      If you can throw the gems and animal cages in the elevator, can you by reasoning put chests in there to gather even more items? You can also empty the chests in each of the treasure rooms and pick them up. I guess I will have to see on my game.

      @@Crankster409 I bet you could! Would be interesting to see if a crate or treasure chest remains in the mine elevator permanently

    I’d recommend bringing torches for leaving a path so you don’t get lost and have to check the map constantly which this also helps with the light. And bring a few fires in case you run low on health you can kill a croc or devil and cook the meat if your low on food. Also when unlocked get the jack hammer it’ll help a lot getting through the walls in the mines. :) also added bonus you can take the chests you find your treasure in and use them as storage in your town

    The X Icon on Jelly Brew is an XP Boost. Increases experience gain for everything - Hunting, Foraging, Fishing etc for 4 minutes. I use it for Farming - Just drink it before crops are ready to harvest and water + collect them all to hit that lvl 20 Sprinkler milestone sooner 😊✨

    My Deep Mine Tips (maybe little bit more endgame):
    1. Everything you said about preperation and the food
    2. Bring 2 Mining Helmets with you (you need the recharger) or find them down there
    3. A lot of torches to mark the way or to highlight a ruby on the bottom
    4. Your Jackhammer (with wattle Brew a game changer you can walk through the walls in the mine without getting much slower)
    5. Use the Minimap a lot and spend all the time until midnight down there
    6. Maybe bring your motorcycle with you. You can storage endless ruby on it and its easy to find because of the marker on the map. You dont need to get back to the elevator for every ruby. (Dont forget it down there)
    7. With Jackhammer you dont need to fight anything. You can out run everything

      Get the candle hat from Clover's catalogue, it never runs out of light! Although the light is a bit dimmer than the mining helmet so it takes a little time to adapt to spotting that iron ore. Also, quiches are now a better food (double mining bonus) although they only last for 3mins. I tend to take sausage rolls too, for attack bonus, in case I get cornered ;)

    The best thing I've found for deep mining is a fashion hat called Candle Hat. Works exactly like the miner's helmet, but doesn't need recharged. And as far as placing a chest inside the elevator - I tried that and it won't let you.

    Also, drag your money off of your money slot and put your money in a storage box. Never bring your money into the mines, if you die you lose like 20% or so of your money, if its in a storage box you lose none 👍

      Or put it in the bank if you got the bank built, that way it's safe, accessable, and building interest for the day since you won't need it until the next day anyways

    Oh yes, I was unprepared for my deep mine. I only saw briefly about what the mines is about from a stream and it looked harmless, so I just brought keys, extra tools, light, food, etc. And then the first room had a mushroom croc and like 5 bats and then I got killed by an offscreen devil that snuck an attack xD So I didn't went in the mines after that lol. But I think this guide will help me. I should finally make that keg...Definitely scary when unprepared.
    I have seen people with these chests so I think you can break them.

  • @2005Guyver02
    @2005Guyver02 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    01:50 I'd put the almost broken ones in a box to upgrade to an iron one, then do the same with the iron tools till you have a box full.
    If you upgrade a tool from almost gone to the next level you will have a tool at the next level with a full bar, that way it doesn't feel like an expensive upgrade. Then (haven't tried the repair-bench yet, haven't got a full box of iron tools yet) us the repair bench with the kit that costs 30K and fix them all at the same time, at least that's my plan. (That kit is expensive)

    • @FetchQuestsYT
      @FetchQuestsYT  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good point, I see that repair kit from Franklyn but I haven’t tried it out myself yet

    • @goose6752
      @goose6752 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The power tools render the hand tools obsolete; plus the chests in the mines give you plenty of 3rd tier tools and weapons that might be worth repairing if you haven't upgraded to power tools yet (I don't know if repaired tools sell for more than damaged ones). Just be careful not to let your power tools fully de-charge, because they'll break and they're expensive to replace. In the end, the battle shovel from Ted Selly is the only thing your really going to care about repairing; and because of what they cost to buy and the diminishing returns of repairing multiples, having more than 2-6 isn't really going to be cost effective unless you plan on putting a ton of hours into a singe save.

    • @IndyIndie59
      @IndyIndie59 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is how I do it.
      I have several tools at iron level and some still at copper ... plus the shovel which is just base level since I haven't found a way to upgrade it yet. I have a storage chest where I keep my weapons and swap the nearly dead ones for a new one ... then when I am down to nearly the end of the last ones then I put them all in my backpack and do a repair job.
      I am just gathering the last resources for the jack hammer which I will only use in the deep mines because I don't have the charging station yet.

  • @bg6b7bft
    @bg6b7bft ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Tips: Keep your almost-broken tools in a crate. You can save them for the "break a tool" daily quest. They get full durability back when you upgrade them. They sell for decent money.

    Go to the map as soon as you arrive in the mine, and make a bookmark. Then use the minimap to run around and find the treasure keeps. That's all the mine is useful for, because there's plenty of ore above ground refreshed every season..

    I have a candle hat (hat with candle on it lol) and it helps so much in the mines. Infinite amount of light haha

    I just found this vid, so I apologize for "bumping" an older vid.
    If you harvest Mangrove Trees, you can make Torches from them at the Crafting Table. These can be brought down into the Mine with you (bring a bunch) and planted in the ground. So long as they don't get hit during a combat, they'll stay lit and cover an area with light. This also means you can have light while you work, if you haven't found a Miners Hat.
    Others have noted that the Jack Hammer is great for Mining. It helps a lot and the charge lasts a while. It does, however, require a Charging Table to recharge it. If the charge runs out completely, it'll be destroyed, so you do have to watch that.
    The bigger rocks that Joshua called "Jelly Rocks" can be found in the Deserts on the surface, too. They take a few extra hits to break, but generally drop up to 5 items of mixed types, including Copper, Iron, Rock, etc. I've had one drop one of each type and I've had some drop multiple of certain items (ie 2 x Copper, 1 x Iron, 1 x Stone), but it always drops a total of 5 items.

    Great video! As a side note, the British and Aussie word for "flashlight" is "torch". :)

    What is John's "torch" comment all about?!? Simple: what Americans call a 'flashlight' is called a 'torch' in the rest of the English speaking world. And since this is an Aussie game ... it makes perfect sense that there are no 'flashlights'. 🤪

    • @coolersmoke
      @coolersmoke 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes, you can. There's nothing in the mine which is crucial to progression - just a lot of ore and some tasty extras for QoL and convenience!

    • @gabork5055
      @gabork5055 ปีที่แล้ว

      Placing a lot of quarries next to your base is probably way more efficient but the fact mines offer a different experience is part of the fun.
      Haven't tried this yet but i'm guessing planting those glowing mushrooms from the mines in pots might give some free 'torches' so that's always good-good for decoration if you're building something like a highway and need some more 'natural' means of lighting.
      Otherwise the quarries should be enough.
