"If you have 10 of these guys, you're firing...20 strength 8 AP3 missiles" Iron Warrior players need a ciggarette. Feels like Dantioch about to drop the Schadenhold.
@@CloneDAnon You can bring a Praetor (or Delegatus) along and make someone else the warlord. Just being in the list meets the requirements for taking a RoW.
I have started with this edition with Iron Warriors and have been able to beat players much better than myself. Although I've still lost a good number of my games I never thought it was because my list was weak just because of how consistent the army is.
They are all in the PDF... Except Perturabo, that's the only one we get! Sure PDF are still playable, but its not like we wanted to have any in the Libre itself...
I have a suspicion that many units which were kind of nerfed in the PDF will be released later in plastic and when the new edition comes out in 3-4 years, that they will be buffed, for sales. The Medusa and such come to mind.
I reckon why GW nerfed templates/blasts to oblivion. Are due to the fact, (the cynic in me believes) they are going to turn HH into 10th/11th ed. In 3/4 years time. So they use the same rules as 40K. Why else nerf them to high heaven? While buffing already strong weapons/units.
I don't think you can give the shrapnel bolts to a rapier, as it doesn't just have four heavy bolters, it instead has a separately listed quad heavy bolter weapon. Even though the stats would be identical, that isn't one of the weapons listed that can be upgraded. I've run into this issue a lot trying to build my Iron Warriors list actually, all of the twin heavy bolters, combi bolters, etc. that you'd want to give them to don't seem to be eligible for the upgrade, unless I'm missing something. Not sure if it's intentional for balance or just an oversight, but it is kind of annoying.
While I'm still tempted to do an Iron Warriors Tank Company, I'm slowly being tempted more to do Demons. Still got a ways to go before truly considering it tho
I don't know about Tyrants. They should be a very strong unit but have underperformed in every game I have had them out. IW doesn't have problems with vehicles and the Tyrants firepower, especially AP, isn't enough to kill elite units or dreadnaughts. So they are good against basic infantry or mass vehicles. Also WS4 is really bad... Or do I have just bad luck with my opponents squashing my Tyrants with dreadnaughts and 2+ armour units?
So, it's the Sergeant granting them Night Vision! That's the fucker who kept giving my Legion so much trouble! Alright, I know who I'm putting my sniper shots into!
Due to gets hot being at the ap of the weapon, using Bitter Fury with lascannons or meltas Will Just instakill your marines, instead probably the best application of the advanced reaction Is on Siege Tyrants as they get, either 4 shots at strength 8 and ap 3, or 8 shots at strength 4 ap 6 and pinning, in either case they still get their full 2 up save
Hey Macca! Thanks for the vid! Quick question. In HH1.0 Sicaran Venators could take 4 heavy bolters for some strange reason. Is this still possible in 2.0?? With the new profile for the HB, it could be putting out 16 shots!!!
With you mentioning that automata are bad now I assume are they still bad with mechanicum or has GW at least made sure that half the book there won't suck?
@@TheOuterCircle it literally says in the book that only characters can have the mauls and crushers and chosen warriors etc doesn’t actually make them characters
@@danielroberts8049 no, it doesn't make them characters, but I said there are exceptions, such as Dreadnoughts, and Domitar Ferrum which can either upgrade to, or come with said weapons.

Predator squadrons with +1 autocannon against vehicles and pinning heavy bolters are amazingly points efficient.

I can see it now man a 10 man tyrant squad gets shot at by a leviathan and then the leviathan is met with 80 strength 6 shots in return 😂
STR 9 predator autocannons.... it's going to be very strong, though I personally feel dreads and infantry seem much stronger than vehicles now.
