I'm a bit sad Kyr Vhalen and the 77th Grand Battalion don't get a mention. They are some of the loyalist Iron Warriors, probably some of the best known. Probably the dudes who became the Minotaurs, but that's super hard to tell.
Thanks for doing these. Been scratching my head over what models and gear would work well for 30k IW. Would you be able to address the special and heavy weapons upgrades and what legions they work well with? E.g. I assume plasma pairs well with Dark Angels and flamers with Salamanders, but what the differences between volkite calivers and chargers? Should IW lean into heavy bolters?
@@dillonrinehart8319 They didn't get a bespoke set like tyrant siege termies though. Yea I get they're functionally just special better heavy support squads but fw cut basically everything without a model so unfortunately havocs followed.
It only says he has 1 logos array though. Hence why it has 6 attacks. I think it's more so that he can shoot with one of the firing protocol and then use the other to use battlesmith.
Is pinning as useless in 2.0 as it was in 1.0? or do it have something going for it now? Also I suppose we can keep using the current iron havoc rules we have until GW makes new ons?
Wow, I can’t believe they mentioned Medusas in the final rules. I’m very happy! Now gimme my Lightning strike fighter, Achilles Alpha and Caestus assault ram.
Wrack and ruin sounds incredibly strong now and I like the new ar lord traits. Shame about losing the iron havocs and lack of special characters. Iron warriors already had so few to begin with.
I have planned a jet bike IW force force because they are used as aggressive scouting and spotters for artillery (ground and orbital)

Well they are kinda hard, Hazard stripes to get a super clean look takes time even with tape.

I think when everyone gets their Legion supplement these expanded units and whatnot will get full coverage.
