In this episode, I have delved deeper into some areas that are, most of the times, avoided or not talked about at all. This podcast has basically focused on marital sex life and mental health issues that can be traced back to this very aspect of a marital relationship. We have discussed in detail how our negligence has been causing severe damage to overall ecosystem and what steps should be taken to lead our lives with intimacy and openness towards our life partners. Sex life is not discussed decently and without jest which qualifies this subject as taboo and there’s no open talk or discussion.
Questions are not raised, and life partners live all their lives with preconceived notions about what’s acceptable and unacceptable between life partners’ intimate union. This lack of discussion and productive debate is the reason majority of youth has been drawing inspiration from porn. Porn addiction has been prevalent across the globe but in Pakistan, the rate is unprecedented due to increasing availability of internet and smartphones. There are many misconceptions that are considered normality in marital life and life partners’ expectations are tailored accordingly.
There are several ideas such as ‘size matters’, ‘staying hard for hours in bed’, and ‘performance anxiety’ that have clearly been domain of content churned out by porn industry. We have discussed sensitive topics such as foreplay in detail along with its physical and psychological connotations for better sex life. Sex Life has to do with a whole lot of factors that are non-sexual in nature but play pivotal role in determining how one feels about the pinnacle of sexual experience or about orgasm.
There’s discussion about reality of intimacy in relationships, and attitudes of our loved ones when it comes to a fulfilled sexual experience with our partners. We have also touched upon very awkward familial practices in our society where couples need to prove they had sex on the very night of the wedding. We also have had a detailed discussion on how working out can lead to good sex life. In conclusion we discussed few questions that relate to longevity of relationships beyond sexual act. Sex education for kids has also been discussed with possible approaches to make a mark in our future generations’ lives.

Finally somebody talked about this simple yet one of the most important things in our lives that has become a taboo these days or i should say since forever... sex life and mental health! Its been years literally years that i was looking for this conversation... this topic to be discussed. For a person who is going through any of the issues, be it mental or physical thats related to their sexual life specially married ones, not finding the answers to their questions is as frustrating as going through it is! Not a single person, be it a teacher or doctor, none i could find who did talk about this topic. I cant thank you guys enough for bringing it up so profoundly and in such an amazing way that anybody can watch it and learn from it.
