That's for sure - it's definitely not always treasure and glory! You've got to take the downs with the ups.

i mark my rolls, thought you may have had some, i will be going through another box of nickels soon, i usually find quite a few americans myself, i have been keeping from 1980, thanks for the update on the 1981 nickels, when i find a bunch of shinies i don't usually keep them all, i do have a couple rolls of some uncirculated coins, so you may want to keep the 1945 commemoratives, i'm sort of collecting them to put in collections with 1940 nickels

So far, I've only been keeping the nickel. But it's starting to make sense to keep both. At some point I'll have to decide!
that was a good hunt in the second box i will take early 60s nickels any day and low mint 2000 p good finds

Hey I have been watching your videos for a little while and wanted to say that I really like these types of videos 😊. I was curious about your thoughts on the King Charles coins and if you think they will be in short supply. If these coins are only minted for 3-5 years before the next change over ( pardon the pun). Are you keeping some/ most / all of these coins with that in mind? Thanks in advance!
Thank you so much!! I appreciate you watching and I'm glad you're enjoying my content. The 2023 King Charles coins, I believe, will end up being pretty scarce and will likely be a good investment, if you can pick them up at face value. 2024 and beyond, well, it's hard to say. He could stay on throne for 20 years, or perhaps just a few - you never know. I think the 2024 will be a much higher mintage, though. I'm sure I'll keep everything I find until the Mint confirms the mintage figures.
1981 till? what date - 1981 did they make the nickels with pure nickel? (is it just for nickels or no?) Thank you, and love the content!
5 cent coins were pure nickel from 1922 to 1981, with the exception of some 1942s, and 43-45 when they were made of tombac (42, 43) or chromium-plated steel (44, 45).

I have about 35 or so king charles '23 nickels. I'm trying to get a roll of BUs of each denomination from circ. I have one toonie but it has the ring of death, pristine otherwise. Such a shame. The whole roll of 2005s is great. Always test your grading skills with those and try to find the best one. Mine is an AU-58 so i'd love to find one. Perhaps I can exchange you a charles nickel for a 2005 😅
You've done well to find some many King Charles nickels! I thnk that's a great idea to look throgh the rolll and see how well I can pick out the best. I might need to give that a shot!

Im growing out of coin roll hunting, i still do the occasional box but i cant imagine doing 2 boxes😅 plus i sit on the floor cause my table is low and my legs get cramped
I was keeping all the nickel dimes and quarters, i have about $500 fv dimes and quarters, but the price needs to double to just break even, so i might buy something with them, and just keep my nickel and cupronickel nickels
I do 10 stacks of 4 coins not 4 stacks of 10 coins
A roll of mint state commemoratives is another sign of a hunted box

A decent hunt.Anytime you find extra money in rolls it's a good thing.Usually it's the other way around,cents instead of nickels.😊
GOOD hunt have you check out 2001p that has a bud at the base of the queens neck, someone is selling one at 19.95 also which is the best grading company to send coins and what do they charge.
That's not one I'm familiar with. I have very limited experience with grading. The standard for grading Canadian Coins is ICCS. I'm not sure what their regular price is.
I need to ask on iccs what is iccs email or phone number and when it comes to sending coins off if you submit request then do you send the coins and description of coins to what address and how will you set up e transfer. Confused on the part of add new item to fill it out right thanks again.
Hello James I have some good news to tell you the other day I went to a few places and pick up some nickels and have the best find ever. I have pick up two 1996 attach 6 nickels with I think slide rotation and my first George the fifth nickel it is a 1933, also pick up another 47 maple leaf. Do you check your 2001p nickels for the blob of metal under the queens bust and some 2022 with doubling and 2023 thanks again I will await your reply8
