Finally a decent Tips and tricks video on Dinkum that covered ALOT.
Many other vids with tips on Dinkum told that selling the burried items is a very good money making method, but these items are very crusual for building the late game tools and sprinklers and so on. Selling them is more of a waste because they are harder to obtain and there are many other good ways to earn good money. Very good vid!!!

Fishing is frustrating. Especially with that fish bar on the right side that isn’t showing in this video. Ugh. And then I keep dropping tools. They are laying all over the islands! Good video!

When trapping mobs like Bush Devils, it's good to take advantage of their sleep time to make any special preparations you like to their spawning area before you engage them.
Where there are rocky nests of them you can use you're shovel to seal all the exits so you can poke THROUGH the rocks with a spear and you can even use your flaming bat through them too. Or if they're up on a low cliff you can seal all but one exit and channel them to the cliff edge. If it's low enough you can jump up to strike them and they can't get down nor can they attack you unless you just at the wrong time. If the cliff is a little higher plop some dirt down or use a fence post to stand on. The Fencepost has the greater advantage of them not knowing how to path to you while you're on it. Once everything is set up it will be ready to use every time go trapping! And just think of all the money you'll be making on those Bulletein Board Turn-in requests! Just the other night I made a little over 300K Dinks on Bush Devils alone! As long as the assignment is active you can keep turning them in for the same great reward. The assignment lasts a couple days! So, I cleared the entire island the first day... The next day I quit to the main menu and loaded a fresh new day with fresh respawns and swept the island again ...if I hadn't accidentally killed a few I would've made a lot more money. You can do very well to use the same tactic on Wary Mus. Just doctor it up so the game works for you instead of against you. Because it will...

My current play through I don't have the mines unlocked and I do see iron ore on the map. I think it's tied to your mining level.

Any tips on how to catch bugs? I am playing on a laptop
Sometimes the perception of the bugs are weird. I would suggest moving your camera to the side of you and the bug for better accuracy, that's how I catch bug!

Swing and avoid, best way to kill them is to attack after they attack
