Early game tip:
Once you get the simple trap, fence off an area and fill it with jackaroos for an easy poo factory.
Fences are also great for combat, because the spear reaches through it pretty far.
Another few tips that have made me a lot of money:
1. If you have a jetski, fishing book, and iron fishing rod, fish really late. It uses so little stamina that I can start at "Late" and completely fill my inventory with barracuda and yellow fin tuna for a whopping 650k - 785k per night and only use 3 cooked quondong for stamina the entire time
2. You can plant regular grass seeds (or even nails believe it or not) and go to sleep. When you wake up, quit to the menu, and go back in to the game and go dig them up. ALL of them will have turned in to treasure items (barrels, containers, amber, etc). I have a fenced area of 200 plots I do this in and I'll never need money or materials again. You can use the tin sheets to make the nails you plant the next time. Planting them seems to be intended but they usually take 7 days to grow. The sleeping, then quitting to menu and restarting is likely a bug though because it causes them to be harvestable instantly
That 2nd tip seems like an oversight, that or dinkum world makes no sense
@@Mario7p It's been patched out of the game recently. I guess that confirms it was not an intended mechanic.
Or you could just play the game regularly, earn stuff by yourself.. actually enjoy the game and stuff
@@jartvv6856 Or you could just play the game the way you enjoy it and let other people play the game the way they enjoy it. Actually accept that not everybody has to behave according to your own personal preferences to be considered as doing it 'right' and stuff.
Sweet video! =) If you don't want to lose any Dinks att all while exploring and fighting, you can just klick on you dinks and store them in an item slot. Then you wont lose any dinks if you die!
Also, to make big Dinks, once you have a boat or jetski, you can roam the ocean at a rain free night to find pearls! They're shimmering and easy to spot in the dark. ;) Keep it up!
I do a lot of trapping about 100k worth daily (double that with a bounty) starting very early in the game -- usually before day 10. The thing I almost never do is fight the animal to lower it's health -- It's rarely necessary and I have other things to do with my time in Dinkum.
Instead I put collection points wherever the animals spawn. They're dirt cheap to make. Set two traps by the collection point and kite the animal in. The second trap is there as a backup. Takes just seconds to lure the animal into a trap and drop it in. Even with basic traps, even with the toughest enemies devils (12k each) and crocs (9.6k each) this works great.
It's very fast money and leaves a lot of daylight for other stuff. And the night is still completely open for fishing and chores.
The biggest downside to trapping is the horrible mailbox experience for collecting the rewards. I don't usually mod games but this is one place I made an exception. The Better Vanilla mod combines all the trapping mails into just two: one for dink rewards and a second for your returned traps. I hope the Dinkum devs make this change to the game, it just makes sense!
I'm new to Dinkum so this may be a glitch in my game or it may be available to everyone. When trapping animals certain ones are just to strong unless they are weakened some what. But recently I found that all animals except Alpha can be trapped and sent automatically. Here is how it works for me. Set you delivery stall or box up near the animals that may cross in that area. For me Crocos near a river. I placed 4 traps two behind the pick up stall and two on the right side of the opening. For some reason it dose not work on the left side of the opening. Get an animals attention and have them chase you or you chase them across one of the traps. This will automatically trap and send the animal off by balloon. I don't know why it works but for me it does. No fighting, no muss. Some days I just get mail with my traps back and dinks as they run across them without me doing anything. Give it a try and let me know how it works out for you. Thanks for all the great videos
With the coconuts. They bring a pretty good price so plant them up for any orchard.
Fishing for barracudas and selling them to Tef Selly are an easy moneymaker. Cooked cactus pear (forgot the name) are also great and hoard them to sell to Jimmy.
Place flower beds or pots on top of bones (not the ones from hunting the animals) for a beautiful surprise! 😍

Actually there called coconut trees or coconut palm lol because technically yes coconuts grow on a type of palm tree however, not all palm tree types grow coconuts 😊 so you’re both right 😊

starter farms are good for 1/2 sugar and 1/2 wheat, use the sugar and flour to sell fairy bread

Excellent video. I knew all of them by the time I saw the video, but I can see how this would have been super helpful when I first started playing.
Just to add about picking up the shells for milestones. The shells are also better kept to be deposited in the compost bin to make fertilizer. It takes up 25 at a time but a great source if you are running low on animal dung. The different shell types take different amounts so it is good to learn which is more efficient.

Shells are great for making fertiliser however it requires 25. I never knew tin sheet can be remelted back to ingots. So you don't actually pass out in the game only stamina shrinks. I could of used the time for crafting or decorating. A lot of farming sims if stay out after 12am or later your character physically passes out. I was using mod to control time. Great tips I never knew.
Thats a great tip about the shells!! Can confirm you don't pass out!!
You can pass out if you use up all your stamina, even during the day. It taught me to pay better attention to when my stamina bar was getting low when I first started playing 🙃If you pass out that way it will knock some durability off your tools and take some gold like it does when you die.
I also use the "Stay up late" feature to get my townsfolk to water crops for me.

When I bring wattle flowers to the keg though, the "insert" option never shows up. The only thing I can use the keg for is jelly. Any ideas why this could be?

honestly, dont sell anything aside from animal meat, and products you make or grow yourself. Everything else is important and is used for crafting

What wrong with just playing the game and solving the puzzles what the rush ? is'nt that the purpose of playing...sorry but i like puzzles and think games and just have fun playing..igot a microwave..but i just use it for chicken tenders , if i what something good i cook it .
