      I agree about the product. The video itself could be better, though, as I feel it's a little too rushed.
      Thanks for listening!

      @@eiden1665 the video is perfect as it is, I already have The essentials (jumped out of my chair to buy as soon as I got mail of it)
      But like, the video you made perfectly conveys how it feels to use it and how it sounds.
      So I'd say job well done mate!

    Very nice! Other than the dynamics we see in the video, is there anything else you did to the instruments? (Or it is mostly out of the box?)

      Sorry that it took me so long. I must have totally missed your comment somehow.
      Apart from EQing out some frequencies on the timpani and some light Limiting on the Master Out, it are all out of the box sounds. I used the EQ and Reverb Presets though, that are available in the mixing page of The Orchestra Essentials.
      Hope this information was still usefull to you and have a fantastic day!

    Now that over a year has passed, would you still consider this to be a good plugin for beginners who just got rid of their free orchestral libraries and are starting to get serious about scoring, or would you recommend a more expensive one?

    • @eiden1665
      @eiden1665  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Personally, I still think, that I’d have liked it as my starter library.
      It’s got all the basic instruments and articulations that make up your mainstream orchestra. It's also light on your computer’s resources. Of course, a few instruments and articulations are missing, like soloists or legato patches. And the Tubular Bell sadly still sounds like a Violin.
      The Orchestrator is a nice feature to see how the instruments work together. If you want to learn orchestration though, I’d recommend a book on this topic.
      One thing I learned is to not spend too much on samples. A good composition will sound good with pretty much any library, and vice versa.
      If you like the sound of “The Orchestra Essentials”, then go for it. You can always upgrade to “The Orchestra Complete” later. If not, I’d take a look at something else.
      By the way, if you plan on getting it at BestService, I’d recommend to wait a few days, since they usually have their 2for1 Easter-Sale coming up shortly.
      Hope this helped and I wish you lots of fun composing!
      Edit: They fixed the Tubular Bells. They now sound like they should.

    Is it possible to export the indvidual MIDI instruments from The Orchestra Essentials?

    • @eiden1665
      @eiden1665  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, if you're talking about the Midi Drag and Drop function, it's not available in the Essentials version.
      You can still take a look at the engine and recreate it yourself though.

    • @TheMicrofox
      @TheMicrofox 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@eiden1665 So what's the purpose of this engine, if I have to recreate everything from scratch manually in my DAW? That's nonsense. Unfortunately I have already bought it.😠

    • @eiden1665
      @eiden1665  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Robert Fuchs Personally I see it more as a tool to quickly underscore a melody or to get a feel for what style might be fitting. As this is the Essentials version I feel like this one is geared more towards beginners, who just want to get good sounding results and don't care much about editing. I agree that the Midi Drag Drop would be nice, but they (Sonuscore) probably left this to the Complete version, to justify the higher price for that one.
      Also, don't forget that you can still use the orchestra colours as well as the single instruments without the engine (especially the The Evil Brass is great imo).
      If you're not happy with it, you could send them an email and ask if they'd take it back (although I doubt it).

    I hope someone can help me with my problem.
    I purchased The "Essential" Series of Sonuscore-Orchestra and now want to create different tracks like shown here. So how do i get the different sounds out of the 1 .nki ?
    What i mean is, i want to create several MIDI-Tracks that trigger different Presets in this one .nki
    IN this video, it seemed like you build your own template. But i don't get how i get the individual sounds out of it.
    i use Cubase LE Elements 11.

    • @eiden1665
      @eiden1665  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, you might want to take a look at the manual www.sonuscore.com/guests/manuals/TOE_Manual_EN_1.0.pdf (part 2 should be what you're looking for). Other than that, I created a new Kontakt instance for each individual sound, loaded up the nki file and chose a preset I liked (as shown in the manual).

    • @Tomminger
      @Tomminger ปีที่แล้ว

      @@eiden1665 Hey, thank you for your answer. Yes, basically i thought there is a way not to load the nki-file like 8 times into Kontakt and choose every preset i want to for my project.
      But i guess thats the only way. :-)

    How did you get the instruments in your daw?

    • @eiden1665
      @eiden1665  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Have you already checked out this page: support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/209569769-How-to-Insert-Native-Instruments-Plug-ins-in-Cubase
      If Kontakt isn't available you might want to check your VST Plugin Manager: steinberg.help/cubase_pro_artist/v9/en/cubase_nuendo/topics/installing_and_managing_plugins/plugin_manager_window_r.html
      Make sure Cubase knows in what folder it's supposed to look for the plugins.
      Hope this works out for you.
