    "Just because the person is angry does not mean the conversation is over." I highly value his mindset ❤🧠

      @Pink Guy, It's the effect of software stabilization. Without it the camera would be swaying in all directions probably making you nauseous. The alternative to that is what you see here, which is in most cases a better option.

      I disagree. He's not a "better person" here. If anything he's not near to his potential here. Think of what he's faced since then..

    yes, JP is right...it's deeper than conciousness...
    tears come rarely out of me ,,when it happens it's this time when I see my mother,,she is the most whom I trusted...
    tears sometimes are frustration when someone can't deliver and/or prove a feeling or belief,,such as trust or friendship...
    it's just the kid inside each of us ...

  • @eneveasi

    crazy that he basically summed up the most major problem between party politics at the end of describing what goes wrong in conversation

  • @junevandermark952
    @junevandermark952 ปีที่แล้ว

    Let's be honest ... we all want people to agree with our own opinions. And that is why we hang out with those that we are inclined to refer to as being "agreeable."

  • @johngraves2417
    @johngraves2417 5 ปีที่แล้ว +29

    That evaluative tendency happens SO much now it's ridiculous. People don't have conversations anymore. They have a paragraph

    • @Alex-ns9wk
      @Alex-ns9wk 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Can you please explain what you mean? Like that people just stay where they came from in a conversation?

    • @johngraves2417
      @johngraves2417 5 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      @@Alex-ns9wk Yeah did you watch the video, Peterson explains it better than me. Pretty much yeah you only stay in the conversation long enough to determine the other person is what you assume they are, then write them off as stupid and walk away. There's no trying to determine what makes them think that way.

      I see it like this I feel like . ? I hope you find someone to converse with . I have been in a rut before, all it takes is one word to a receptive ear. Try to hear everything said to you. Some folks say a lot without opening their mouth. Good luck I wish you well. Be BOLD!

    The Cha'n Buddhists and Taoists have a wonderful way to respond... they call it 'Wu Wei' or 'no calculated action' and just allow phenomena to pass by.

      My ex: I love you more than anybody I just don't want to be with you.
      Me: Okay. Can you tell me why?
      My ex: Asking me that is completely disrespectful! Why are you such an asshole? *runs away to her parents in a different city on a different land mass without a word to any of her friends*
      -4 months later-
      My ex: I'm so sorry for my behavior. You really are an amazing person. What I've learned of respect and love from you has actually fixed a lot of the problems I've had with my family for years. I love you and want you in my life; just not as my boyfriend.
      Me: I'm so glad you're mending relationships with your family. We can totally start hanging out again.
      My ex: I don't want any of our friends to know I'm spending time you again though.
      Me: ....umm..... why?
      My ex: I dunno.
      Me: ..... I feel like I'm just being used to fill the role of boyfriend without you having to actually have any commitment or responsibility towards your partner. I'd like to be your friend but I think the sex and romance part of our hangouts should stop.
      My ex: I'm sorry you feel that way
      I love you and always will but I think we shouldn't be friends. This is the last you'll ever hear from me.

    We women often burst into tears against our will; research shows it's a hormonal thing. We HATE it, because 1. we get accused of deliberately doing it, as if we're being manipulative (maybe a few women actually are, but I've never met anyone like that). 2. The uncontrolled tears appear on the job as well, interacting with bosses; which is hella embarrassing and unprofessional. Particularly at certain times of month these tears can be virtually impossible to prevent via an act of will. Tears can start from our eyes even when we're actually feeling angry, just purely angry. Men get to show up as angry, but we women often show up as weak or manipulative, but it's HORMONAL. SO frustrating to be misjudged and misread!!

    I would like you to post the specific link, the link you posted above just goes to to JP channel but not to the specific video. Thanks for posting by the way but something psychedelic is happening with your video. JP goes from being fat to thin to tall and it's a bit nauseating and I'm hoping the original will be better.

    Unconditional Positive Regard is indeed True Love, anything else is Emotional or Psychological Blackmail or Extortion, what the Moors Murderers, Myra Hindley had for Ian Brady couldn't have been anything other than Unconditional Positive Regard, or the case of Mothers who in her eyes their child can do no wrong, it's always someone else's fault.

    Gotta stay? Says who?

    • @reececox666
      @reececox666 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Kiréalta says nobody but if you don’t attempt to stay then you aren’t working to form a relationship you just are waiting for one to fall in your lap. It’s lazy and it only works sometimes. Of course there are situations to leave and he points that out by saying there are things people can do that will make you not love them.

    This guy has some, let's say 'romantic' ideas about political radicals. A radical right winger would say that people with less success deserve being treated like animals, because they are basically animals. The biggest reason why humans play such a special role compared to other animals on earth is exactly their intelligence. And as Peterson says himself, intelligence is the biggest factor in success.

    • @yag0d
      @yag0d 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Peterson has never said that intelligence is strongly correlated with success to the point that it can predict it, because, although it is correlated, it is not as correlated as the personality trait conscientiousness, which can be used in predicting success rate.
      And -- just an opinion of mine, if I'm allowed -- I don't think people will like you very much if you really treat them as just animalistic bodies with no value except for their cognitive ability, to the extent that even some basic error on their part is seen as travesty.
