You are an impressive young man where you’ve learned your mechanics from at such a young age. It’s absolutely incredible people say you’re silver spooned fed. I don’t think you would be up to your elbows in grease !!! there is no question. You should be proud of yourself. You come across as being a good person. I hope your next one is 100 footer keep being you boss.
This type of guy and his sweet positive attitude and hard work ethic is how America became great. This is the DNA of the USA. Self taught guy with focus and a sharp mind. 10000000% respect.
Magnificent attitude had 53 ft. Rybovivh 1967, feel like I'm back in the engine with my detroits, I'm 83 now and living in the UK you are fantastic, and also have a great smile and a change in attitude Cheers
I’ve known Kip for years, he’s always doing the right thing, the right way, for the right reasons. Can’t ask for a better guy to help you out, doesn’t hurt he owns a full service marina. All around great guy.
There isn't a thing on youtube that I'd watch 2 hours of with the exception of "InTooDeep". You give off the most positive vibes on youtube. Keep Posting!!!
You do some gnarly jobs Gus. Replacing all the heads, head hoses and head pumps ranks at the bottom of appealing jobs. I hope you bought the Broward for a song, because you have repaired/replaced almost all major systems -- electrical, plumbing, most engine pumps and systems, corroded major parts, not to mention vast amounts of cosmetic work. You are a man possessed at the yard -- working long into the evening to finish jobs. Your boss seems like a really talented guy, you are lucky to be able to learn from him. Thanks for a wonderful video.
Anybody who calls you A silver spoon boy has not been paying attention... Just keep working hard and your stuff and you'll do fine in Life.... I always said when I was growing up there wasn't anything I couldn't fix And I always fixed everything that I own ...You learn how to fix it when you take it apart....... Way to go keep Way to go keep up the good work
Gus, you are a beast! Working your ass off to chase your dreams! I am 58 and disabled and I live vicariously through your videos and adventures. You never cease to amaze me and you make your own way through this life without the help of parents, or a trust fund or anything resembling assistance. A little help from your good friends and you are your own man. You should hold your head up high brother. I can't believe you have your truck license and hauled that huge boat and your mechanic skills are nothing but impressive. I'm not trying to stroke your ego, you are an amazing guy! I wish my two sons would take a page from your life and do half as well as you are. I'm glad you made this video. I've been wondering what you have been up to. A hell of a lot apparently lol. I'm so looking forward to your adventure in your new big yacht! You've already put so much work into her and so much more to follow! I'll try to support you in Patreon. My wife may scalp me but it's all good! Keep up the fantastic work and your videos are fantastic!
I can’t believe anyone ever accused you of being “trust fund” kid. It’s jealousy. Your work ethic is unmatched. I really enjoyed this video and seeing your relationship with Kip. There’s a lot of mutual respect there and it shows.

There is nothing this man can’t do!!! For somebody that young he certainly has a good head on his shoulders. It’s such a pleasure to watch your videos. 💯💯
Best TH-cam channel. This channel could serve as a motivational tool for the younger generation. Work hard, work harder, play hard, work hard, work harder, work even harder, play hard. Cheers and thanks for another great video.
Your positive attitude and cheerfulness are infectious. I’m never going to boat or sail but I am here for the adventure. Safe travels, fair weather and following seas
I am in this world (legal, DC, music) and I have commented *numerous* times on his channel.... he needs to stop with copyrighted music over 30 seconds! I love it, too, but, he's going to get hit with a massive fine if he keeps doing it! (I have seen Feds bankrupt about 10 bars/clubs here for it. I just want you safe, buddy!!)
I totally agree with others here, you are amazing in every way. I am a retired property maintenance mechanic, and I've just about done it all, like you there. Your ethics and the way you make good repairs are very much respected by your viewers. Boats and planes both demand excellent workmanship and, top notch timely repairs, but they are so beautiful when it's all done right. Be safe always, above all, and keep up the great adventure.
Im sat here on my Danish Jupiter 40 in the UK, rain and 55 knot winds outside, diesel heater kicking out glorious heat and just seen i have a 2 hour intoodeep video to watch 🎉Good times
Gus, your attitude towards fixing things and technical problems is inspiring! You just laugh them away and get things done. Me fixing things: swear a lot, procrastinate and give up.
What a great video! Somehow the algorithm recommended me one of your videos a couple months ago. Your videos inspired me to buy a 23 ft cruiser to take my family out and around the San Juans.
Doing the Brightwork on her has to be so rewarding! Linseed oil on the rails is so nice and very easy to maintain. Congratulations on the new Beautiful yacht. I love your " geter done " attitude, you will go far in life !
Have you tried linseed oil on the rail instead of using lacquer? It requires a little work oiling it every so often but I think it would be easier to oil it instead of having to go through replacing the varnish and lacquer.

I totally appreciate the Kip content in this one. I'm sure you're doing this already, but I have to reinforce it nonetheless... Be a sponge around guys like Kip. And, don't only learn the skills, learn the work ethic. Love the content Gus! Cheers, Sev
New title for the video “Gus fixes the world” your ability to diagnose and properly repair anything as well as improvise and think on your feet is very impressive.
1 I've checked every day for a new video, 2 you could literally make videos of your weekly task I'm sure most of us would watch could make you some extra money. Just a thought. Love the video as always.
Your living my dream- I never bought a yacht even though I lived on a 42' Carver for a year and a half. I am a licensed Marine Engineer w/ 40 years sea going experience. I want a yacht- yours is beautiful. You seem to have a handle on the repair side of things- congrats- love your podcast- Don
Gus - please add a super-thanks so I can pay for such awesome entertainment! You made my Saturday evening and I would tap that thing and pay for my enjoyment. 🎉
Man Gus when I'm frustrated and about to quit while working on my 4x4 , boat, or project car your videos inspire me to push through and figure it out.....and go buy and fix more rides! Good stuff brother
I think what you should do is cut your videos in half and send them out a couple days or weeks apart. I love your channel and want you to make lots of money so you can do and travel even more. Love the videos. keep it up
Your father must be very proud of what you accomplished so far. Whats so cool about watching you is that i live in melbourne fl. I wish i knew a freind like you back in my day. Im 72 now retired and watching people like you that can make money doing videos. Keep you the good work i really enjoy your videos. Its cool that your not really fare away. Keep up the good work ill keep watching good luck and stay safe danny thompson
I found your channel some weeks ago and got hooked. You are such an inspiration to the young people of America. Watching what is happening in your country, you would be forgiven for thinking the worst about America. EVERYONE should watch your channel, it shows the very best of America and American youth. BTW, I sailed up the Potomac Canal in 1963, in HMS Devonshire, on our way to Washington, the first British warship to do so since our attack on Washington during the War of Independence. Some bridges along the way had to be heightened!! The friendliness and kindness shown to us by your countrymen will never be forgotten. I even toured the White House!! God bless Gus, keep safe, keep smiling and keep posting videos.
Give me weekly updates man! I like watching the work that’s happening. I watch legit street cars 1 hour videos that he drops weekly and it really helps with engagement and keeping people up to date on what’s going on. You can get into a project rather than just getting a few minutes here and there of one thing and then the next
Gus, you have nothing to explain to all of us out here in TH-cam land --- nothing at all. You've got your shit together, you're a hard worker and I love watching you hit problems head on and not give up. Keep up the great work and thank you so very much for sharing your own personal journey with all of us!
the door is amazing, crazy how much work goes in to wood work and how much time is spent and how tedious the details are to make something like that look new again.
WOW I literally just watched 2 hours of this, and I feel like it's been ten minutes. Good stuff. Love watching boat work and restoration and you seem to know your stuff!
This just proves, if you want something! Just get out there and get it! Gus has valuable skills! And a huge work ethic to behold! Good bless the working Man!!!
Always something that's not working and yet so positive, humble and always smiling. You're a work horse with amazing skills. You are worth all your success. I dont own my own boat but your videos give me strength to fix my small problems with a smile. English is not my native language but your way to say "but" make me smile every time.👍
Hey Gus, That Classic Broward is a beautiful looking yacht! They don't make them like that anymore.. The Hatteras was nice, but the Broward is a real yacht. Congratulations! Keep the videos coming...
You are a major asset to that shipyard young man. You’re skilled & knowledgeable enough to tackle most jobs. You have a great work ethic and attitude towards getting the job done. You seem to have a great job too. A variety of tasks & challenges. Not monotonous work. Never a boring day. Fantastic video!!
I am so impressed how you know how to fix everything. Owning a boat like this would not be remotely feasible for me or most people because of how much knowledge about all the systems and engines is required! I’m happy for you that you get to enjoy your life on your terms like this!
Gus,out of ALL the videos I watch,Yours are the best.I’m not just saying that, they are. Here’s why I say that,I can sit and watch an hour,in this case over 2 and not have to keep changing subjects. Also your choice of music isn’t so bad either !
That boat at 15knts, that's awesome, great job Gus, love you're enthusiasm 😊. Proud of you dude, you basically saved that boat from a dark death, she has been very neglected ❤
If your a boat lover fixer upper this is the best channel on TH-cam, I tried to rebuild a 30’boat and it was more than i could do and i didn’t have the help, This is fantastic i get to see this !
You’re a really fuckin inspiring man. Your videos are 2 hours long but you don’t repeat yourself one time. Unless you’re really stoked about a few things haha. I’ve seen you explain how much goes down off camera and I’d much rather have this content than like an over produced and half the ‘nitty gritty details’ mess. I absolutely love how it’s just you explaining exactly what you had to do. You’re the owner, operator, mechanic, and film crew for all this. Fuckin killin it man. Infinite respect from Connecticut. All the best💪🏼
Gus, It's absolutely one of the best videos I've ever watched! For a young guy, you're one hell of a mechanic and all-around trouble shooter. Look forward to your next video The "Quartermaster"
Good stuff Gus. I remember the first and last time I drove a tractor trailer rig. I was in the Army and held the "Qualified to Operate Heavy" rating, but never used it for anything bigger than a deuce and a half. One day, at Fort Knox we had to go retrieve a downed Bell TH-13 helicopter that had to land at a farm after losing power. I was told to go get a 10 ton tractor and a high flat trailer from the motor pool. I hooked up and brought it to the hangar, then my co-driver drove us out to the farm. Once we had the helicopter loaded it was a bit over height and the skids hung out past the trailer deck about 6 inches on each side. We brought railroad ties to stick under it for extra support(making it higher) and tied it down, with 6 guys riding on back helping hold it steady. I started back on the two lane roads, nearly nicking the mail boxes along berm. When there was no oncoming traffic I got more to the center of the road. Soon we approached an intersection with a flashing light hanging down in the middle. I looked in the left mirror and there was Sarge waving and pointing. I just smiled back and kept boring straight for the light, with the front rotor blade positioned to spear it. I eased right just before the intersection, hoping the Sarge would crap his pants. Once safely back at the hangar I backed the rig in to where the transmission shaft was directly under the hook of the overhead crane, on the first try. The base General was standing there watching and when I got out of the cab, he said, "You looked like you knew what you were doing." I relied, "First time driving a rig, Sir."
Massive respect dude! I live in Arizona and in the circles I travel, I see very little that even comes close to your skill and attitude. Massive respect!
Such a happy bloke, so nice to see, and nothing seems to put you off. Loved your video and as you said, you’ve been “working hard at the marina”. Good to see the differ types of work marinas do. ❤
Gus dude...Outstanding video of what is happening with the Broward, and how you afford to go "In Too Deep!!". Brother, you are a hard working Moe Fo! I did your work ethics and integrity Brother! Kip has got an awesome operation going there in Maine as well!! I have to say my man. Not only do you work hard on your new rig, and the amount of hours you work on the job making that coin, but what about the time you put into making these videos Gus!!! Outstanding!!! I appreciate you taking the time to share what is going on with your Broward, the job, and what your next plans are!! Bahama's Baby!! That is going to be off the hook my man!! Keep up all the hard work Gus!! You my Man are leading by example and showing how, if you want to enjoy life, put the hard work into it, and you will enjoy whatever you are into!! Would love to one day take a cruise, get a tour of the new Broward!! I am a US Army Veteran who was a 61Bravo in the Army. Watercraft Operator!! Operated 65ft Mike Boats, 150ft U boats, and permanent party had me a Helmsman on the 388ft Army Cargo ship. Hauling all sorts of Military equipment. Hope all is well with you today Gus. Take good care of yourself Brother!! D for Drive, R for Race, drive fast, take some chances!! Peace out!! Sully...Rochester, NY

The base General was standing there watching and when I got out of the cab, he said, "You looked like you knew what you were doing." I relied, "First time driving a rig, Sir."
im inspired and humbled every time we love you
