Gym Leader Challenge: Ep. 1- Getting Rocked by Roxanne

Im back with a brand new pokemon challenge for Emerald version rules listed below!
This is my quest to become the greatest gym leader of all time. Each gym I beat makes me the new gym leader in that city, but just like other gym leaders, I'm limiting myself by type! Ususal Nuzlocke rules apply with these slight changes.
Starter pokemon determines the pokemon type or types I can use.
Due to narrowed list of usable pokemon, I can only catch 1 pokemon per route as usual, but I can search the grass until if or when I find that pokemon type.
1 item limit per battle except vs. gym leaders where 2 may be used.
