lower as this will result in "double cutting" , making for a POOR cut appearance....
3. Failing to mention any recommendation of servicing, with an oil change at about 5 hours....
4. Some locations will not provide an optimal "dry grass" condition in which grass should ONLY be cut.... With your demo cutting, a water wash-down will be necessary and, as is widely known, water is the best friend of rust and spindle bearing failure....

I bought a XT1 50 from TSC, at 30 hours that AGM battery failed, at 66 hours transmission failed, no more Cub Cadet, or MTD product
An important note for everyone.... Try to mow DRY grass only, when your can. All manufacturers have some sort of "washout port", which give consumers a false sense of performing proper maintenance, but, all it provides is a nice "wetting" of the remaining grass, there WILL be grass remaining, and then you have provided the best environment for RUST. This water will also hide between deck mounting brackets, bolts, etc. for MORE rust... Oh, the spindle bearings just love water too. ;-(

Did you have to lift it off the pallet, or how did you get it off?
I took the pallet off, also had to use a sawzall to cut some of the wood to make it easier to take the wood apart.

This is in fact not the 2022 the 2022 has led headlights and a small battery and black rims and a different hood

You only got 6yrs off your last one. How many hours did you put on it?
I used it for my landscape business so it had allot of hours on it. It still worked very well, I just wanted to get a new one.
That looks like Oregon grass or maybe Washington..What town are you in?
How did you remove it from on top of the wood?
Did you just drive it off the pallet?
@@davidmiller4499 I took the pallet bottom apart, piece by piece and also used a sawzall to cut some of the wood to take it apart, It will not drive off with the deck attached.

Just received and uncreated my cub cadet rider. It came without the tools that came in those bags with the owners manuals
You did not show how to get it off the pallet?

I bought my cub cadet 46 inch in 2021 and found out a year later it was a 2020 model 53 hours and nothing but issues with it
