i don't think she acted on her emotions because of the sire bond. as she says under compulsion "i didn't sleep with damon because of the sire bond, i slept with him because im in love with him" the writers were intentional to show that this was an entirely consensual act. the sire bond is only truly shown when he really pushes an idea on her, or orders her to do something.

That’s a complete lie, Stefan always loved her, he just decided not to care anymore and was tired of it. When Elena was human she chose him, but becoming a vampire changed her. Klaus getting staked replaces the argument Elena and Matt had at the bonfire. Klaus literally has their life and future mapped out because he sired their bloodline, so they're all gonna die. The moment Klaus got staked, it was no longer about what Elena wanted for her future, but about saying goodbye. Stefan, Tyler, and Caroline take the place of Jenna and the Gilberts. Elena shows this when she toasts to their Klaus-free life in the previous episode. at 2:40 i just realized something. part of why elena felt she had to choose stefan is because whomever she chooses directly affects the livelihood of her friends-if she chose damon at that point (where she doesn't have vamp abilities to defend people) he would have let her friends die to save her. a vampire loving a human is dangerous when that vampire will use all his powers to keep her alive when her life is constantly in danger. she says 'that's what i thought' like she was considering this when she made the choice on the bridge. she chose stefan for moral reasons, not out of the heart. she doesn't want to allow damon to love her because she loves her friends (why she mentions them when she chooses stefan), and that's why she also won't allow herself to love him.

You know what I find kinda hilarious and interesting about the love triangle? In the beginning, we were led to believe that it was always supposed to be Stefan as her love. Later on though in season 5, we learn that Stelena's whole basis for the reason they were drawn to one another in the first place was due to a curse the witch Quetsiyah cast upon Silas and Amara...who were the original versions of the doppelgangers. Yet despite this, Delena eventually fell in love more naturally. So in actuality, this makes me think that really Stelena are more of a curse because it just seemed so forced to me from the beginning...and Delena were really meant to be together. Like, I didn't care for Stelena much but when I witnessed Stefan with Caroline later on, I felt the same natural build-up of love with them that I saw happen with Delena.

Bonnie and Matt tried to help Elena work through her feelings in an honest way. Elena was only confused because of Stefan and Caroline. at 2:40 i just realized something. part of why elena felt she had to choose stefan is because whomever she chooses directly affects the livelihood of her friends-if she chose damon at that point (where she doesn't have vamp abilities to defend people) he would have let her friends die to save her. a vampire loving a human is dangerous when that vampire will use all his powers to keep her alive when her life is constantly in danger. she says 'that's what i thought' like she was considering this when she made the choice on the bridge. she chose stefan for moral reasons, not out of the heart. she doesn't want to allow damon to love her because she loves her friends (why she mentions them when she chooses stefan), and that's why she also won't allow herself to love him.
Yes! And also Damon compelled her when they met for her to get everything she wanted at that moment in her life = everything Stefan provided
They always made my man out to be so evil and awful. But honestly , atleast he could control himself . Unlike Stefan who couldn’t drink on someone without killin them.
Damon was pure he just needed someone to love him fully! Elena saw him thats why he loved her and never stopped. Elena didnt fake it with him she fully understood him! Thats how he fell inlove with her! Witch is also why he couldnt live witout her as well. I saw the series and I could see he love for life was elena. Yes he loved Stefan and all but his true meaning was elena.
I am sure you didn't watch the series to the end because you will see that Demon is the most stupid and heartless in this movie, i don't even like Stephen and Elena together I prefer Katherine or Caroline with Stephen

You know what I find kinda hilarious and interesting about the love triangle? In the beginning, we were led to believe that it was always supposed to be Stefan as her love. Later on though in season 5, we learn that Stelena's whole basis for the reason they were drawn to one another in the first place was due to a curse the witch Quetsiyah cast upon Silas and Amara...who were the original versions of the doppelgangers. Yet despite this, Delena eventually fell in love more naturally. So in actuality, this makes me think that really Stelena are more of a curse because it just seemed so forced to me from the beginning...and Delena were really meant to be together. Like, I didn't care for Stelena much but when I witnessed Stefan with Caroline later on, I felt the same natural build-up of love with them that I saw happen with Delena.

Has anyone noticed that Elena starts developing a baby face half of the season four when with Damon. Its also like she kind of acts like a baby, toddler, adult. For example 20:24, 23:00, 24:41, 27:08, 28:46, 30:50, 31:28, and 33:44. Season 4 was all her cutie moments 😊

Bonnie and Matt tried to help Elena work through her feelings in an honest way. Elena was only confused because of Stefan and Caroline. They kept pushing her to remain in a love triangle because they put their feelings above hers. Elena isn't falling in love with Damon, she's already in love with Damon. She was falling in love with him in season 3... and I dare say she was ready to break up with Stefan in 3x22. She chose to wait until later because he was leaving her house to go face Alaric, and she just got done telling him that every time someone walks out of her house, there's a chance they won't make it back home. I consider the sire bond Damon's birthday gift. That's why he doesn't technically get a birthday. Only Elena, Caroline, and Stefan do. Elena is desperate to make him happy because Damon should be happy on his birthday. It plays well off her birthday.
