Gura did pretty good for someone that had never ever played chess, not gonna lie.
Was this her first chess game? If so, she actually did really well because most of her moves actually made some sense. I definitely expect a lot worse from people's first game of chess.
Yeah she said on stream that this was her first time playing chess. I definitely did much much worse on my first match
@@silverlux7266 Yup, I remember failing in my first chess game by getting checkmated in two turns lol. I stopped playing chess though because as a young kid, I kept getting frustrated on why my brother, the one who taught me how to play, keep telling me I was stupid when he kept ending the game in like 2-10ish turns and not explaining anything about the game lol.

I was considering making a chess analysis for this game, but luckily you made it for me! I watched your other video on the Kiara vs. Amelia and I really enjoyed it. I saw a few HIC-ups here and there, but overall it was a good analysis. I hope you continue to make videos and get better at content creation!
Honestly though, this is kind of encouraging in a way. I'm currently trying to do my homework before my first attempt at a rating climb and finding that I just can't seem to grasp the details in practice. Its nice to have a reminder that I have still progressed

I feel like Gura’s misplays were just overlooking certain moves. Compared to at least Kiara, she made a lot less “Oh god please make this game end” plays and just more disappointing ones.

Checkmate in 4, Fool's Mate variation. And it could've been played throughout a large portion of the beginning... but like many brilliant moves in chess, it was not played here.
If you think these Hololive games are painful, just imagine how they would have gone if they had been played manually on a physical chess board. Imagine all the illegal moves that would have been used, rendering post-match analysis impossible. :)
Happens with a friend of mine when we play, any bishop move that's further then 3 space I have to watch that that they dont stray off their color.
The arbiter would have a field day for that one! It’s hilarious cause they play basically classical-length games like how I play bullet 😂

it's kind of funny watching amelia struggle to get out the checkmate. chess is a complicated game, especially for beginners. It takes quite a bit of experience to be aware of all the pieces and their available moves. It's a lot to take in. You can't blame them.

This was the reason why, while watching it live, everyone believed that Gura would win. Early game was really obvious, but late game could have worked out for Gura too.
It was a really fun, brain melting, stream.

The e5 push isn't amazing imo. Moving the knight after its attacked to g6 guards the square the queen is eyeing while also attacking the rook
