  • So before trying to crank the jeep, i tackled the leaking transmission. It would have helped if the crossmember was removed but it was managable

    God dam second video On this subject that doesn’t explain how you got the dipstick apart I’m racking my brain trying to get this damn thing separated trying to look on TH-cam for advice and nobody want s to explain how they did it.

      If I remember correctly there is a nut that holds it to the side of the block near where the ground wires. then I just twisted it enough to where I could hammer the little bracket up and it separated from the bottom

    Did you used any glue on the dipstick?

      No just slid it back on

    How hard that dipstick is?

      It’s tight in there but it can be broken loose

    I have the same problem ! Did this stop the leak ?

      Changing the oil pan gasket did fix the leaking just make sure that the surfaces are clean and that the oil pan is nice and straight.
