I don't know if you've been in the mines yet, but I'd recommend making a lot of campfires, they are life savers down there. Not only do they light up huge areas, but if you have hostiles walk into them, they catch fire and lower their health nicely giving you a fighting chance; and instant recovery food.

I have recorded/edited a Deep Mines video that will release on Monday. I'll be crafting campfires and bringing them with me next time!
Oh jesus, I figured this out myself but forgot you can stack the damn things. I was just bringing 1 at a time. Derp.
Being able to cook while in the deep mines can save your run! When you get further along, Wattle Brew will become your best friend as it increases the size stamina bar and fills it in!!! 🌟💜🌟
A mangrove tree will yield anywhere between three and seven sticks if you chop the stump out of the ground as well.
Mangrove sticks can be crafted into torches, one stick makes eight torches. Each torch sells for 14 dink, meaning one mangrove stick, converted to torches, yields 112 dink.
Also, torches stack to 999 in one inventory slot, meaning they are a great, cheap way, to light up the mines as you travel.
I know the highlighting a building in your town for a beacon is a good tip. But fletch has those sleeping bag in her tent/office and u can just sleep out in the open and then keep treking back home as well. Don't always have to get back to ur house to sleep. 🤘🏻
Good point, Toasty! I’m too chicken to sleep in the sleeping bag away from home. I have to run back into my house every night 🙈
Level up hunting!
At level 3 you can make a flaming bat. It sets enemies on fire which is useful as you can hit them, then kite them around as they lose health. Crocos take 2 hits to die!
Especially helpful with the bush devils and glowing crocos in the mines.
Chickens like splashing around in the water, too! 🌟💜

Time doesn’t actually start until you get Fletch’s fathers journal. So you can take your time putting down the base tent and your tent (I think).
I’m finally going to start this game tomorrow after spending nearly $1000au on a PC as I haven’t had one for a few years. I’ve been thinking about getting one for a while but this game has tipped me over the edge. So I’ve been watching it pretty closely here on TH-cam. Can’t wait to get started. Thanks for the tips. 👍
Shiny disks are also used in fixing the teleport towers.

wait wtf!? not all maps are the same mine has a big square island in the middle, also DO NOT give the scientist more than 1 disc at a time, if you give him 1 by one at the 3rd trade you unlock a recipe

@@FetchQuestsYT When fishing and you hook a fish it always pulls in a straight line away from you. When fishing in rivers, always cast when facing the other side of the river, don't face downstream, you'll have less distance to reel it in.
In theory in the ocean you can make fishing "lanes" with some terraforming. That might be a cool idea
That’s a super tip right there. I like it: don’t give the fish any room to run away
Quick move on MK is Shift Left Click
the watering tip, u can just hold the button, they will continue to do the watering for u.
To be fair, ocean water would kill the majority of your crops because of the salt xD

You can repeatedly tap the reel button and never lose durability and still pull them in when fishing
Yes!!! Good tip! I had recorded that dialogue but just didn’t keep it in the video-after a while of catching lots of fish that method hurt my hands 😂

Fighting Alpha Devil run I to his face until you stop and spear away his attacks won't hit you. The Alhpa Jack. You can jump over his stomp ae attack. And jump attack to kill jellyfish.
