- Mee6, the most hated Discord bot on the platform, has been cooking up a couple of new things. From a massive comeback on Trustpilot to a new feature (that is surprisingly a good thing), will this be the start of Mee6's return to fame?
That's pretty damn optimistic to be honest, it'll be hard for Mee6 to scrap together their very little reputation and build it back up to what it used to be. But if Mee6 keeps releasing features that push Discord as a platform forward, I'll be rooting them on.

the good MEE6 feature you mentioned is actually almost exactly like Botghost's slash command creator. same UI and everything, and the only difference is that botghost doesn't have a shitty paywall last time i used it
last time i remember using botghost they literally forced me to pay after 7 days, hopefully they've improved since then

@@mercy.04 Assuming you were on the old host time system it's changed to paying for a status and some modules (removing BotGhost branding). The funny thing is that you can remake most of the modules in the command builder so the thing you are essentially paying for is the status now.

With the "Good" feature you mentioned I have seen some bots implement similar types of features, (like you mentioned) but as usual not as limited as mee6 lmao

To be honest, I still don't believe in MEE6's change, they'll break everything apart pretty much soon. And besides of that. There are other, better bots than this one.

As someone who is a massive fan of YAGPDB I can guarantee that MEE6 isn't gonna be better. Ease of use, yeah, I can understand that. But with the NFT and AI Art stuff, I don't think I'll ever be using it anytime soon.

@@PlayfulDoggy with the constant problem I see throughout many servers where I see people claiming obvious AI made art as their own (some even specifying it wasn't) I believe it's a problem. I'm not gonna speak further than that.

Well good to see that mee6 finally did something useful.. you should make a video someday about scratch for discord, it's a really useful tool to create custom discord bots without coding!
There's also red-discordbot which is based in python, but it's modular and doesn't require any coding

@@notaplic8158 That's also an great option, But scratch for discord is the best no-code bot maker for building it from the ground up. It depends more or less on what you prefer.

42 has less gui stuff, but is pretty much close to YAGPDB in terms of power, and is just as free.
The Mee6 move is a case of "good for the industry, but bad for the small bot devs" imo, because small-time devs are going to be too busy doing other things.

I've been recomending YAGPDB to everyone for the past 4 years yet no one listened cause it was too complicated. Finally someone understands how good that bot is. It looks very basic but is extremely powerful.
Maybe it's worth learning complicated things if you don't want to pay extra, heh.

YAGPDB is genuinely my favourite bot. It can do so many things, I've seen servers create shops where you can buy roles and perks using player xp and chat-generated economy and lootboxes with it. It's absolutely insane.
I swear every server I join has your automated responses and commands. Are you secretly building an army of bots to rule the online world? If so, can I join?

Nadeko bot had automations for years now and it has way more options for those since u can do whatever... plus its open for self host and everything so meh still not really happy with how many people seems to prefer mee6 if its not even a good bot

I have to admit I enjoy mee6 bashing but are there good alternatives out there? Are there any good selfhosted ones out there? I wouldn't care getting my hands dirty as long as it's a good and sane bot... Point of selfhosting is really that this bot usually has a ton of permissions which usually leads to the infamous 'what if things go wrong' question...

Yeah, those reviews seem fake, I have watched certain videos talking about scam products, and it's very common for anything with fake reviews to have 4.7 star rating

YAGPDP looks like what you would do when programming a bot in javascript.
MEE6 looks like a children's version of that.... but with yet another cashgrab.

If Mee6 had a successful management, they would have focused on functional features so that they would totally become a Best-of-Suite Solution for casual server owners.
