GOsh they deliver the lines SO well "I'll just imagine shes you" scene is one of my favorites.
I love that chuck calls her out on being unfair. I mean, he's supposed to tell her how he feels but she wouldn't do the same? Uh hell no.
I can’t totally blame Blair for being scared because of Chuck’s reputation. As a character, she’s deeply insecure. She tells Dan that despite loving Chuck, she’s afraid she’ll just become another girl to him after saying it.
He never told her though. He “chases” her buy trying to dethrone her and never said I love you 😂 it’s crazy that he thinks she will say it.

I really thought they were going to have Chuck ditch Blair for Vanessa, like an after school special moment. But I just find it hilarious that instead Chuck pieced together that Blair sabotaged her own plan to get him to sleep with her. He didn’t even shy away from it, and instead turned the tables on her. This is the moment when I think Blair realized the depth of her own feelings. The moment she doesn’t say “I love you,” and he pulls away, you see how badly she wanted him.
The first three scenes of this episode always reminds of the Cruel Intentions movie.

Absolutely loved that show but at one point I mainly watched it only because of Chuck and Blair- the golden couple of the show. I honestly felt that they had their own bubble, a world of their own and they had an AMAZING chemistry and a great relationship development :-) loved their journey from season 1 till the end in season 6. However it's a shame that after season 2 the writers got a bit lazy with the writing. Season 3 was different than 1&2- interesting enough to watch but also marked the beginning of the show going downhill. I kinda expected something else since season 3 and it just went all wrong with some really bad storylines (not all of them) some I just disliked, some were delusional and some I absolutely hated like the one when Blair dated Dan-I completely deny that one. I think that some of lessons the characters had to learn could have been delivered in different ways.
I actually like the later seasons too. Although I agree about Blair and Dan not working at all, I think the writers had a difficult job of keeping the chemistry going between the actors for 22-24 episodes a season. That’s why the show would occasionally spin its wheels, but I still enjoy it. It ends in a good place, with Chuck and Blair together, and that’s all that matters to me.

He’s sad about the bar. But he’s also confused because he thought Blair hated him. He just realized she was jealous of Vanessa, and that’s why she was willing to go to those lengths.

You know so far in this rewatch, I am realizing it’s not just Chuck that’s making the situation toxic. I originally thought Chuck was crazy and noncommittal until he changes after season 3. But in reality Blair definitely deserves some of the heat. I mean from the moment they’ve slept together, she has basically rejected him. She’s all like “Your disgusting and a degenerate! The idea of being with you makes my skin crawl.” That’s just not the best reaction for a guy that already hates himself. The first girl that he genuinely liked thinks he is a disgusting monster. And all she wants to do is get back with golden boy Nate. He will try and be genuine at first and she would reject him pretty harshly, that’s really is what makes him a toxic psycho (not excusing his behavior AT ALL. He’s still crazy). So then he starts scheming and manipulating, which only drives Blair further away from him. Anyway by the end of season 1, it’s honestly no surprised he ghosts her! Not because he’s Chuck Bass and a commitment phobe. But because he hates himself, and Blair has made it abundantly clear that she finds him repulsive most of the time. So the prospect of spending the summer together was horrifying. Yes, the girl he loved finally gave him a chance, but she can easily be in relationship with him and realize remind herself why she thinks he’s disgusting, and that would break him. So he’d rather just give it up.
And while I totally totally understand Blair’s side. Chuck is a degenerate…. She has no reason to trust him, but the way she treats him is not okay. Like at minimum this is supposed to be her friend. Like if she really feels the way she be talking, then stand on business and stop being friends with the dude. But that’s her friend! And she never seemed to have a kind word to say about him. She never gave him any indication that she actually likes him as a person. That she actually enjoys his company. She certainly would never admit that she likes him and wants to be with him. So she will pimp him out to Vanessa, then backtrack when her feelings got in the way. Just to pretend that it is all a game to her. Chuck wants to hear those words because he has nothing to hold on to either. He also has no reason to trust Blair. I mean she’s been the one doing most of the rejecting at this point, and she talks crap about him all the time. So yeah, I’ve definitely understanding their dynamic a little better.
Vaness is pretty but with the earlier season the styles really did not know how to do her hair… poor girl!

people are saying this couple is messed up and I'm like that's the point these are two very messed up individuals that fell in love and when you bring two people like that together it causes chaos and destruction because they are attracted to the messed up parts in each other an they are the only ones that can understand and are ok with what the other does if blair were to meet a guy and tell him all about the horrible things she did to people i can tell you that guy wouldn't stick around to see if she was worth falling in love with hell why do you think nate left he thought he could change her but when he couldn't he left. chuck is the only one who understands those parts of her and accepts them and blair is the only one who excepts those parts of chuck and yes they do horrible things to each other but they also see the good parts in each other that no one else sees they can see right into each others souls and that's why they love each other because when chuck looks at blair he doesn't see this flawed horrible person he just sees her and she doesn't see the broken damaged boy who is worthless so yea maybe they are toxic together but they are also toxic apart and nobody can understand them better than each other they compliment each other and its not like they haven't matured over time and become more adult like they were children in the first few seasons and that's just how they showed their feelings lol I'm done ranting now

@@nevinj6569 in the end of the day, they loved each other so much and they never felt that way about anyone else,that's what matter the most. They are such a messed up individuals,so what could you expect. But through all bad events that happened beetween them,they've actually matured and learned how to love and respect each other. They have this special connection and bond that is fascinating,not to mention how passionate and full of chemistry their relationship is.
