Most toxic men are known to project their toxic behaviors and use it as a coping mechanism to feel better. These men are highly gripped in explicit content that utterly brainwashes their mind, I believe we can learn better from "Thick thighs, more friends, waist to hip ratio to level attractiveness" we are living in a society where men are completly obsessed with female features. Hence, this leads to the escalating numbers of sexual abuse and violence. Men should also accept the fact that, they can't always have their way.

I love this format, would love to see Dr. K with other well educated people, e.g Dr Mike. They've had a podcast recently where they talked about medicine practice which was great
Or other popular controversial people like Andrew Tate or Jordon Peterson, as you know dr.k will keep it respectable, and will bridge a discussion between two viewpoints which is really missing these days, with everyone living in algorithms adhering to their own echo chamber.

This format forces me to critically think about both sides of the argument which is very engaging. However, it lacks the structure and tight narrative progression of the standard format which is a winning formula. While this is a superior format for critical thinking and is more nutritious for our minds, it will most likely get fewer views and engagement. Perhaps a middle ground can be found by prepping guests with stricter guidelines so tangential arguments can occur but don't stray too far from the main theme. Grouping themes in the timestamps may help too.

As a woman I already don't like both women starting points. Adult films helping to explore ourselves might be true for their generation, but mine (now in their 20s) feels completely different in our experiences. We already know women can orgasm, masturbate etc., we are exposed to both male/female attention from very young age and overall figuring out our sexuality isn't that big of a deal - you're not gonna shock anyone by being gay or being into rough play.
What really concerns me is men of my age having unrealistic expectations in sex from women and from themselves too. So much stuff from porn is giving this anxiety in building relationships, it'd be too long to describe everything. My first bf told me he liked me because I resembled his favourite porn actress! I felt so uncomfortable and it ruined all the feelings I had... Something about porn that messes up people.

This. Of course having access to this outlet can be stress reducing and taps into a natural urge of people. But with being so ever present and accepted and available and extreme, a lot of men who overconsume it then need and ask similar acts from their real life partners. And no, a lot of stuff in porn is not acceptable to women or done willingly. In fact a lot is plain violence, is painful, demeaning and the opposite of erotic to women. But consuming such extreme content of course cannot be left in that sphere and bleeds into real life. Where women are not paid for doing uncomfortable things with their partners, but are now pressured to believe they should want to do this anyway. This is the main point. Not empowerement or body image or comparison. Expecting women to accept or even want to be subjected to acts of demeaning violence.
And it thus makes men lonelier in the long run. Because with such expectations and needs: good luck finding a hurt soul who wants to be hurt even further.

Men don't give 2 shits about women's pleasure, they just take, it doesn't matter how much you discuss the fact that you have needs too and you deserve pleasure too. If your fat or ugly and have no options in real life what do you do? I feel like they (both the experts on this podcast and society by and large) are talking about this from one single point of view and pretty much disregard most people out there. Not everyone can be in a "healthy" relationship, there's aren't that many healthy people out there so of course most relationships are shit.

Yes, porn and "death grip" applies to both men and women - over stimulating of the mind and genitals (with hands, toys) means sex with a partner will nowhere near be as stimulating.

Most women love and want to be in relationships with men-and if our lovely men are struggling, that worries and upsets us. We do actually CARE about men, amazingly enough!! Just because it's not great for men doesn't mean most women don't benefit from porn. Let's face it, men by and large don't give a shit about their women's pleasure and they never or rarely pleasure their women partners. I am a single celibate woman who is done with selfish men. I've wasted too much time already on giving men chances only to always get the same stupid selfish behavior. The LEFT is doing this for 20 years and in the last 4 years, full throttle. why? Because people are easier to control on lower levels. This is also true of lower developed religious cultures like islam. One may ask why the left is importing muslims all over the world which is a bit strange, they are ultra conservative.... but seems all the left really cares about is division ( men vs women, religion vs religion, black vs white, poor vs rich etc.) to rule.

You are an unpredictable factor in your partners life. They didn't see you coming. You didn't see them coming. Meaning y'all didnt know when y'all would meet each other let alone be with each other. As a woman (59 /female/ recent widow/ married since 24 yrs old) who watched porn with my husband in our relationship… I realized (much too late) that porn definitely had a hugely negative impact on my husband’s brain. We watched it together and had a wonderful sex life … but what I didn’t know and came to find out about five years ago , that my husband became wildly addicted to porn and was watching it from sunrise to sunset , secretly. And the genre of porn we watched together was NOT what he was watching alone . He had leaned into the “under 18 “ videos and that’s not what we watched together. Any free moment he had during his day, he was on his phone , on his computer… seeking out pornography

I don’t see the problem in a “yes, and…” perspective. Can adult film industry lead to addiction, reality distortion, physical problems? Yes. And it can be beneficial for others, when consumed and produced responsibly. Like Dr. K said… it’s not an either/or answer…

Our forefathers learned about sex by marrying young and just experimenting with their spouse.
Today we are being taught by the 'invisible hand' and what we think is normal, it was absurd to our forefathers.
In contrast, our forefathers had a lot of sex with just one partner, and we have little sex with multiple partners.

The "many people who use it fine without an issue" do not struggle with the current loneliness epidemic and use it extremely sparsely. THIS IS CHANGING THOUGH.
Because a lot of men, even in relationships, are beginning to get more addicted. Because the stuff that is being produced begs your attention for far longer and the sites are built like social media websites. And we acknowledge social media addiction.

Totally agree. I say this as someone in a LTR : It is difficult for me as a woman to compete with the porn or pornographic imagery found online. Sure, porn does not remove the desire for real sex, but it DOES compete for attention, energy and time spent. No matter how I try to stay in shape and be fun and all that, I can't completely change looks every 24 h. I can never compete with the variety of porn. Thus, I feel incredibly frustrated any time my SO isn't interested because he already satisfied that desire looking at some other girl. It doesn't just affect the bedroom, it also changes how motivated he is to do things for me and the relationship.
I used to feel pretty neutral about porn, but now I just hate it. Even if my SO isn't an "addict" it is undeniable that his porn (or instagram, in that sense) affects our relationship negatively.

We've all got them, but statements like "everybody should pay for their porn" are wild. She can run her business however she likes, there are plenty of people that will pay for her films, but if an OnlyFans creator wants to post clips from their page in an effort to build an audience and sell to them, that's entirely their choice. If Bellesa House (similar concept to Erika's films, choosing their costars, etc) wants to make free content, they can absolutely do that. Just feels as though she's waiting (or in some cases, not waiting) to respond, defend herself, defend porn, instead of actually being part of the conversation.

I am going to share something that might be highly unpopular: men are not as strong as my father's generation, or his father's generation. There are lots and lots and lots of contributing factors to this. dont blame porn. blame our abuse to nature. humans are exploiting wildlife and forcing animals and plants to suffer in domestication where they are genetically altered, lack natural selection, and have no reproductive rights.
these issues are causing humans to have impaired thinking skills and blame the wrong stuff.

The way Dr Alok validates the women on the panel and then comes to a total different conclusions needs to be studied, this could have easily turn into gender debate on pornograph but he stirred it away by simply not engaging.

It’s refreshing to see the overwhelming majority of this comment section on the same page. To argue the case FOR porn is insanity.
There’s so much wrong with pornography and its role in our culture today, I have no idea where to even start that conversation. Props to this host for attempting to tackle a subject of this magnitude.
