I just bought a 2021 1500 Promaster that I will use for my wife who is totally disabled and needs reliable transportation to her doctor app. I have been specking out this Promaster with
pine, tongue & groove bulkheads, insulation, L-rails, q-straints, seatbelt lap belt, & commode. she cant stand or walk so a ramp is employed for the job of embark and debarkation but need a curb to do this safely. I might need to abandon the ramp if it proves to be a problem with loading for a wheel chair lift by Braun Ability at a later date. I am committed to the finish... Hm interesting? I’m trying to figure out what you’re getting at? Could you be more specific

@@AnkeneyVanBuilds Hard to explain in words but if you think of the top part of the board as an 'L', the flat part of the 'L' goes against the wall. That way if water drips down the wall it enters the space between the boards but then would need to flow upwards to get behind the board. The way you have it installed, when the water drips down it will get to the gap, flow inward and then easily flow down the back of the board. I'm trying to find a good reference on the internet but no one seems to really talk about this. My house has ship-lapped siding and we're in the PNW and all the rain would get behind it if it was the other way around. I hope that makes sense.

@@almuric interesting point. But either way the top or the bottom, that half lap goes over either side so even the way I did it, it would prevent water for getting in!

@@almuric I think what you’re seeing is the tongue down and the groove pointing up because he started at the top. Since he was face nailing the boards I stead of nailing through the tongue as you’d typically do, it wasn’t really necessary to put the tongue down. He’d have needed to rip the tongue off on a table saw or take it off with a flush trim router bit.

That looks horrible, the planks are way too wide and look like siding on a house

okay then simply don't do it to yours, no need for negativity.
