      Wish the center console represented the car better. A shame you have to goto the Q7 to get a nicer one.

    Guy nailed in on the head, it’s an over versatile vehicle that can take on any surface anywhere. It’s not a look at me car, it’s a for you car. The exhaust notes, amazing power, handling, ride quality, craftsmanship, & tech that even competes with today’s vehicles.
    You will be very pleased to own one of these.

    Owned GLC300 for 2 years, and now I changed to SQ5. People may ask why not 43? I test drove both. 43 is much quicker than sq5, but Sq5 is much more comfortable and better interior ( sq5's temperature controller is much easier to use :D ).

      They are both basic “luxury “ vehicles it’s not like either one is a Rs or S class model the amg43 is what I call the almost there Mercedes model lol for those who didn’t make it to 63 . Audi’s are what I always bought when I didn’t want people to think I had any money . These are for moms and dads who want to feel like they have finally made it . Like an introductory fee to cable they lure you in with the cheap shiney shit then they fuck you on the bills cause of the brand name .

      So what do you think? I saw someone comment you feel every bump in the road and I have a hard time believing that especially if in comfort mode.

    • @MultiMb77
      @MultiMb77 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Mo Town it’s very smooth, and as you say when in comfort mode it’s a proper cruiser. Not as comfy as the Range Rover, but it soaks up everything! When in dynamic though, you can tell the difference.
      I need to play around with the individual mode as I would like to make the steering heavier, I find it a bit too light

    Great review. When I ordered mine, the Sports (Air) suspension wasn't available, I also elected the standard seat Package, meaning I didn't get the quilted leather, but Alcantara that is really nice and warms up in a heartbeat!
    I do have the 21" wheels and they were a handful in this terrible winter we had here in the North East. Even with Quatro, the Summer tires were just not up to the job, slipping and sliding all over the place, scary. Order All Season tires if you can.
    Ended up getting 20" Goodyear Weather Ready tires that were great. Look for these, they were specially designed for the North East, where a lot of people have both Summer and Winter tires. This tire is all weather and can be driven year round and carries a 65,000 mile warranty. Even with the "Snow" rating! The only one out there right now.

    Hi Ryan. For the "normal" 2018-2020 Q5's, what is the effect on the all wheel drive system when I place the Q5 in "off road" mode? Likewise, what happens to the all wheel drive when I use the "dynamic" mode? Lastly, does the Q5 have torque vectoring like an Acura? My 2020 Q5 does not have the air suspension. Thanks for the help. I've looked for that information everywhere and can't seem to find the answer. Thank you.

      I've owned several Audi's and watching/reading all of the reviews I felt so let down by this new one. I went and test drove one, Audi's in general but especially this new SQ5 are a vehicle you have to EXPERIENCE to appreciate. It's not fair to judge it just by numbers or a comparison against it's rivals.. to drive it is to LOVE it, to find fascinantion in the engineering that went into this thing. It's not razor sharp but it hauls ass, the shifts are nice and quick and there's a nice little "brraaap" between gears. I am so ordering one when i'm ready to buy early next year. I test drove the BMW and it was super nice, faster than the SQ5 for sure and it backed up BMW's driver focused history in a surprising way, but it lacked the outright class, warmth and timelessness that the Audi offers, and felt alittle cheap by comparison. So, I may clearly have a bias but it's been established through time and experience with good reason.

    • @58HUSTLER
      @58HUSTLER 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JakeDrives1 Yeah, been doing lots of research on this class, and it all seems to point to this: The BMW and the Mercedes are more sports car oriented than the Audi, which seeks to deliver the best of both worlds. So basically, if you're willing (and/or wanting) to trade off comfort and everyday drivability for a tad more in the sports driving area, then pick either the Beamer or the Merc. I'm sold on the Audi. Not that it's superior, it just seems the better choice for everyday driving.

      pesto12601, exposes tailpipes can add to the sporty design of the vehicle. Also, the signature design cue for S-series Audi models is quad exhaust outlets.

    I love it too. Help. My Tourareg RLine goes back in June so looking for next Car. Was thinking about the New Cayenne (base model) or SQ5. If I spec the Cayenne in just a basic way it is similar in price. Thoughts...thanks.

    • @jasonleon1976
      @jasonleon1976 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Just my 2 cents. I’ve just ordered the SQ5 after much research with other models. Namely the BMW X3M40i, Mercedes AMG GLC43 and the Porsche Macan S (granted not the Cayenne but still very similar in design).
      I extensively test drove all the above. I narrowed it down to 2 (The SQ5 and BMW). Both of these models cabin and tech massively outclassed the Porsche in my opinion. I guess it depends what your after in the vehicle. The badge? Or the Specifications (Audi hardly has a weaker badge then the Porsche in my opinion also). The virtual cockpit of the Audi is a class above anything else. Hope that helps😀

    • @porkorosso7885
      @porkorosso7885 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      jasonleon1976 thanks. I’ve had a Cayenne 6 years ago and actually sold it after 2 years. But my kids have left home now so I don’t need such a large car. The SQ5 makes me smile so much more. I prefer it. I’ll take your advice. Cheers.

    • @jasonleon1976
      @jasonleon1976 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Porko Rosso no problem glad I can help. I would highly recommend taking both the Porsche and Audi out for a spin ideally in the same day and have a play with the tech and see which you prefer. I sat in the Porsche after I had a play in the Audi and when I saw the analogue dashboard it just seemed dated after the virtual cockpit of the Audi. And that google earth at your fingertips was a master stroke by Audi. Good luck with which ever you choose👍

    • @mannyechaluce3814
      @mannyechaluce3814 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Price is basically why the Porsche is a hard sell, the Macan/Cayenne does give you a sporty drive that the others can't provide, but very pricey. If you are not buying for performance than yes don't get a Porsche...

    • @rg3dc913
      @rg3dc913 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      If I were you I would wait for the 2019 models of each vehicle and then decide. Audi's virtual cockpit will be obsolete in a couple of months when the 2019 model comes out. Cayenne is also all new for 2019 but the Q7 is more comparable to the Cayenne.

    personally I think that Stelvio has a far worse design than SQ5. The lines in Stelvio are really outdated. It's just that Alfa Romeo had a long period of time where they didn't do anything as far as cars are concerned so people forgot about them and now it looks like something fresh for them. Whereas Audi has released more models and more frequent therefore it's already in your mind so you think it looks boring.

    The 2018 SQ5 is all new and on a new platform. Within 12 months (when the 2019 model comes out) the virtual cockpit and MMI will be outdated/obsolete. This is just unacceptable for a brand like Audi. Audi should have been more transparent and I could have avoided purchasing the vehicle. Only 2019 or newer Audi vehicles will be able to view Google Earth after 2020.
